The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in London

Popped in here to grab a snack before flying off on holiday. Minimal vegetarian choice but grabbed an orange juice, a banana, chocolate brownie and a chunky free range egg sandwich. The sandwich was rather dry and difficult to swallow.

We recently celebrated our friends' joint birthday at Alchemist Canary Wharf and while the evening had its ups and downs, it was a nice experience overall because of the theatrics with the drinks which was a new experience for most of our group. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, but we felt the service lacked a personal touch. It didn't quite feel like a special occasion, despite my requests and reminders with and after booking. However, Lydia was a shining exception. She went above and beyond to decorate the birthday cake and let us have some extra time when no booking was there after us and, crucially, ensured our discount was applied. We had booked on the last day of the promotion, assuming it would be automatically applied, but it wasn't. Lydia's care and thoughtfulness saved the day, and we're incredibly grateful. Without her, this review would have been considerably less positive. We were particularly excited about the theatrical drink presentations, but unfortunately, they felt rushed, diminishing the experience. The food, however, was a mixed bag. The 'Plant Sharer' starter was a hit, especially the vegan dim sum, and the Korean Superfood Salad was delicious. For vegetarians not a lot of choice so we went with the halloumi flatbread and it was a big disappointment - was overly sweet. None of liked it. Considering the prices, it was a shock to get it. The seating arrangement wasn't ideal, despite our request for a special occasion table. The time slot also felt a bit short for a large group celebration, so I'd recommend considering this if you're planning a big gathering. Also, if you are planning to celebrate, try to avoid Fridays. In summary, while the food and atmosphere had their inconsistencies, Lydia's exceptional service truly made the evening memorable. Thank you, Lydia!

Just got a take away tea. Small cup which is fine, but half the cup filled. At £3.10 a tea and such a small cup, please at least fill the cup to 2/3rd.

The food was amazing as always, however the service was rude. Main reason why I give less than 5 stars is purely service. They ignored me when I came in, ignored me as a I said good morning and just handed me my order without a single word/smile. What surprised me was this was not a team member but a supervisor/manager. As a hospitality worker it pains me to write this review as I understand how tiring long days are on your feet and how annoying costumers could be, especially after a long busy shift, however they literally just opened the store (it was just past 9am) so I was either their first or second costumer. I have notice this is usual at Brent cross shopping centre in general, not sure if there is a reason as the service in a few different shops wasn’t friendly at all either.

Los porteros en la puerta eran muy amables, comprensivos y de buen rollo. Ninguna queja sobre ellos. Sin embargo, el personal del bar parece que la disminución del número de asistentes en todo Londres ha hecho que el personal del bar desarrolle un mayor desdén por los asistentes que solicitan agua. Siempre pienso que es una bandera roja cuando el personal del bar es grosero cuando la bebida de alguien es agua. Le había pedido a un camarero, llamado Sedat, que trabajaba en el bar de arriba, agua, a lo que él se rió e hizo un comentario petulante, diciéndome que no podía esperar junto al bar vacío. Él no me había dado tiempo ni siquiera a recoger el vaso antes de tratar de despedirme. Le devolví el vaso de agua y le dije que lo guardara. Ahora, a diferencia de Sedat, otro miembro del personal amablemente me informó que había una estación de agua donde la entrada y el bar se encuentran. Simple. Trabajo hecho. Gracias a ese tipo. Sedat es una vergüenza para Old Street Records y para los buenos miembros del personal que trabajan para que la noche sea agradable y segura para todos.

Please avoid this place! One star is actually generous. This was the WORST place we’ve ever been in London. We went for a bottomless brunch , they firstly could not find our booking. (There was a hen party before us who told us that they were made to wait an hour for their table they booked because they couldn’t find their table either). We then waited 40 minutes for our first drink (one bottle of Prosecco between 12 of us) the food was disgusting … really really salty and a few of us asked for a soft drink because of the salty taste and was told this was not included in the bottomless brunch and this would be at an extra cost. We are all very polite girls and told them in a friendly manner at the end of the brunch we were disappointed. The waiting staff sent 3 different men over all claiming to be the manager saying different things.. we was told at the end of the brunch time to leave the downstairs area but could drink upstairs because they didn’t want the private party after us to know that we were dissatisfied or overhear us talking to the manager about our dissatisfaction. Waiting staff were on their phones and not serving drinks even though the place was basically empty. There was sick all over the toilets when we arrived, which we reported but was still there when we left. Avoid at all costs , there are so many other lovely places in London to go … it was a horrendous experience and the place was very quiet for a Saturday … now we know why.

Stopped here as there were free tables to watch some performers. We asked for two glasses of wine. Sauvignon Blanc. When they came it was clear they weren’t SB but staff had all but disappeared so unable to question this. I was also asked to move my chair back which I had turned so I was side on rather than having my back to the performers. Chair with me in it was still in the same place, just turned the other way. I didn’t mind turning back, it was the way I was asked/ordered. Staff rude and unwelcoming. No wonder they had empty tables and everyone else was full.

We have been coming to the café every week for some time and always receive a friendly welcome. The coffee is excellent. There is no extra charge for coconut almond soya or oat which is nice and a good range of breakfast and brunch food including baked potatoes. Our only criticism is that the air conditioning is rather cold so you may need to keep your coat on. Also as car parking is limited to an hour and a half there is not really time for coffee and food and shopping.

Hemos estado una vez antes y pensamos en ir de nuevo, esta vez en la tarde de NYE para evitar la manía de más tarde. No estoy seguro acerca de los comentarios menos que complementarios, pero tengo que decir que este es un pub tradicional, anticuado que es algo que no se encuentra ahora. Está muy limpio, los vasos están impecables y las dos señoras detrás de la barra estaban absolutamente golpeados, sabían a quién servir a continuación, proporcionó un servicio de tan alta calidad. Iremos de nuevo en el verano. Mi única queja sería tocar mejor música, algo así como soul tradicional de los 70/80 hubiera sido perfecto para media tarde del 31 de diciembre.

Le dimos una oportunidad a este lugar para café y croissant de almendras. Había muchos asientos disponibles, que es la razón principal por la que vinimos aquí, además de los pasteles se veían bien. El croissant de almendras era muy bueno y nuestro café blanco plano era muy agradable también.

Coffee terrible. Too much milk in a macchiato and cold. Tables sticky. The place never looks or smells clean.

Un grupo de amigos y yo visitamos aquí a finales de febrero para una buena reunión. Parecíamos ser los primeros en llegar por la noche, pero pronto comenzó a estar ocupado y lleno. Como grupo pedimos un montón de platos y bebidas y todos salieron uniformemente espaciados, que era genial para la cantidad de comida que pedimos. La calidad de la comida era excelente y extremadamente delicioso y los cócteles eran muy agradables también. Lo único malo es que no sirven refrescos para los bebedores sin alcohol solo cócteles (que en realidad no es un problema) viendo como el tipo de establecimiento. Gracias por el gran servicio de comida y el ambiente. Definitivamente volveré cuando vuelva a Londres.
