The coffee this chain sells is probably the best one can expect given I'm from Australia and our coffee game is quite high.

One toilet and coffee was cold. It's a flat white not meant to be hot but this was cold.

Love this Nero . The guys are always super friendly even when under pressure ... their plant based raspberry crossaints are fab!

Cafe mocca wasn't hot and the powdered Chai was underwhelming...

In here nearly everyday. Staff are great and coffee normally on point but I don't understand why they don't do something about all the flies. It's so unhygienic. Really needs a deep clean and a bit of a refresh.

It's a nice, relaxing place for having a chat with a friend or just have a coffee and read a book.

Arrived at 10.30 to queue of 7 in front. The baristas were painfully slow at one stage stopping serving to empty and refill the dishwasher. Made the drinks one at a time so took even longer. 2 coffees eventually arrived at 10.55. They need more and quicker staff. Won’t be going back.

Very friendly service, despite of it being so busy.

Went in for a drink, my parents were with me but weren't ordering anything. It was to take away. Both staff members were not very welcoming with one making a point that we were only ordering one drink. There was no one else in there so it wasn't like they were taking up room at all. The inside of the cafe was really nicely designed. Latte itself was ok.

Alderley Edge is our favourite Caffè Nero!

Just to clarify, this was the one in Alderley Edge. Say this, as I think it one of the cleanest ones I have been in. Still needs a refurbishment as a lot of Nero's do. Good, friendly, efficient service, and a coffee that tastes like it should :)

Dogs in coffee shops where food is served is a bad idea as it creates smell and hygiene issues. Perhaps in the outside area only would be a solution.

The closing times on the Google search was incorrect

Popped in for drinks whilst passing through Alderley Edge. The woman who served us was rude. I had forgotten my glasses so couldn’t see the name of the cake properly so thought it said something else and then she answered sharply. She forgot to give us one of the cakes even though we had paid. Definitely won’t be returning!!

I have been going to this Cafe Nero for more than ten years. Since covid they have gone to card only and stayed card only. I will no longer be going to my favourite coffee shop because of this reason. I would say to the owners that the vast majority of people who go to your establishment are of similar age to myself i.e. 50 and that era is very much used to using cash. I understand paying into the bank can be a pain especially now banks are closing however the customer is king or in your case not.

The management don't read the TA reviews or things would surely change? I like the decor, the coffee and the big comfy armchairs. My friend was second in the queue and it took 5 minutes to get the coffees in. Our table wasn't cleared in that time so we did it. It's just a shame, there were plenty of customers coming in but how many were happy with the service?

Enjoyed a break from shopping and had a coffee and a cake at Cafe Nero, quick service and loved the comfy chairs !

Looking for a change and Nero has a few available seats outside. It's my round and I fear there's two customers in front of me and we're only out for an hour. Young girl concentrating on the job, no time for a smile or a word, really felt she should have help. going to be 5 minutes. There was someone else around apparently, just not in the caffe. This other member of staff should be chatting with the customers, making sure everyone has what they want and cleaning up when people leave. Oh, yes and dealing with scrotes with their feet on seats, drinking cans of Strongbow in the corner!

Visited here twice this week as a queue to the door at Costa and you know that that means a big wait out of the sunshine! The Village next door was busy too and my friend suggested we pop in here. Had to move a few empties but some good seating outside. Only me in the queue so served immediately! The young chap made conversation and the coffee does take a little longer to make but that's probably no bad thing. Good coffee. Received a survey by email so they are trying to solve any issues, probably those raised in previous reviews on here. No complaints, will call in again.

This Caffe Nero seems a bit fancier than some others I've been to, but mostly, as with all chain places, it's pretty much the same everywhere.

I like Caffe Nero in as much as it is a cosy place to sit and relax during lunchtime. Not the fastest service but then it seems none of the coffee chains are able to achieve this. If I had one wish for the place it would be to see the area behind the counter kept tidy during quiet times as there are always dregs of coffee and water on the surfaces. Nice staff though.

Visiting Alderley Edge with my daughter and grandson we decided to sit outside as the weather was warm We noticed the shear lack of clendliness around the right hand side of the sitting area Old leaves , old cig buts very ,old litter , cobwebs , dust and sheer disgusting uncaring mess , hygiene was no where to be seen My daughter visiting was horrified re the lack of care to customer comfort , Get your brush out cafe Nero

The coffee and the consistency will never let you down..Their interiors are amazing as well.Just go for it

Called in Friday lunch time and although I was the next to be served, I waited a while for the customer in front of me then received an apology from the young chap serving as he disappeared up some stairs. It seemed to be a one man show, on a Friday lunch, in Alderley Edge, incredible. Whilst I was waiting to be served, my friend cleared a table of crockery and general detritus. The coffee was good, I had a Latte which was thick and strong, a bit too strong for me. We weren't given spoons so just collected a couple of wooden sticks. It's such a shame really, I liked the ambience and the decor was a step up from Costa.

Enjoyed coffee and cake again. I don't think dogs should be allowed in eating establishments with the exception of guide dogs. Far too many customers are going in with their dogs and this is not hygienic. Wetherspoons are banning dogs next month and I think other eateries should follow suit.

We all like our coffee differently but the other major chains seem to provide a level of consistency. We think Nero offer by far the best coffee out of the 3 major coffee chains on offer in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge but Nero often make their latte far too hot so that the milk separates.I have to take the coffee back about every one in three because it is far too hot...I never have to do this at the other two chains that shall remain nameless on this review because they always serve their coffee at the right temperature on a consistent basis..Oh that Nero could do the same.

The coffee is fine of course but I find the service in here rude and uncaring, not always but more often than not.

Typical Nero, great coffee, a relaxed atmosphere with bookshelfs and wall prints. All the staff are well trained and friendly. Sometimes the store is a little cold so bring an extra layer. They also have a good selection of fresh pastries delivered each morning!

Standard Nero coffee and fodder. If you like the vibe of Cafe Nero, you will like it here. The restaurant feels very linear - very narrow, but goes really far back, but it doesn't feel too small. There a quite a few steps towards the back if you have accessibility requirements, but staff are always willing to help in that regard.

I am always popping in for a coffee it is the best coffee of all ,I get my laptop out ,relax in decent comfy chairs, the Wi-Fi is free, nice people work here, What I really wanted to say is , I had to find out why people with wheelchairs were made to feel unwelcome ,actually I am not going into the details, quite simply there is a large New wheelchair sign on the door Itself next to the bell,and gladly the staff will bring the ramps to assist, Everyone is welcome it's a coffee House ,I just felt obliged find out what happened and to comment as I first wrote about Nero in Tripadvisor

Shocked to be denied access because I'm in a wheelchair. Please get a simple ramp. This is not acceptable in 2017.

Despite being one of the UK's largest coffee shop chains it seems that wheelchair users are still being denied access. My wife uses a power chair, so I popped up the rather large step to ask for the ramp... to which I was informed there wasn't one. Unfortunately I can't comment on the drinks or food in this review.
