Pizza out of stock for the third time going, girlfriend not happy as unable to fulfil pregnancy cravings:( but I do love spoons

It reminds me of other whetherspoons pubs I've been in...I only go in for the pattern on the plates

Went to Spoons after not going since our last terrible experience about 12 months ago to see if it had improved. Order a pint and a large Merlot for my wife. The pint of Abbotts was not the best so after finishing it decided to try something else, the was only have a small Merlo this time. Went to the bar and this dark headed girl served me when I returned to our table there were bits on top of the wife’s wine which indicates that it was the dregs of the bag , so I returned to the bar to show the same girl who served me 2 minutes before and all she did was look at it, never said a word or apologised just tipped it away, I asked if I could have Chardonnay instead so she poured that and then proceeded to charge me. This is definitely the last time I will use this pub, staff ignorant ( some of them) and the food does not look like it’s improved much.

Food was really disappointing, we visit here regularly and service and food are usually good. Ordered a medium/rare steak with jacket potato and salad/peas. Have ordered this meal a few times previously. Sometimes it comes with peas and a small salad garnish, or just peas. Husband asked when ordering and this was reiterated. Meal arrived, cremated steak with a dry jacket potato … nothing else, not a pea in sight. We then ordered a salad which took ten minutes to arrive and steak/ sad potato was cold. Asked to soeak to manager, told she was on her break. Nobody cares here, all the good staff seem to have left.

No fish and chips again for the second time in two weeks, chicken burger awful,dry and no taste, chips ok but no garnish.will not be eating there again. Staff good

Food was nice. Service not so great, didn't feel too welcome. Some members of staff had an attitude and not hospitable.

Nice Wetherspoon pub. Bit quiet and didn’t eat but friendly enough. Tasteful decor of an old pub building.

Always call a weatherspoons for a full fat Friday that's been the best by far lovely warm food nice pub clean and tidy and good value for money top marks

So been in here since 15:30pm for food and then some drinks with my mum and a notice goes on the table at 17:25pm saying, “Table Reserved from 18:00pm” which is only half an hour ago, which normally when they use to do it it be on early so then you can either move or go.. No expected to move at 18:00pm as its reserved, but then when we asked a member of staff when they started doing reserves, he didn’t know why and he’ll get the manager, which she never showed up!!!!

Food has always been good apart from on one occasion but Will the manager sorted it - he is a gem - a really great guy!!

It's a very handy place to pop in and have a cup of tea and sometimes have my breakfast there very understanding as have a Diability .very polite,helpful And pleasant .staff are always rushd off their feed ..

10th July No Chilli No Carne - even though it was listed as a NEW item No Bangers and Mash Naan bread too hard to eat on Chicken Jalfrezi Coffee machine only dispensing half cup of latte No straws for drinks

5* as it is a Wetherspoons pub, and amazing value for food and drink. Always busy.

First time in the George and it was a great experience, lovely staff, great decor, clean toilets nice food for the family. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would go back again.

Pleasant Witherspoon. Food is good standard and we didn't have to wait long for food. Staff very pleasant. Location is centre of Sandbach town. We had meal mid afternoon and wasn't too pleased...jacket potato wasn't great, very hard skin, felt as if cooked and reheated several times,and chips my friend had were very dry and we left majority. Had breakfast before this last visit and all was ok...very basic but was extremely busy Atmosphere.

The food is ok, pretty cheap and I like the fact you could go in your pajamas and no one would bat an eye.

struggled to park, but we found a spot near menu as expected using the app may help, but did not have it not a issue food looked good menu prices are what to expect would go again

Couple of cheeky afternoon pints, spoons is spoons, cheap and cheerful, can't grumble at £1.79 a pint to sit inside and have a chat. Had a bowl of nachos to share everything was to be expected or better.

I like the pub and we have used it in the past. Last night the food was poor. I had an American burger which was overdone and the presentation was poor. Probably will not go again.

Food was nice, served quickly and the coffee was good. Would have given it 5 stars but the two female members of staff on duty this morning had faces longer than a wet weekend. Happily the gentleman behind the bar was quite the opposite, smiley, welcoming and warm. C’mon ladies, you’re front of house, please cheer up as it makes your customers feel uncomfortable.

Typical wetherspoon, food cold, service slow, not a good choice for breakfast on route to airport.

A quick morning bite to eat with a drink, service good, food good though there was a item missing from my order . I seem to be jinxed at Wetherspoons !

Nice local to my mum witherspoon pub. As usual the real beer is a good variation with the food being second to none in value. My only wish would be a return to phoenix wobbly Bob as a full time ale on tap in there.

Good standard of Wetherspoons, you know what you are going to get

Cold food- always. Hadn’t been for a while and had been told they were trying to improve so went in for breakfast . Not many eating in so food and drinks arrived quickly . Cold bacon, cold beans, cold egg, rubbery toast (to the point of inedible) warm sausage, hot hash browns and hot black pudding. Great prices for a meal but it is totally spoilt and they could do so much better easily. Didn’t bother to send it back as previous experience proves it wouldn’t change much. The kitchen is behind the bar so can’t think why a breakfast would be served cold other than cooking one thing at a time and waiting for each one to cook separately before plating and serving on a cold plate. Perhaps they need an experienced chef on staff for a day to show how food should be cooked and served ? Or even better listen to the customers who still go in. I’m told not all weatherspoons are the same but Sandbach seems to stand head and shoulders above its peers for cold food service. Unfortunately it has high competition for eateries in the area with which it can’t compete but would be a shame to see it close. Will not be going again unless they can do much much better.

A good place to grab a quick cuppa whilst out and about Tea and coffee are free refills which sounds good but often one or other of the machines need attention which is not always forthcoming Good if it had hot chocolate on free refill like other witherspoon have but generally enjoyable good to play Pokemon Go from a central location

Gorgeous little gem in the centre of s classy little town.

Service was relatively quick given we were there at lunch time and the place was very busy. They listened to my dietary requirements and were very helpful and polite.

Decent spoons, scoff was great, warm plates and friendly staff. A bit screamy as it was some bints birthday. Bogs upstairs

Another great nite at Spoons. They ran out out of Haggis but had a healthy stock of Whisky and other delightful cuisine. A lovely guy, half Scottish & Half Italian bought me a drink - King James the 6th of Scotland, the 1st of England. What a nite - well done and thank you

It's a good Wetherspoon's, service and products are up and down, but seems to be improving.

Our American breakfast arrived with no bacon, told the waitress who disappeared. Our Luke warm food was getting cold, went to the bar staff to report missing bacon. Eventually bacon arrived stone cold!! Told the staff bacon was stone cold, the response was"that's how it's served! Very poor service which is ashame as it's a nice place.

Fantastic burger, well stacked and fresh chips along with a pint of stella great staff walked straight in and got served straight away

Went in today (22nd of December). Friday afternoon, extremely busy and my husband and I struggled to find a table. We bagged a table and put our order in, expecting a long wait. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and the food within 20. The food was piping hot and really good value! The staff were running around, clearing tables and bringing food and drinks - they were all working so tremendously hard. Josh was really attentive and kind. He was clearly very busy, but still took time to give some advice and check we were all sorted. What a lovely chap!! I hope someone sees this and gives all of the staff a big pat on the back!

Stopped off for a quick meal and you cannot complain. Good value for money and decent food and beer.

Most tables cluttered and left uncleaned. Think they need to employ someone to clear the tables and keep the place tidy because at the moment its a mess.

My cutlery was dirty, as it has a burger attached to the end. My burger was dismembered by such cutlery. It tasted nice at first, but the first bite at the stainless steel said otherwise. I will NOT be returning.

Nice Wetherspoon pub located in Sandbach town centre. Pleasant friendly staff, prompt service when ordering food. Decent sized portions, well presented. Clean and tidy.

Bar staff didn't acknowledge us at the bar it wasn't busy when served not one smile from him never had a few things on menu so had to change order the tables were full of empty glasses and dirty dishes no effort to clear we had to wipe our own table when food arrived chips were cold and halumi was cold we complained the nice man said he would get us some hot chips by the time they were replaced we had finished our other bit of meal spoke to the supervisor didn't seem interested so it was our first and last time we will be going thanks for reading

Convenient Wetherspoons to stop off for a meal on our way home. As a Friday opted for the Fish & Chips plus a pint. Pub not as busy as expected, food was served quite quickly and was to the usual standard of being hot and tasty. Much better value than in Ilfracombe's Admiral Collingwood where same meals were nearly £6.50 dearer.

Spoons in Sandbach Very nice place to visit

Went here today for a breakfast and was served by a nice lad however alot of the other staffs attitude is genuinely unacceptable. I work in customer service and know how stressful it can be but the way some staff were acting was #crossingtheline

A cut above as Weatherspoons pubs go.. the full English breakfast was very good for the price.

Cheap food that's if they have what you order. We ordered four meals and it turns out they didn't have two of them. Staff were nice. Service was slow unless you order in the app the. Food comes out quickly!, Loud atmosphere

Waited an hour for over cooked cold food. Never again. Felt sorry for the poor lad bringing the food out, they were short staffed and everyone was moaning at him. This weatherspoons used to be good, not anymore 🙁

Once again only one person behind the bar serving customers when their were 8 people waiting, the staff are slow and show no sign of urgency to do there job. There was one time the woman manager dropped a basket full of glasses thought it was extremely funny, walked off and let another member of staff to clean it up. Will never go in again until something changes with the service, staff are childish and clueless in most cases.

Friendly bar staff but Food was really poor quality made worse by kitchen staff that are incapable of cooking eggs correctly, I know this is Spoons but at least employ kitchen staff that can actually cook.

Unfortunately my burger had funny taste and not enough chips. No accompaniments on plate at all. All 3 of us disappointed in our meals.

The food was very big standard but the prices have gone up. Beer was very good though which at least was something. I had chicken and chips with 2 small lettuce leaves and some onion. No sauce but the chicken was succulent

This is a Wetherspoons. It gives a consistent product. Food is always as expected, service fast and pleasant. Never had a bad steak! Back again with friends!

One of the better Spoons - great choice of cask ales - was torn between the Pacific and the Citra. Gents toilets well worth a visit - very tastefully restored.

The atmosphere is always pleasant but you always seem to need to clear a table to eat and the menu is everything you could expect from spoons. It's cheapish but the quality is hit and miss. The staff are always friendly, but there never seems quite enough of them at busy points.

Bad experience here yesterday. Ordered 2 meals both were very poor. The steak meal was poor quality + mixed grill lamb + gammon unedible. We have eaten at this pub many times but find the food has really gone down hill. Nothing to do with the staff.

Last time I will go here again, the tables were not cleared and cleaned very well. The food wasn't great and my partners soup was served in a dirty bowl

This a really good weatherspoons because it was a proper old pub and not a converted shop or old cinema we have eaten and drunk here many times

A nice enough venue, but on the evening we visited for dinner, literally 1/4 of the menu wasn't available. It seemed to attract the loudest people in England, too, and bordering on obnoxious. A shame really and it could have been a far better experience.

Very disappointing once again. Food was delivered and the chips and peas were cold. The fish wasn't too bad but the scampi was just a reformed sort of something that is difficult to put into words. You don't expect gormay standard food for the price but you do expect it to be edible. This is the last time that I eat at this place, I'm done !!

Terrible. The food, cleanliness and general decor of the pub has been regressing for some time. The pub is dirty, food all over the floor, tables not cleared or cleaned, slow service, cold food, items continually missing from the menu. As a regular customer I can state the above with some experience. Even in a cheap and cheerful establishments it is not too much to expect a modicum of quality.

Can get busy in the weekend as you can imagine.

Food was good and arrived quickly. Unlimited coffees are good too.

Today was shocking... under staffed & the staff that were on shift were obviously under abit of pressure i felt sorry for them even the girl behind the bar was lookimg miserable and getting rather touchy when I asked about the kids menu as none were left so had to look up on line, fair enough. Waitress we had was lovely and friendly as she had to deal with a few issues when food came out incorrectly which was easily amended and she kindly apologised. Probably wouldn't go back for a meal again.

Great place! Very friendly staff! Update 3 years after the first visit: Amazing staff, love them all very much! Food perfect as usual, you can't go wrong with wetherspoon menu, worth every penny. My favourite ws in area due to friendly staff and good food.

Cold plates, nearly cold food. App prices were not the same as the special offers.

Lovely Spoons pub in middle of town. Real ales usually on form and grub OK too.
