Absolutely amazing meal - gorgeous brushetta for starter and then a delicious roast for main. The roast dinner was the nicest I have eaten in years!!! A meal enjoyed by all of the family, served by very friendly staff. Keep doing what you are doing, can’t wait to go back.

I've just been in there today. I've also read previous reviews. I ate and drank there. It was great, food was quick to arrive and was cooked well. Inside its got a classy feel, different types of chairs and tables so you can pick somewhere comfortable to sit. I had a big wingback chair but was tempted by the windows. I will be going back it was great. And there is street parking outside. If you go out back you can sit outside too.

Last time we went to Sir Charles was in winter lashing down with rain. Walking into warm open fire set the mood then, fast forward to this vist. Beautiful summers evening taking a friend along as he is a great food lover. Sitting in garden enjoying the summers evening choosing our food and dinning outside. Food was faultless thank you very much to the team.

One of the few cafes in England where the bread is normal and not toast, the coffee is delicious and the service is very nice. It's worth visiting 😄

Went here last night with a group of 11. We were asked to pre order food prior to our visit which we had no problem with. However, when the food came, three of the meals were missing chicken (as ordered) and had to be sent back and one meal was forgotten about completely. The meals that were sent back took another 20 minutes to arrive and the meal that was forgotten about didn't arrive for around 40 minutes after the first meal had come out. By which time, everyone else had finished eating. There were also two bowls of chips that didn't arrive with the rest of the meals. The food itself was very nice but the service was poor, very slow and no apologies for the food mix ups. Despite all of the errors, we were not offered any discount on the meal. In fact, the bar manager was very rude and unprofessional when we said we did not want to pay for the meal that had been forgotten about. Would go here again for drinks but not to eat.

The service was slow had to go to the bar for drinks when we actually got are meals and asked for sauces we had nearly ate are meals would never recommend this pub to anyone

Went for a walk in delamere forest and stopped at the carriers inn 5 min away from the car park. Nice chilled atmosphere with a great beer garden overlooking the lake which was well maintained with an amazing view. The staff were so friendly and the food was perfect they even have a doggy menu

This pub/hotel is very much open and was hopping when we went. We had booked a table for dinner but sadly, nobody had told us there was live music. It became an issue as it was impossible to chat. There was no way of escaping the music (which was ok) except to leave. The food was a mixed bag - one starter arrived tepid and had to be sent back - the pies were ok and the steak went down well. Just a shame that the evening was ruined - we would have booked elsewhere had we known.

Great pub and you'll find some gem hand pulled beers in here on occasion. Food, staff and service are great!

I’ve been here a few times with some friends for the Prosecco and Pottery classes and have absolutely loved every one of them. The team is lovely, the atmosphere is brilliant and the pottery making is so fun. Would highly recommend!

The environment was nicely decorated and the service was friendly but the quality of the food was varied. 3 out of the 4 of us ordered fish. Only 1 of the fish was nice, the other 2 were over fried which really affected the quality. The 4th person ordered madras flavoured shepherds pie which was ok but not spectacular. The way it was presented was good and the flavour of the little side pots of curry sauce and mushy peas was lovely but they were very small. The price was high so overall we expected more.

Traveling the canal and stopped here on our way to Anderton for afternoon tea. Food and service was fantastic, we loved it so much we stopped again for lunch on our way back to Middlewich. Staff friendly, food yummy and a lovely spot to sit and relax looking over the Marina.

Had my first mothers day here <3 . Food was excellent and the new member of staff who took our order was great 👍
