I had a very disappointing experience at Café Concerto. The coffee was served cold, and when reheated, it tasted even worse. The crepe smelled of stale oil, and the berry tart was hard with melted cream. Paying £75 for such poor quality was extremely disappointing and far below the standards I expected from your establishment.

We preferred tiramisu and french toast. Tiramisu was extremely delicious and light. The fact that it is served in a plastic container does not fit the concept at all. French toast was delicious and served hot. The chocolate was nice. The fruits were fresh. We bought latte and breakfast tea as drinks. Breakfast tea comes in two glasses for one person. More when it appears. Latte was delicious, we liked the coffee. The place is designed very stylishly. It has been carefully designed. However, they need to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the places throughout the restaurant. Little flies are wandering around. Possibly the live flower soil is rotten or there is a kitchen hygiene problem. Toilets were clean. I think the prices are a bit high in general in London and it has nothing to do with this place. It is possible to see similar prices in much shabbier and sloppy places. Therefore, considering the ambience and flavors, I think the prices are reasonable. There are halal options.

Underwhelming and overpriced. We had scones, pain au chocolat, french toast and lattes. The scones were not the best, the pain au chocolat was cold, probably kept in a fridge of some sort and that often ruins puff pastry's flaky nature (which was the case) and the french toast was ok. Not a single smile from any of the staff at any point. Not the best experience.

Had afternoon tea. Was busy when we first sat down. Took around 20 minutes before our order was taken. The table next to us had walked out as we had heard them ask to order and was told that the waitress would be back...however they didn't, so they left. Hadn't pre-booked but was able to order afternoon tea on the day. Didn't have to wait to long approx 15 minutes ago till the afternoon tea arrived. Had to wait a while following finishing to get someone's attention to pay the bill. Sandwiches and scones where lovely. The tiny cakes looked amazing but didn't have much taste, a little disappointing. Would not recommend however due to the service, very poor.

Worst afternoon tea I’ve ever had. The sandwiches were completely tasteless, the scones were overbaked and super tough and the sweets were average at best. I literally left 2/3 of the food on the trays. The rest of the menu could be fine, but I would not recommend going there for afternoon tea. Service was great though, so kuddos to the staff!

We were seated at a table that hadn’t been cleaned. The service was slow, surly and bordering on rude. Our chocolate eclair was stale. The coffees and cocktails were decent. Overall however, I wouldn’t recommend this establishment.

Absolutely awful service. The Ciabatta egg mayo . Was just inedible. How can you get egg mayo wrong. We waited 35 minutes for a tea and egg mayo and believe me they were not bothered. £28 quid for cheese mplete craaaap

A beautiful place to have a coffee and feel like you have money.

Went here to start our day with a hearty breakfast to prepare for a lot of walking around London. The service was really slow, it took forever for someone to come to our table to just ask our drinks like coffee and water. What is forever? Over 5min.'s, I had to wave at someone to ask for help. Oh they were not crowded/busy at all. The menu looked incredible, I had the British stable breakfast beans, mushrooms and sausage/ham and eggs. Unfortunately my entire dish was cold, it must of sat while they made my partners omelet because it was warm along with all her sides. Too bad as it would have been delicious warm. I drank my coffee then told the manager to take it off my bill, he did. I was forced to eat some street food during our walk because we were on a tight schedule for the day.

Bar staff have no hygiene standards. The bar tender was just grabbing handfuls of ice and chucking it in the glass rather than using tongues

Typical pastry cafe in central London. The staff was not very friendly or attentive. I imagine that it is a place that is usually full due to the location and decoration in which the staff only strives to seat people and make money, but without taking good care of the clients...

The service today was impeccable.. the staff made the effort for my daughters cake as it was her 19th.. everyone sang along.. the staff had such big smiles.. the food was fabulous and the cake was stunning as usual.. cocktails well made and absolutely delicious.. thanks for a great time. We passed this store several times and we were attracted by the front and the different meals and cakes offered. So we decided to go there and frankly we weren't disappointed, it's a bit expensive but we'll say that it's worth doing again at least once.

My experience with Caffe Concerto covent Garden was one of the worst experiences. There is a manager who provides poor service to the customers and kicks them out of the restaurant with no valid reasons! (He said to us i will not service your table) other table were kicked out in front of me. The manager, Timur, is racist, and the service for customers does not meet the standards of a restaurant in London. He should be held accountable for his discriminatory service towards customers!

Nice service during new year's eve but disappointed by the waiter when paying I said happy new year, he replied I don't celebrate new year, I think he was north african, clearly dismissive of various facts but nonetheless his right but he could have just replied back with a simple have a good evening or something like that.

We visited this Caffe Concerto twice. After the first visit I was determined to grant this establishment a two point rating. The cappuccino was no cappuccino, but a flat white, disguised as cappuccino, the staff was inattentive and as we paid cash, there was talk about a lack of coins for our change. But hear me out. The day we would fly back home we left it a little late to select a lunch venue before the taxi driver would call at our hotel. We found ourselves again in front of the Caffe Concerto Covent Garden. So we stepped inside for a quick lunch. The same staff, but what a difference. Polite service. They found us a nice table despite the busy lunch hour and my lunch, fish and chips, was well prepared. No discussion about change, because I paid by credit card. Made up for the bad first experience and scored an overall three point rating.

I have been to Cafe concerto in other London locations a few times before but this is the first time I’m giving a review even before getting table. We were a party of 3 adults and 4 kids hoping to have coffee for the adults and cakes for the kids on a Monday afternoon. The arrogant person at the reception made us wait only to come back and say he will give us a table but we need to make sure 7 drinks and 7 dishes had to be ordered to allow the table. The tone was rude and racist. I just stormed out and was happy I did not fall into the trap. I will never recommend this spot. A proper tourist trap in central London trying to skim as much money as possible from customers.

Had the absolute displeasure of eating at the establishment today. The food was cold, poorly presented and over priced. Some staff were abrupt. When my food was serviced a receipt was already on the side of the meal but removed and bin. I would not recommend and never return

The person giving directions at the entrance was unfriendly. The server in charge was also unfriendly. Bring me food, bring me a knife, bring me a fork, and I’ll take it. The pancakes were all cold so I only ate the fruit. I went in because it looked pretty and had the worst cafe experience in London!! After reading the recent review, I hope no one goes there happy holidays outside here!^^ I paid the bill excluding the service charge and left. Don't pay service tax

Arrived at 11:45 today, Boxing Day, Multiple tables open inside. We were a table of 2. The person managing the “wait to be seated sign” - was exceptionally rude. “no tables” inside and we were not offered an alternative to sit outside. Concerto management need to fire the door guy! Really bad attitude. Pity we were not able to try what looks like great food. Welcome to London.

Worst dessert and afternoon tea I have ever had. They use margarin instead of butter. That’s so gross and it’s so overpriced. How could the price same as a 5 star hotel afternoon tea with such bad dessert, tea and untensil they used. Everything looks very cheap.

We stopped here to have cake and coffee. As a greeting we were told that everyone in our group should order something to eat and drink… The cakes and drinks were generally not bad, but were very overpriced. But we accepted it at that point because you pay for the location. The big surprise came at the end with the bill, when a “discretionary fee” of 25% was charged. No go!

Pros: - Cons: Crepe smell egg + Flat White was bad; tasted water and milk + Chocolate Eclair wasn’t fresh; totally dried + It took ages a staff found out I ask for the bill and when I did, took years to bring it! + Mandatory 25% discretionary charge for such quality

One of the best cakes I’ve had in London. Came to get my sisters birthday cake last minute and they were so helpful. Staff were great and the cake was AMAZING!

We came to Caffè Concerto, Covent Garden for afternoon tea today and were pleased with the ambience and desserts. We received a cold welcome from staff when we shared our reservation, who were a bit rude and almost refused us entry despite having a pre-booked reservation!! 🤦🏾‍♂️ Overall though, we were highly disappointed by the hot chocolate which was very bland and the Winter Tea which had cloves and fruits that needed to be removed before drinking. The waiter shared multiple other hot drinks that we could try but unfortunately we didn’t have time. The pink mousse cake was delicious though, with a white chocolate fondant and rich sponge, buttercream and strawberry filling. We enjoyed the ambience thoroughly though, more than the food. Overall, it was an ok experience.

Returned for a 3rd time in 2 months . Worst experience, the other 2 times the experience was much better . No ice cream told by waiter go over the road as they hadn't had ice cream for a week ! Would've liked the apple pie again but didn't bother ordering any food. Floors filthy..toilets filthy. Eyes rolled by staff member when I asked for a clean teaspoon as one given had food on it! Won't be coming back..

The food and the place are absolutely amazing but the waiters were overstretched despite the fact that the top floor was not occupied and in particular the maitre who was there yesterday was so rude that virtually was not inviting people in and we nearly left but as I have been at the Caffe before I was undeterred but he was absolutely shocking.

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my fiancé and our little one, expecting a great experience based on how it looked from the outside. The desserts on display appeared delicious, and the service seemed promising at first glance. Unfortunately, everything fell apart the moment we stepped inside. Upon entering, a man asked if we were there for dinner or dessert. I said dinner, and instead of offering any assistance, he walked us to a table and left us to fend for ourselves. Despite having a baby in a trolley, no effort was made to accommodate us. The table was set with four chairs, and no one helped us make space for the trolley. We had to rearrange everything ourselves, even removing chairs to fit. The food arrived in 15 minutes, which was excellent , but it was extremely disappointing for the price. My spaghetti, costing £20, was completely flavorless, and my partner had the different dish with the same lackluster result. Throughout the meal, the waitress never checked in to see if we needed anything or if the food was okay. Hoping desserts would redeem the experience, we ordered some – but they were even worse. For £8 each, they tasted awful and were not worth the price. To top it all off, I was charged £11 for service, which was abysmal, and the total bill came to £100 for two people. Overall, this was an awful dining experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

An absolute disgrace! Waited ten minutes to get in despite being booked in advanced. No one took our drink order after 15 minutes. So had to flag someone down. Starters came after half an hour, my mussels were nearly all closed, my partners “Brushetta” was garlic bread with cheese and a bit of grated onion. I was given another bowl of mussels (5 to be exact) 🙄 Food not cleared after 45 mins. Tables all around us now complaining and after an hour I asked for the bill because no main meal had come. Gives us the bill and they tried to charge us for mains we didn’t have. After back and forward numerous times they “only” charged us £32 for poor food awful service and kept the service charge on. All the while the manager is trying to seat more people despite staff loosing the plot and not being able to cope. Meant to be our anniversary so thank you Cafe Concerto for an awful awful experience.

I have been to two branches of this brand, and in both there are the same flaws that should be taken into account by management: - The service is disorganized. They incorrectly tell them which table each order corresponds to, so sometimes they take one's order to another table. Plus, sometimes it takes time from the time the order waits at the counter to being brought to the table (I've seen it happen), so it's not surprising when a coffee arrives cold. - Because of the above, it also happens that the order is not always loaded correctly, so something different than what was requested arrives and creates an unnecessary bad moment. - Prices are not expensive for the location and quality of the food

Very expensive flavourless coffee, hot chocolate was like pure sugar and not much chocolate, cakes are mass produced and the fruit tart had little flavour apart from fake cheap cream. Lesson learnt and we won’t return

Visited for breakfast. On arrival we were “greeted” by a server who obviously didn’t want to be there stuck us on an awkward table by a cupboard despite there being numerous empty tables around . We made the decision to move to a better table but then were ignored for ages. Food was cold when it came…the toast wasn’t toasted just hot bread really by the time anyone came near us again as they seemed to avoid our gaze it was pointless complaining as it was too late . However I did mention to another server my chips were stone cold when they came but we were about to leave by then. The bill was expensive for the quality of the food we had and they added a service charge to the bill for the worst service we experienced in London. Avoid at all costs there are so many other places to eat rather than this chain

I had a delightful breakfast at Caffè Concerto! The ambiance was elegant and welcoming, with soft music and a lovely setup. I ordered the classic English breakfast, which was perfectly cooked, with fresh eggs, crispy bacon, and delicious sausage. The cappuccino coffee was very good . The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring everything was to my liking. It’s the perfect spot for starting your day on a high note, whether you're looking for a hearty meal or just a light breakfast with coffee. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!

Really beautiful, I went yesterday whit my husband it was outstanding, wonderful atmosphere, the service was spectacular, all the staff were polite and helpful, the waiter Alex was so kind whit us, even assisted us whit a hing chair for our toddler, drinks and food very tasty. I wish i could rate this place -10 I usually give second chances and thats what i have done with this place . It gorgeous from outside but trust me its deserts and food are rubbish. The liquor coffee was without liquor the plate was dirty , food un tasty and deserts were far from fresh and the velvet cake came with a disgusting touch of a hair in it. Service is bad , with long waiting times and very ignorant staff. Places like cafe concerto give london a bad reputation in hospitality. I will never again get in any of their stores .

My partner and I went for a drink today, but we were told we couldn't sit outside unless we ordered more than just drinks. It felt like they were telling us to either spend more or go away, which was very rude. We won’t be returning for food or drinks, and I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone. I would give 0 stars if there was an option.

I recently visited Caffè Concerto in Covent Garden, and I must say, the experience was absolutely delightful! From the moment we walked in, the warm and elegant atmosphere set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Our waiter, Alex from Brazil, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. His friendly demeanor, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm made us feel incredibly welcome. Alex had a fantastic knowledge of the menu and offered excellent recommendations that turned out to be spot on. Every detail, from ensuring our drinks were always topped up to checking in without being intrusive, was handled with perfection. The food and drinks were superb as well—beautifully presented and full of flavor. But what truly set this experience apart was Alex’s impeccable service. His cheerful attitude and professionalism truly elevated the entire experience. If you’re visiting Covent Garden, I can’t recommend Caffè Concerto enough, and if you’re lucky enough to have Alex as your waiter, you’re in for a treat!

We had the vegetarian afternoon tea for 2. It's ok for the experience, but we wouldn't go there again. Tarts were only sweet, otherwise rather meaningless. Sandwiches bland, rather tasteless. Scones, however, were delicious. Overall portion is more than sufficient. Staff was nice.

Three of us went in for a coffee and cake after our dinner around 8 pm on friday night. It looked like they were short staffed. The service was very slow, from ordering to receiving our drinks, to even getting our bill. We requested 3 times for our bill. Both waiters acknowledged us, but were busy clearing tables and kept forgetting. We finally got our bill after 20 mins. I would like to try a different branch next time.

Awful experience: extremely slow service, extremely low quality. The hit chocolates tatsed like sewage water. One of us asked for substitution because the mug was visibly stained by purple lipstick (you could see the whole lower lip of the previous customer). How disgusting! The manager snapped at us saying "After 500 customers it can happen" rudely and resented, showing how the management is soooo below standard (aka the manager is incompetent). NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

The carrot cake was delightful and very filling. Perfect balance between frosting and the cake. I got the basic hot chocolate and it was delightful. My waiter vitor was a gentleman and really quick at service. At the moment this place is magical with the Christmas lights.

We really enjoyed or spontaneous lunch here! Satish, our server, was very attentive and friendly - we would 100% return based on the customer service alone. As for the food? We were blown away with the freshness and quality. All in all 5/5!
