Great visit during half term for the kids to play and then to go on to dine , kids ate free which is a real bonus. We ordered our food unfortunately one of the children became unwell and we need to leave quickly. The staff were amazing, very professional and understanding especially Karen who boxed up our food enabling us to get on our way quickly. Our food was enjoyed at home .

The milkshakes were terribly overpriced and way to high in calories! after my shake i felt terrible and so fatty, this made my self esteem go down by alot because my local priest told me i had put on weight.

This is an absolute gem of a countryside inn! We visited today, Easter Sunday following a recommendation from a friend. We both had roast dinners (the most amazing roast dinner I’ve ever had) the vegetarian roast was also superb on our table, which was a butternut squash, lentil and almost wellington. Full of flavour! Good portion sizes. The staff are really attentive and friendly. They really do look after the guests. Today’s food was absolutely superb and was 10/10 the best roast dinner I’ve ever had! Desserts were equally good! Oreo cheesecake was top shelf, clearly home made. The rhubarb tart was also a winner! I can’t believe the rating on here isn’t higher than 3.9?! We will undoubtedly be returning again soon. Highly recommend to everyone! We were just a party of two today, but there was bigger groups, its dog friendly and perfect for couples and families. Great menu that covers a good range of dietary requirements too. Thankyou for an amazing lunch! See you again soon!

Went there as we was away for a couple of day. Called in lovely clean pub great, Service was brilliant. Defo call in again when down there again. Thank you for great time.

Met up with old work colleagues for a spot of lunch. Huge choice of food from a sandwich through to a main meal. All our choices were great & the staff all friendly & attentive.

Not bad, but nothing special. Coffee is a bit disappointing and the service tends to be slow. Can't blame the staff for that though, it's the usual Alderley Edge clientele who hold everything up as they wait until getting to the front of the line before deciding what they want to drink - every single time this happens. Otherwise it's in a fairly nice spot and has outdoor seating.

We were on the way home from Manchester and wanted to find a pub for dinner, we came off the motorway and headed for Congleton just by chance really. We found the Queens Head, what a fantastic find, a little gem. The food was perfect, we had Sunday lunch. The service was absolutely excellent from the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left. If we are nearby again we will be sure to stop.

The Sunday carvery is great deal for the price if you go other pubs you are paying a lot of money for less. Cheap for a family to go. And have money left be going every Sunday from now on

We went for a meal to celebrate my son's birthday. Good food and fantastic service.

A gem of a place, we stopped here after a long flight, arrived later than planned and they had kept the kitchen open in case we needed anything, A warm welcome a good pint comfortable nights sleep, and a hearty breakfast.
