Whilst I was apprehensive of the recommendation by the cleaner at the Premier Inn, I ended up giving her a tip as I LOVED IT!!!!!

I am a loyal pret costumer who’s had a subscription for a while now. It is not the first time I’ve had issues in this particular shop. I went to get a tea with a friend today - she got a hot chocolate, I got a peppermint tea. The store was very full and we were as close as we could be to the till. As soon as I heard them say peppermint tea I went to get my tea, but another girl got it before I could get to it. I waited for 3 more minutes and asked about my tea, to which I got the response: “I’ve already sent out a peppermint tea and I’m not making you another one”, I explained that someone else took the tea and she said “that’s not my problem”. My friend and I insisted on getting the tea I paid for and they refused time and time again. We were speaking calmly and they were being very rude - I get it’s stressful working in a coffee shop but at the same time I don’t think it’s fair that I paid for a tea and didn’t get it. We asked to speak to the manager - the manager came, said we were being rude to her team, and that she has no problem banning us from the shop, and if I didn’t get my tea that’s my issue, I should have ran and got it before the other girl. I was trying to explain the situation to her, and tell her that I had no way of knowing that that was my tea and not the other girls tea, and I couldn’t have just stopped the other girl from getting it, but she simply wasn’t letting me speak. She then said she would make me the tea if I left and didn’t return to that store again. She then added that she’s banned 4 people from the store only today for the same issue. Again, I understand it’s stressful working in a coffee shop - been there myself. But I don’t think it’s fair to punish paying costumers for people who are stealing drinks that aren’t theirs. I had proof I paid for the tea and didn’t get it and they weren’t interested in hearing what I had to say.

It was a terrible experience. Firstly, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We had ordered some paninis and some came frozen! It was awful. I am never going back here again

Stopped here on a whim and enjoyed fresh pastries, fresh squeezed juice, fruit, delicious coffees and tasty egg/salmon and egg cheese pastries. Very friendly service too.

Visited on Saturday for the second time .The restaurant looks spectacular and classy from the outside but the classiness soon disappears when you enter. The lady host had a bad attitude and didn’t look at us and just threw the menus on the table expecting us to follow and sit down. We would have left there and then if my wife hadn’t have been tired and wanted to eat. None of the staff seemed particularly happy and I would have expected more from a place charging £15 for a glass of wine and expensive food. Our first visit wasn’t much better but we tried again but won’t be visiting again. John Fairfield

Poor food quality with outrageous prices. They used to serve authentic Turkish bakery at reasonable prices. Its's no longer the case.

The most amazing sausage rolls and brownies. The management and staff are delight to speak with :) Very nice to be receiving biscuits during my shift working next door to them :) Defo be back for more of those sausage rolls :) Regards, Indigo Hotel Rosie

The cafe location and food options are nice. There’s also a very good range of children’s and vegetarian options. The issue is the staff. The staff were making customers placing orders and politely asking them to clear tables totally piled up with used crockery etc. feel as thought they were being demanding and asking too much. It ruined the experience for us and makes me reluctant to return. To be honest, it was that busy and yet the two members of staff complained that they they were understaffed so costumers should wait to be served. There were only two of us needing serving and the orders were small so I don’t know what the issues was but the attitude of the staff was poor. Half of my order was also forgotten with no apology and I was given someone else’s receipt. I also saw one member of staff approaching some young people who had just arrived and telling them that the tables were for paying customers only which seemed aggressive when they had just arrived. The customers looked confused/awkward and then went and made a large order. The cutlery was also filthy and staff must have been able to see this clearly when they brought it back from the dishwasher as if I could see the food caked on it then they must have seen it. It was left out for customers to use. Waterstones really needs to sort out this cafe.

Great coffee and lovely staff. However, since becoming dog friendly the relaxation element I associate with going for coffee has declined rapidly. I now have to contend with dogs whining, barking and growling and on a regular basis. Can owners at least be made aware of a duty to keep dogs under control? Perhaps a notice can be displayed somewhere?
