Went in at 6pm and picked up a sandwich to be heated (which were still out on display!!!) Before I said anything, a man called Will barked at me "We can't heat that up now, we've cleaned the ovens down in time for closing". I asked what time Costa closed and he informed me it was 7pm!!!!!!! One hour before closing is too short notice to heat up a crappy tuna melt?? Please!!!! Won't be returning....

On Wednesday forty, yes forty, of us from a U3A Keep Active group had a pre booked lunch and everybody said how pleased they were with the hot food, the atmosphere and the excellent service ( especially from Karen). We are enjoyed ourselves so whatās not to like Weāll be back

The milkshakes were terribly overpriced and way to high in calories! after my shake i felt terrible and so fatty, this made my self esteem go down by alot because my local priest told me i had put on weight.

Place lovely. Ambience lovely. Staff really nice. I had sirloin, as did my friend. Mine was never rare and neither was his medium. Both steaks overdone and tough. As it was a lunch gathering of friends we did not complain. However, my partner had cod and chips and it was excellent.

Great pub ! Lovely food and a warm welcome. Called in for dinner Saturday night. Had pie and chips and apple crumble/chocolate brownie - all were top notch. Welcoming locals and landlord. Call in - you won't regret it !

The food was fine, but the portions were very small, especially considering the price. The staff were happy to give us extra, but the assistant manager got involved and seemed to want to provoke an argument. We asked to speak to the manager. When he arrived, his main concern was which member of staff had offered to give us more food as they shouldn't have done so. All in all, poor value for money and bad customer service.

Not bad, but nothing special. Coffee is a bit disappointing and the service tends to be slow. Can't blame the staff for that though, it's the usual Alderley Edge clientele who hold everything up as they wait until getting to the front of the line before deciding what they want to drink - every single time this happens. Otherwise it's in a fairly nice spot and has outdoor seating.

We booked last minute for dinner on the evening of Saturday 28th September. It was really busy and had a lovely vibe, lots of celebrations taking place as well as small groups. The food was excellent, I had the fish pie with French peas, it was delicious, unusually the pie wasnāt served in a dish but on its own surrounded by a fabulous light sauce. My husband enjoyed a pork, black pudding and apple burger topped with blacksticks rarebit, again delicious. The service was excellent, there truly must be a Brunning and Price University. Another fabulous meal, great service, lovely decor and relaxed vibe. Highly recommended.

Called in today for lunch with a friend. The Windmill is a good meeting place just off the M6. Staff were great, as always, we have met there before. Good food, good beer (though couldn't have much with the car outside). Happy to recommend. Worth treating yourself to proper pub food instead of paying more money for a motorway services burger.

Mid week the Harrow had plenty of space to accommodate an impromptu family gathering. I know that at weekends itās really advised to reserve a table. Weāve been coming to this pub pretty much all our lives, but was impressed by the upgrades and expansion. The menu was interesting and didnāt disappoint. The service from Shane was awesome. They have some great offers and discounts online so that diners of all budgets can enjoy it. Definitely putting this back on my āvisits Homeā itinerary.
