1 star purely based on facilities management. Tables are always left uncleared (personally I think it’s a customers responsibility, but there is nowhere for customers to put there dirty plates and cups). The disabled toilet and baby changing has been out of order for 6 months +. Having just had a refurbishment, it’s still shut causing long queues for the toilet. Everything else is as expected with Costa; decent drinks and food, staff over ran and unorganised

Kath and the staff are brilliant, being disabled they looked after me wonderfully and brought my tray to the table for me when it was ready. The refurbished store is great, clean ,bright and the new tables and chairs and fantastic. Thanks again Stuart

Long queues, short of staff. Dirty knives. Tables not cleared. Cold air conditioning, with offers on Iced drinks. Noisy. The design of this Costa is still poor 2 years on. I left to have lunch at M&S. I normally like Costa, but this is still the worst Costa in the area. I won’t use until it has been fixed.

No Issues with service or product but overall cleanliness was not good.

I do love Costa coffee but recent experience was ridiculous, there was no queues and standing by the till waiting and 4 workers didn’t even bother to say hi they didn’t even look at us whilst being on their phones and don’t let me mention dirty tables soo disappointed

The was a lovely lady who served our food and drinks and did a lovely job however there was another lady who was ginger, she was vile and treated her staff disgustingly, made the atmosphere hostile, wrong job for this woman.

Rudest “manager” I’ve ever witnessed. Girls behind the counter worked really hard and in a timely manner and the woman who seemed to be running the shop was rude, condescending and plain mean to her staff. I visit this Costa maybe once a month and when I see this woman it ruins the whole experience almost immediately. Girls, make a complaint to whoever is above this woman you don’t have to stand for it 🤣

Just visited your shop, never again, the manager was so rude to customers and how she treated her staff was appalling, if I had had the nerve, I would have poured my drink over her head!!!!!

Very nice staff and experience although WiFi was not working (was able to connect to Boots WiFi next door).

We arrived to be told we had not a lot of time left which I can understand as I work in hospitality myself and was happy to leave at closing time. The young girl behind the counter was lovely polite however the lady was so rude I was shocked as working in hospitality myself I would not be allowed to work like that. I was so shocked at her awful manners I won’t be returning.

Coffee always good.Have not been in her for a while and was surprised with the attitude of the manageress working there. She was loud, and very rude to her staff. Who on this occasion were mainly young girls. She was telling them off , very loudly and embarrassing them in front of customers. There was absolutely no need for her attitude and behaviour. In fact she was not nice at all. When I had a word with her, she started banging the equipment she using about. Very professional I don't think. I used to love going in there. But I will be using another one in Crewe from now on. She definitely needs to be spoken to by top management. The friends I were with will be giving it a miss from now on too.

Absolutely awful. The lady running behind the counter was extremely rude to both staff and customers. I requested a black forest hot chocolate as displayed on the board and was rudely told that they don't have the seasonal specials in they're gone they're gone. I then ordered small hot chocolate with no cream but was charged for cream anyway. I questioned the price and was told I had to pay 50p for cream. I said I hadn't ordered cream on it and she shouted at the girl who took my order so i told her to just give me what I'd paid for. She was complaining loudly to the younger two colleagues about the shift working the previous night and how dreadful they were was abrupt with all the costumers whilst throwing crockery about. I popped in for a treat but I wish I'd made a drink at home. It would've been more enjoyable.

Went in today and staff member Kath was quite frankly horrible to the fellow staff berating them for their performance to the point she even mentioned one member of staffs family and how they'd be disappointed in her. Fair play to the other staff for doing their job as if I'd have been talked to like that I'd have just walked out. Wasn't a relaxing atmosphere at all and was glad to leave.

Terrible service… all the time when I’m going to have a coffee I’m waiting half an hour for my coffee to be ready… new staff they don’t have a clue what they doing,they just wonder in around like a mopeds and the coffee that they doing it’s horrible 🫣i make better coffee my self… I’ve had some free cake on a costa app for my birthday and some offers, the other week I want it to use them and the girl that she was serving me she said that she doesn’t know how it works.

What a grotty hell hole of a place. Seats ripped and foam hanging out, floor disgusting and tables filthy. This was at 10:20 in the morning so no excuses.

I have to say this Costa has really gone down hill. The chairs are extremely dirty and the tables are not much better. I have no issue with the staff they’re always friendly in my experience but it may be time for a refurb before the health inspector calls. Not great and it is said as this would be my local Costa if it had been cared for.

Service was great drinks and food was as expected. The place was clean and tidy , you could see the staff were keeping on top of it, but the seats could do with a refresh.

Dark, dirty, you are greeted with a ripped sofa not a long queue about 8 people but still took over 20 mins to get served and when we got the order it was wrong! Toilets were dirty tap continues to run even when switched off. I won't be going back and it looks like most don't visit either.

The woman Katherine who I think is the manager or at least thinks she is was vile to the three young girls working with her. Embarrassing them in front of customers saying you've already made one mistake today and just generally speaking to them like dirt. It was awful to hear.

The worst of the worst. The vegan cake was nice but the coffee shop was filthy and service terrible. Only one member of staff working which seemed like an impossibly inefficient system. The only saving grace was that it wasn't busy.

Visited Costa this week and overall had a good visit. I tried the new Hazel Maple hot chocolate which was delicious but it was served lukewarm and definitely could have been hotter. There was a slight delay as the batista made a latte instead of a hot chocolate but she noticed before she handed it over. We sat on a very tatty sofa and the place could do with a bit of a freshen up but otherwise a good visit. The toilet facilities were very clean.

Great coffee but very slow service.

The drink was lovely but this wasn’t a relaxing visit at all. The manager speaks in such a loud voice that I couldn’t think of anything else. You cannot read or have a conversation in here due to the noise. What makes matters worse is that the content of her exclamations is about customers once they have left and staff who she needs to reprimand and why. I think someone needs to speak to her about professionalism moving forward.

The Costa was as Costa is.. great coffee at a price but beware here the parking on the car park is draconian and God forbid if u infringe the rules and park over the lines..

Friendly staff, free parking and good coffee!

It's like every Costa Coffee around the country as soon as you walk in its buzzing people enjoying their food and drinks they look cosy with 3 or 4 people sitting & chatting some with their dog at their feet. Always clean with staff that are pleasent helpful & friendly.

Welcome break whilst waiting for car to be repaired

Do not recommend the service....being disabled I always struggle...but never have I been told!!to speak more clearly..by a very rude manager..shouting out loud ...ending g up having g a black out....speak clearly nxt time she shouts to me 😢 .I can't help being disabled, having a nuero illness ...the customers all felt sorry for me ...one lady had a take away coffee ,,shouts on way out ..I survived her.arrr going out fast ..this will not do its unacceptable...think more ..people especially disabled people being told I front of customers doing my best.....

Went to Costa on the 21/05/2023 at around 3:30pm and was served by the most unprofessional staff member I have come across. I am not too sure of the name but she had dark hair working on the till and was being very disrespectful about her colleague who was working very hard making everyone's drinks. This staff member was talking about how drunk she is and how many drinks she's had the night before and how her old workplace was much better than this. There were others in the queue waiting for their drinks making faces and in shock of this staff members unprofessional behaviour. Sadly I will not be returning to this Costa.

Can't go wrong with Costa coffee, you know what your getting. Outdoor seating when weather is fine.

Went in my daughter for a coffee There was a massive queue but decided to wait All you could here was a manager “Claire” balling her head off at the other staff totally degrading them telling the customers ignore her she’s new and not very good The service was awful which was not helped by the manager who just treated the younger staff like idiots and was rude to them in-front of everyone The place was dirty tables and chairs filthy maybe the manager should concentrate Abit more on hygiene rather than putting the staff down I like visiting Costa and often go to other shops but would never return here

Nipped in today for some Coffee and a Toastie with my partner and sister. Was clean and pleasant. Chicken and bacon Toastie was great value and special thanks to Jack behind the till who was super pleasant and amenable!

Bad customer service and they don't even listen properly to your drink order, if I say I don't want something in my drink they will do the opposite. Few times I come here and hot drinks taste like warm milk, very disappointing.tables need to be cleaned too its either dirty or have plates and cups.

I don’t often come into this Costa as I really do not enjoy the way the manager shout’s constantly at her staff and customers. There is a severe lack of professionalism and you can see her staff are fed up of her. She attempts to do everything herself and as a result the place is completely disorganised and orders take a minimum of 15 minutes to get! She often complains about what is going on extremely loudly so that everyone can here. Embarrassing her staff in front of customers - it boarders on bullying! (Grace you were doing a fabulous job! Please don’t let it get to you!) This has been the case for a long time and Costa seriously need to look at how their shops are being run as this is a highly unpleasant place to come and visit!!!!!!

Bullying manager today very loudly and unkindly reprimanding a member of staff infront of all the customers, extremely unprofessional, either go to another room or do it when customers have left. Not what we wish to hear. Called at this Costa walked in their were dirty dishes on most tables ,when were then given hot chocolate in the wrong cups should have been the tall glass ones no cream ect when we questioned this we were told there were no glass cups left ,I'm not surprised they were all unwashed on tables, We emailed Costa they didn't even have the decency to reply won't be using this company again terrible Mr I s whittaker

Dreadful. You have to wait ages like 30 mins. The manager hasn’t a clue , and shouts at customers , horrendous , they are so slow !!! Avoid.

Really poor experience this morning- drinks were fine, customer service was horrendous, really poor from both team members, I love costas and visit several Costa stores a week. I’ll avoid this store now… definitely a training or personnel issue!!!

The man serving put his fingers in our cups to hold 3 which is a food hygiene no no, he may have just been to the loo and not washed his hands? 🤢 Then didn't stir it so the maple syrup was at the bottom, it tasted like a normal coffee till it got to the last mouthful which was like drinking syrup I don't recommend this place.

Standard Costa chain so you’ll know what to expect food and drink wise. As a review of this store in particular, I always find the staff friendly, tables to be clean and normally not too busy on weekdays. Plenty of free parking as it’s part of a retail park with other shops.

Excellent beverages to be had at Costa. The seasonal drinks are now available with gingerbread latte and blackflorrest hot chocolate. Plenty of spaced seating and not too busy when we visited!

Always helpful friendly staff. But it's a bit small especially at the moment with half the seats closed and the narrow entrance means you can't distance, but can't be helped right now. Always nice drinks and food.

Coffee great, staff great. This was the disadvantage customers toilet appalling, smell, urine strewn, toilet paper all over the floor. Very poor hygiene. I am Male so we can stand above the contaminate but poor ladies have little or no choice. How a disadvantage customer could go to the toilet I cannot imagine. Costa please consider that an establishment is often judged by how clean and contaminate free thier toilets are. You have scored 1 out of ten.
