Chiquito - Cheshire Oaks in Cheshire West and Chester

We came tonight as a pre-valentines dinner and there was a great atmosphere, the lady hosting was lovely and very happy! Our server was great, food order taken promptly and our food arrived in not time, we've never been before but will certainly be coming again! My burrito was amazing along with the spicy fries and my partner was very happy with his burger and dirty fries. Finished off with a cheesecake and brownie and we has a lovely evening thanks!

Yesterday 5th pf February we visit Hungry Horse for my daughter birthday. We ordered 3 meals from the Wednesday deal, which is supposed to be 8£ and a free drink, and I was charged 8.99 with no drinks.After I spoke with the manager about she said she said she can't gave as drinks because we didn't mention at first. The Wednesday deal includes wine as well, but be careful at the brand.They are 3 types on the picture, but only one is 7.99.I was charged 17.99We didn't feel OK after that and we have puddings next door.Never happens before to a restaurant not to get was was in the offer because I didn't ask from the beginning

Visit here regularly for a breakfast before work. Customer service is superb. Food is excellent. Sue is a credit to your establishment. Always welcomes me with a smile and goes that extra mile.

Service was great, however the food was atrocious. The korean bbq burger was terrible, the salt and pepper fries were “seasoned” like sawdust. The toilet doors have no appropriate locks on them. Dissapointing

This is the best place to have a mix it up meal. Came out sizzling (most green king pubs won’t serve it sizzling) everything piping hot. Service outstanding. Friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend we will be back!

Nice and family friendly. Had an issue with my meal and the lady looking after us Lisa dealt with this straight away and even gave us some free deserts as an apology. She was really friendly and great with my two young sons.

Hi All , My wife and I visited the Hungry Horse Cheshire Oaks on Saturday 18 January. As usual the food was lovely and the service outstanding. I feel I should draw attention to the professionalism of Lisa , the duty manager . On this visit I watched her expertly manage a situation with a customer who's behaviour was nothing short of vile Well done to Lisa and her team, A credit to the Hungry Horse . Had a great time, staff where amazing and got quick and nice service

We visited at 5pm on a Thursday evening and there were plenty of tables to choose from. The atmosphere was pleasant with quiet music in the background so you can easily have a conversation without shouting. We ordered food via the app which was easy to navigate and it automatically applied an offer discount. We ordered the vegan mushroom and ale pie. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and food around five minutes later. The food was as described on the menu, nicely presented and hot. We followed this with a delicious vegan chocolate torte which was a soft mouse (around the size of a Mr Kipling cake slice) with fresh strawberries. The staff were attentive and polite. I haven't really any big negatives with this pub other than the female toilets would appreciate a bit of general maintenance. Two (out of 4) of the cubicles had doors which didn't close properly so couldn't be locked and one had no toilet paper.

Food was prompt and exactly as promised, service was very friendly, it's a great place to catch up with friends

We called in for breakfast before a shopping trip to the Outlet Village. I had the Super Special Breakfast which was huge - and only £6.99. It was piping hot and good quality. Our servers (Sue and Brandon) were very welcoming and gave us everything that we wanted. It's a great place to stop off and we will be returning sometime soon!

Came in Friday 17 January, ordered the burgers,one of the burgers was awful,all it tasted of is fat ,and the Guinness had a funny taste on it ,very disappointed,left thinking want a waste of money

Our first visits to this branch. The atmosphere is inviting And the dining area is spotless. We were served and introduced to Sue, who offered us first class service. We are both vegetarians and the food was exceptional, with a great selection. This is a little jem and we will certainly be returning

Food was really good except from where the staff failed. I had 1 less onion ring than I was supposed to which was quickly sorted. My partner specifically asked for no onion in her dinner and he salad was full of it which put her off her meal. Atmosphere was good, music, friendly staff

5/5 8th January 2025. The first ‘Wandering Wednesday’ of the New Year… Took Hubby Neil and I to Cheshire Oaks, to one of our favourite eateries…. Chiquito’s….. we love this Mexican restaurant. Fresh food, cooked to order, full of flavours and colour! We both had a pot of tea, as this day is so cold with the snow and freezing fog…. Starters: we both had the same: a double stack of tortillas, layered with garlic butter, parsley with mozzarella and oven baked….. thin and crispy, a perfect base…. A simple dish but sooooo tasty. Entrée’s: Neil had a tinga chicken and beef chilli Burrito filled with rice, black beans, salsa, mozzarella, quac, jalapeño cheese sauce, all wrapped in a tortilla, with added volcano sauce to spice it up, the dish was dressed with a side of homemade nachos with sour cream to dip…. Neil also added a side of spicy fries. I had tinga chicken with beef chilli Enchiladas, filled with rice, jalapeño cheese sauce, black beans, baked in the oven with rich tomato sauce, mixed with volcano sauce for that extra little kick and melted mozzarella over the top, with red pickled onions and sour cream…… A side of loaded crisp seasoned fries with chicken, chorizo and melted mozzarella….. All the dishes were perfect, our server today was a lovely lady who has served us previously, Amanda was professional, very courteous and attentive, a total credit to this establishment, many thanks for making our lunch perfect. Also massive complements to the chefs for their beautifully presented, culinary delights! Will we be back? Really! No need to ask!! 100% yes!!

Great dog friendly pub. Ideal if you are staying at the nearby Travelodge with a canine companion. We had a really good breakfast here. Many thanks to the waitress who took the picture of us and the dog in front of Santa's chair and the Christmas tree.

I had waffles with strawberries 🍓, waffles was so hard I could have throw them and broke a window, we ordered a big breakfast, and the eggs were half cooked and bacon 🥓 was swimming in fat and not cooked enough ordered scrambled eggs, large plate for a small child and no butter on toast, toast should have butter on before bringing out the food.

Great place to shop for the bargains. Admittedly New year bargains for 2024 were less this year but loads of top shops and places to eat. Good for a weekend away and some relaxing time

This was the most tasteless food I’ve ever eaten it was frozen reheated crap. I ask for a pint of lemonade and it was 2/3 full asked for it to be topped up and a drop was poured. I will never ever be returning to hunger horse and would never recommend to anybody to eat here.

Fabulous family Christmas dinner

The Nachos were served cold unlike at Chiquito in Broughton it was hot and tasty. Was so excited with my steak and so poured my peppercorn sauce on it BUT the sauce was spoilt, it was sour and taste foul. So I was scrapping off the sauce from my steak so I will just it the steak but luckily the staff came over and offered to change it for a new one. She was very nice( and a top-notch staff. thank you whoever you are)

We popped in whilst shopping in the area. This was one of many visits and the food was lovely and great value for what we had especially as we could use my blue light card too. Our server was super friendly too! Restaurant clean and tidy, a lovely atmosphere.

I have a nut allergy and carry epipens as have anaphylaxis. However before ordering when I informed and asked a staff member if the food I was ordering contained nuts, she said she was not allowed to tell me whether or not the product contained nuts? She then signposted me to the app after I expressed confusion as to why she couldn’t tell me if the product actually had nuts in or not. However, I really struggled to find the product on the app with allergy information and would have much preferred some confidence from the staff and acknowledgement of my severe allergy, as far as I know the kitchen was not informed. As someone with anaphylaxis, I would not return.

Food was as expected for the kind of place. Dessert portions are generous but mains a bit meh. It serves a purpose.

I arrived without a booking & asked for a table for 8. Thankfully really good service from the staff who sat me & found us a table without fuss. Ordered food (Sunday roast for myself) & I added a £2.99 triple of pigs in blankets, roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding extra to my Sunday roast. It all came out bar the pigs in blankets, asked for them to the waiter who came back from the kitchen who said I hadn’t ordered any, I mean the extra came on another plate so showed him this. He then went back to the kitchen, comes back again and says the menu doesn’t show this added extra, I show him the menu who confims the added extra, lastly he revisits the kitchen and comes back to say well the pigs wasn’t added. I mean I had the extra plate in front of me showing I added them. I had to physically then go up to the member of staff who took my order and ask him, he then said yes he ordered this and please go get them for him. Literally took 5 minutes of arguing for my pigs in blankets. 😂 Overall poor food, small portions and some didn’t turn up.

2nd time visiting and ordered the same item I had previously which was the sizzler. I was very impressed during the first visit that’s why I ordered it again this time however this time the presentation of food was different and not as good as the first time we visited so I was already disappointed. Moreover, I asked for my steak to be medium rare however it came out overdone and was more of a well done steak, also was cold. I did raise this issue and the 2nd steak I received was medium rare and cooked how I asked however it took so long to come back! My friend had finished her meal by the time my meal came back. It was also served with the wrong sauce. Unlikely to be returning.

Very bad experience, very bad service from an old lady service.

Food was horrid. Salt and pepper chips just had seasoning throw on it and inedible. Burger bap was soaked from sauce at the top of the burger and the New York chicken was a chicken breast with BBQ sauce squirted over the top. Cheap food but not worth he money

Would have been okay if it wasn’t for the rude assistant manager with the red hair and unhygienic fake nails.

Very poor service, food is mediocre at best.

Normally it'd be the food that'd make me leave a review, however, in this case, it is absolutely necessary to recognise our waiter- 'Malam'. He made our experience a memorable one. He was friendly and professional. He managed to strike the exact right amount of friendliness to my partner and I. He had a very warm smile and engaged with us fully. I observed Malam to see how he was throughout our time at Chiquito and he seemed happy to be there, it seemed to me that it was more than just a job to him- he joked with other staff and other customers however, worked consistently. He left lasting smiles on people's faces and Chiquito should recognise this gentleman who is clearly an asset to the company. Well done Malam, because of you, we'll be back soon.

5/5 13 November 2024 ‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubster Neil and I to Chiquito’s at Cheshire Oaks. Starters: Neil had a double tortilla, oven baked layered with melted cheese, garlic butter, parsley and finely chopped red chilli on top, lovely and crisp with no soggy bottom! I had Quesadilla Birria with melted mozzarella cheese, fried onion and shredded beef….. served with a gravy jus. Entrée’s: Neil had Burrito filled with rice, refried beans, salsa, mozzarella, guacamole, jalapeño cheese sauce, tinga chicken, beef chilli and hot sauce all wrapped up in a large tortilla, the oven baked, accompanied with homemade tortilla chips and sour cream…..and a side dish of spiced fries. I had Enchiladas, tortillas filled with rice, jalapeño cheese sauce, tinga chicken and Barbacoa beef, baked in tomato sauce, smothered with Monterey Jack cheese, then finished off with sour cream and pink onions. A side dish of loaded nachos, jalapeño peppers, onions, melted mozzarella, sour cream, jalapeño cheese sauce, guacamole and salsa, with chicken and chorizo, tray baked so it all infused! Washed down with a pot of tea each, warmed us cockles as it was a very cold day. Our server was a lovely lady called Amanda, excellent service with a beautiful smile, very polite and attentive, totally professional, a credit to this restaurant, thank you, also many thanks to the chefs, your food was delicious, again thank you. The restaurants all around the ‘Coliseum’ at Cheshire Oaks look very tired and washed out from the outside but we can reassure you that Chiquito’s on the inside is gleaming, very clean, surrounded with very colourful, Mexican shades in the decor, truly beautiful inside and the food is OUTSTANDING, as always…… Will we go back? Most DEFINITELY!!!

Visited here around midday on a Saturday. It wasn't very busy. There were quite a few tables looking in need of a clean. The food was fine. The people I interacted with were pleasant and helpful.

Both me and my partner had the "Gravy one" chicken burger and both of us have been sick all night! We have contacted hungry horse and still waiting for a reply

Usually this place is spot on usually it’s a 5 star but today the staff were rude food cold and and I asked for no peppercorn sauce. The lady who served us more bothered about weekend plans. There was hardly any cutlery and no napkins I asked 3 times if I could have some and she said wait that’s fine but still waiting 10 mins and I stress wasn’t busy. Wish I’d have gone to McDonald

Payed a visit to The Hungry Horse with a group. Suprised to find the service was great, friendly and quick. The food was better than expected ( after reading reviews) and the prices were very good too.

So I went to hungry Horse today and ordered 8 chicken nuggets, garlic bread, chicken strips and vanilla ice cream and they were really good . Bob was very welcoming and friendly and Mia was very friendly with serving the Food . And there is a positive warm and welcoming vibe in here . I highly recommend this place

Came here for our one year anniversary and it did not disappoint at all. My partner had never tried Mexican food and I think this place will now be on the list to regularly visit. When we arrived we were sat down very quickly and didn’t have to wait at all. Service was warm, friendly and efficient. I ordered a chimichanga and my partner ordered a fajita with steak and chicken. Both did not disappoint. They came out with very little waiting and the portions were large, tasty and hot. I ordered a side of jalapeno poppers and I heavily recommend these with the chilli dip. Absolutely recommend people try this place. The menu options, service and quality tick all the boxes.

We call it ping food comes out of the microwave standard warmed up expensive for the standard travelled over an hour to meet up with family never again some was cold 2 orders of drinks missing cracks in cup of tea

Popped in after shopping on the oaks mid afternoon, ordered our drinks and a dessert at the bar served by Lincoln who was very polite and chatty,the dessert was chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and was delicious, the service was excellent, we will definitely be returning again.

We visited before trip to the cinema. It was quite quiet considering how busy it can get and we were served promptly. We had a kids wrap meal, steak and fried, and two different types of fajitas as well as loaded fries. All the food was delicious. The only slight thing was the wraps were a bit cool. Lovely waitress too! So friendly.
