Podría patearme, no me había dado cuenta de que los Pumblechooks habían vuelto. . . . Hurra. Es bueno ver que este negocio sobrevivió. La comida y el personal son excelentes. Debe apoyar esta pequeña joya local.

Always a pleasure to return to this friendly coffee shop opposite my office which features a superb range of food prepared fresh every day in their own group kitchen and bakery. Without doubt Peyton & Byrne offer the very best service and products of any coffee shop chain in London. Today for my late breakfast I had a delicious cup of Cappuccino (£4.00) and a wonderful Three Cheese and Tomato toastie (£7.80) which just oozed warm melting cheese between hot sourdough slices. Just the best start to the day for me. Much recommended.

We went in to Popina’s for a late breakfast. Having looked around for a nice place for a while, we were ready to have a sit down and were pretty hungry. The staff did not have much about them and sat us at a table without explaining to order online. When we asked, the waitress just pointed at the table. It was not a very straightforward order system but got there in the end. 2 avocado toast with scrambled egg and 1 flat white. Having looked at the menu on the wall, the avocado toast was £11.99 and then a side order of eggs we thought was £3 (this was per egg) the total bill came to £51.90. We had to get salt and pepper from another table and had to get up to ask for water, there was just no eye contact or friendliness. My husband placed the order and after seeing the price, didn’t tell me as I would’ve told him to leave it. I questioned the bill afterwards as there was £5 unaccounted for but this was a service charge which we had to pay. Well I would say avoid this place. Even tho the food was lovely, the experience and the price left me with a bad taste.

It felt like the people that made my breakfast really really cared about how I was going to enjoy it and I haven’t had that feeling for a very long time

I had a good experience. Surprised by some of the reviews. I walked in on a Saturday evening. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive. Not too busy. Clean and basic. I ordered the battered cod & chips. I couldn't fault it. Freshly prepared. Huge portion. Comforting and delicious. The dish comprises a crispy battered cod, chips & your choice of peas or Heinz® Baked Beans. I went with the baked beans. So good. Simple and basic.

Not sure what is happening to this pub, think it maybe closing. On 3 consecutive weeks, I have taken my elderly parents for lunch, or tried, each time, a notice on door, "kitchen closed", the reason we have tried is that we have had splendid lunches before.Last Saturday, arranged to meet friends for a social drink, but the pub was completely closed. A wasted journey and very disappointed.Such a shame as this was a lovely local pub.

Stopped by for a quick latte late morning. Nice welcoming atmosphere. Lots of other people were there like me typing away at their laptops. Overall good ambience and experience. It makes a nice change to finchley to not always have the same chain coffee shops.

From the street this small restaurant is uninviting but it is a hidden gem. We chose the prix fixe menu, with a choice of 3 dishes in each category. Portions naturally are small, beautifully presented. We enjoyed squid, black ravioli, a delicious concoction of artichoke and cucumber, monkfish, and dessert. A memorable evening.

Cannot believe how badly they have messed this pub up for pre football drinks. Gone from what it was (if you know you know) to about the quietest pub in a mile radius of the stadium, half empty, with everyone inside a tourist making nice neat lines to the bar
