Most enjoyable I am not a cake person, So having a glass of wine was super

It’s sad to admit the food quality has gone down dramatically, but the prices have increased.

The atmosphere is lovely in here and very pretty. However the food is really bland and they seem really understaffed. I was served a very bland lamb shank. The gravy had no flavour and the vegetables were undercooked. They don’t list on the tuna ciabatta that there’s olives either. Service was rather slow and hectic. I think they’ve spent too much time glamourising the place and not focused on the quality of the food.

The cappuccino and americano were excellent As for the honey cake, it has a strange taste and I did not like it (There is a bathroom on the second floor)

The salted caramel tart was ok, the black forest was extremely sweet. The service was horrible and the waiter seemed mocking because we didn't understand his English

The staff was slow and dull in service. The place wasn’t even busy but it took them 20mins to get the order. And to top it off, we were never asked water. Although the food, location and ambience was good. Good vegeterian options for afternoon tea. Mushrom rissotto was the star of the day. A little bit of courtsey and politeness will help in the long run.

Had a cheese omelette - it was much nicer than on previous occasions (it had more cheese in it). My omelette was accompanied by salad - no lemon and no attempt to season or garnish. Two slices of lightly toasted bread. No butter. Pricier than last time. This chain is strategically positioned in prime central London locations.

We visited this café in London and were really looking forward to a nice meal. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. We had to wait an unusually long time for our food to arrive, even though the café wasn’t too busy. What made it worse was seeing several tables that were seated after us get their orders well before we did. It felt like we were being overlooked, which was really frustrating. Despite the cozy atmosphere, the slow service really put a damper on our visit.

We stopped here for a coffee and a small glass of prosecco. When the waiter took our order he asked us if we would like a glass of water as well which we said we would. When we asked for the bill we were charged £2.00 for 4 slices of lemon. We queried the bill as we were not happy being charged for lemon. After spending a weekend here in London we have visited many restaurants and bars and never charged for lemon. The waiter was not helpful and said that's what they charge so very disappointed in this service

1 average cup of tea, one small latte and one piece of cake came to £21. They then asked a £3 service charge. When I asked for this to be removed, the waiter became a bit hostile. If the service had more engaging and friendly, the atmosphere more welcoming then I might have reconsidered. But this place is an absolute rip off.

Lovely meal but seems to be understaffed and the staff seemed to be under a lot of pressure. It took a long time and several requests to get food and drinks.

Caffè Concerto offers a mixed dining experience with some definite highlights. The pizza is absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection with a great balance of flavors. Pair that with one of their nice cocktails, and you’re in for a treat. The Caprese salad was decent, though not particularly memorable. However, the dessert selection truly stands out. The pistachio milk cake (I can't recall the exact name) was out of this world—rich, moist, and bursting with flavor. It’s easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. That said, the service left something to be desired. With only a few waiters on the floor, we had to wait a bit longer than expected to be served and to get the bill. While the food was worth the wait, a quicker and more attentive service would have made the experience even better. Overall, if you’re in the mood for good food and outstanding desserts, Caffè Concerto is worth a visit—just be prepared for a bit of a wait.

We had a mocktail and a cocktail. They tasted good (although not that much alcohol in the cocktail). But they were WAY too expensive. You are paying premium and get medium or small sized glasses with one third ice. Service wasn’t quick either.

We had breakfast here once. Total disappointment with this store. The breakfast menus we ordered had nothing to do with the pictures and descriptions. Rather everything was clapped together carelessly and served. Not great in terms of taste. We ordered the shared breakfast once, where we were served mini croissants. Our neighboring table subsequently received the same breakfast with large pastries. What's that supposed to mean? Was it just because we were tourists? We do not know it. The drinks (tea and latte) tasted good, but in no way compensate for the bad experience. It's a total shame because the presentation looked very good. Another case of seeming but not being.

Prices a bit stiff for the cakes portion

While we were seated right away it took 15 minutes for a waiter to come over and take our order, another 15 minutes to get our drinks and another 45 mins to get our food. My daughter ordered the spaghetti with pesto sauce, my sister ordered the pesto chicken ciabatta sandwich and I ordered the grilled salmon steak with broccoli and baby potatoes.Broccoli was cold, Salmon was overcooked and tasted like it was rubbed in charcoal. Pesto sauce was watered down. Sandwich was just ok. They offered free desert and removed the service charge. Nothing they could have done would have made it right. I was there to eat lunch and ended up with a hunger headache. The kitchen NEEDS to improve on timeliness and quality

Terrible service and so slow! Staff lack manners! When informed the manager smiled and said we were not the first to tell him so. Seating was cramped too. Very disappointing! Spend your money elsewhere!

Good food, and ambience but the staff was really rude

The manager in charge is greedy enough by telling customers their system cannot refund to cards, but instead he refunds in cash with short of 2 pounds. He knows he added service fee of 12.5% to entire bill on card payment, but he is greedy enough not refund those money to customers. I don’t care I lost 2 pounds. But this poor manager behaviour makes whole dining experience become the worst.

Incredibly rude staff, the doors were open and we walked in and waited to be seated at 7:45am to be ignored by the waitress. Another colleague, a cleaner called for her to deal with us. Then she shouted across the cafe “CLOSED” waved her arms and turned around. We had to ask when they were open and they said 8am. What’s worse is that we passed it the afternoon before and asked what time they open at! Don’t advertise or tell customers you’re open at 7:30am if you’re not, plain and simple. If staff are upset to work don’t take it out on customers? Decided to eat somewhere else, as we couldn’t stand the energy of this waitress. Won’t be returning ever.

We came here for a pre-hen party Afternoon Tea on Saturday. The food overall was nice, especially the cakes and there was a good variation in the selection. The sandwiches were ok, albeit the bread a tiny bit dry. Unfortunately, the service was pretty average. It was slow and while our main waiter was friendly enough, i cannot really say it for the rest of the crew. What really unsettled me, however, was at the end, the friendly waiter presented the bill with the 12.5% service charge and then proceeded to ask if we wanted to leave "something extra for him". This is incredibly poor to see, especially when you are paying a 12.5% service charge. It's indicative that either the business is not redistributing the service charge fairly to its employees or that they are being incredibly cheeky and taking advantage of people's generosity. Either or, this left a slightly sour taste after a very sweet Afternoon Tea. I doubt I would go back after this.

When to this place on a whim with a friend - best decision ever! We were enticed by the stunning decor; inviting and warm. The place was busy but did not feel too crowded. The natural daylight filling the place and slow music in the background created a great ambience. I got their Honey Lattee with Oatmilk. It tasted heavenly. I paired it with their tirumisu, which was perhaps the most delicate thing I've ever tasted! The cream was so light, and coffee was not overpowering. I had my friend try who agreed it was the best tirumisu she has ever had! Service was quick and efficient. Our orders arrived in good time, and we didn't have waiters asking us every minute if 'everything is OK?' (which is common in finer dining places). Thanks for the experience - you will see us again, and so will your tirumisu's :-)

Staff were rude. Person that greeted us left us in the middle of the room waiting for a seat whilst he chatted to his colleagues (not a busy day and only 2 tables were taken inside). Eventually another staff member came over and seated us straight away, although all were offhand. The cakes were stale and the tea was Tetley, cheap and overpriced. Toilets were filthy, bins overflowing including ladies sanitary bin. Black bins left at the bottom of the stairs. Such a shame this has taken over a prime spot in Covent Garden. Honestly avoid at all costs.

I purchased my cake to be collected from this Caffe Concerto. I picked it up early on Sat morning and the staff were readily available to help and speedy in their service. The cake, needless to say, was perfect. I purchased the Chocolate Cigarrette Selva cake for 8-10 people and it was the perfect size for my dinner party. I ordered and paid for it online (cost was £52.95). I’d come here for afternoon tea or just tea to experience the ambience and full service.

Prebooked afternoon tea for 3. 1 person gluten free. Booked several days in advance, phoned to check emailed to confirm. When we arrived NO GLUTEN FREE!!!! We were given sandwiches and a piece of carrot cake for £35!!!! They weren’t apologetic. They should have been embarrassed but they didn’t care. Service shocking. Tea with no cups!!!! Awful, do not waste your money.

The food is nice, although the bread for the bruschetta (pictured) was not toasted which is a shame. The food is very expensive for what you get and the waiters hang about you which isn’t very relaxing. We really didn’t appreciate the waiter secretly adding an extra £3 onto the card machine on top of the service charge! He removed it when we pointed it out, but it’s very sneaky and dishonest.

Very slow service, we had to ask the waiters a few times regarding where our drinks were. When they arrived they rudely leaned over me and expected me to take it from their hands - including a boiling hot teapot! When paying separately, we did not add a tip on the card machine and the waiter who clearly watched us made a comment about why we were not tipping. I couldn’t believe the audacity of him to comment for us not tipping! Not that we should have to. And although we did not tip on the card machine, the amount we each paid already included service charge!

Ate very well and the service was very accommodating. I'll definitely come back.

Terrible experience on 06/07/2024; simply ordered three pots of tea. Waited 15 minutes for the tea pot. Then only one cup. Another 15 minutes for two more cups. Then, we had to chase and ask more than four times for milk. The tea was cold, so they supplied another pot. Service was terrible!

oh so disappointed. The service was terrible. the staff were obviously not properly trained. Didn't speak very good English so struggled with our order. My tea which was expensive was just a basic Tetley tea bag. I had to ask for milk. My friend's cappuccino coffee was given without any offering of chocolate. The cutlery was dirty for our cakes which felt as if they had been out for a long time. so definitely wouldn't go back. when i refused to pay a 12.5 % tip there was no question so I assume they realised that they weren't the best. Don't waste your money. A cup of tea and a small coffee and 2 pieces of cake without a tip was nearly £30.

Slow and poor service, had to ask for drinks as taking very long. Had hair in one of the cakes, a worker took the cake but didn’t apologise or offer another one. Would never return. Rude and disrespectful staff.

I got British afternoon tea for 2 with a friend and we loved. Great place to try this cultural experience.

Service very unfriendly and slow Food and drinks totally overpriced, a simple cup of water with a tea bag over 4 euros. The lemon cheese cake was quite good, but for over 10 euros it was beyond good and bad, plus the plates were chipped.

Our experience of this not so busy Cafe just yesterday, 1st July 2024, was shocking. We gave it 25 minutes for coffee, water, and drinks that didn't come. The cake did come after 10 minutes... all a bit pointless with nothing to wash it down with. The staff, including management, appeared clueless.

Cafe and eclair were very good. Great place for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It was a busy period on a Saturday and our initial request for a table illicited no response, the waiter didn't even look up, but then he went to a table and beckoned us over. It took 5-10 minutes to take our order. We both had coffees and Chicken Caesar salad. The drinks arrived after a while, no milk with my Americano despite having asked for some. Asked again, it never arrived. A least 15 or so minutes after that the meal arrived, with no cutlery, couple on the next table passed theirs across as they were not eating. The salad was disappointing, no anchovies nor parmesan and the chicken breast was in thin, tough strips with what looked like commercialy supplied, baked not fried in olive oil, small croutons. We overheard a couple of ladies adjacent to us discussing how they had been waiting for 20 minutes for their order. I noticed when they left they hadn't eaten half of their food. The bill then included 12.5% (I think, certainly over 10%) service which in retrospect I should have rejected.

Afternoon tea here is delicious cake.

After waiting almost an hour and a half for our food, my sandwich came WITH A BITE TAKEN OUT OF IT. There was no compensation and overall I feel taken advantage of.

I generally don't chime with this chain however this branch was excellent. Good service snd tables eith enough space between each. It worked!

I rarely go to the same place twice when traveling. However, we went here after the theater for hot chocolate. It was wonderful. Please see the photo, heaped with whipped cream and filled with rich chocolate. The tea here is generous, sweet, and really cake for dinner is not something that happens often enough. They are very welcoming. They welcomed children, and sat most of the families on one side of the restaurant. The families were having fun, the small groups of women having tea were obviously enjoying. Sheer joy, embrace the sugar.

Lovely atmosphere and given a gorgeous spot with a great view

We went in for a Tiramisu and coffee. The Tiramisu was absolutely fantastic, but the coffee was a bit lukewarm and it was just average in taste. The atmosphere of the place and the service made up for it though so overall I would recommend this place.

Lovely Decor and seating, in the centre of Covent Garden. A little pricey, but the cakes and desserts are lovely, with good portion sizes. Outside seating is lovely, especially on a sunny day.
