The Best pub in North London Service is in a different League. Delicious food and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone to stop by .

Nice pub. Friendly staff. Just a pity about some of the truly unpleasant people they allow to drink there. I felt threatened and unsafe. It was a real shame as I am no longer confident about returning.

Lovely warm, homely atmosphere, and they were very accommodating to our requests and substitutions. The waiters could have been more attentive, but we had a great time nonetheless. They serve mostly British cuisine with the expected level of spice. All of the deserts that we tried (sticky toffee pudding, apple tart, and chocolate brownie) were a win!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Orange Tree recently and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The pub boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with decor that perfectly balances rustic charm and modern comfort. My evening was made even better by the excellent service provided by my waiter, Marsel and Luka. He was friendly, attentive, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu. Leonardo aswell was spot-on, and his professionalism made the dining experience truly enjoyable.

Had a lovely time here last weekend. Cosy atmosphere and the food was delicious. Our waitress, Tina, was very attentive and fulfilled any requests we had.

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch. The meal was excellent, Marcel , Luka and Leo made sure we were well looked after. Their attentiveness really enhanced the experience, and everything was perfectly arranged.

Great experience once again at Orange Tree. Food has always been very nice (this was prob our 10th visit there) with service being exceptional. Marcel served us and he was very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. 5 star experience.

The service was amazing, especially from Luka, Marsel and Leo, they were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Food here is also something else, I really recommend trying out the dirty burger, it was very good. If you’re looking for great service and food I would definitely try this place out.

Exceptional Service from Leo Marcus & Luka! I had the pleasure of dining at, and I must say that the experience was made truly outstanding by Leo, Marcus and Luka. From the moment we walked in, they were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly professional. Leo ensured that every detail of our meal was perfect, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. His friendly demeanor and excellent knowledge of the menu made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Luka was equally fantastic, delivering our food promptly and always checking in to make sure we were satisfied. His warm and cheerful attitude made us feel genuinely valued as guests. All three of them went above and beyond to create a wonderful atmosphere. It’s rare to find such dedicated and hardworking individuals in the hospitality industry, and they truly deserve recognition. Attended a large private gathering here and had a fantastic experience. The pub has a cosy, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for social events. Service was excellent—friendly, efficient, and attentive. The finger food was tasty and well-prepared, great for a group setting. Plus, the lovely location added to the charm. Highly recommend for a casual drink or a private event! 🍻✨

I have been here a few times over the years and always had a great experience. Food and service have always been great. Plenty of options on the menu and they change it to keep it fresh.

Nice looking place with good atmosphere but the service is completely shocking! 1. I had a table booked yet they made me wait over 15 minutes to be seated & seated people before me that walked in after me. 2. Left me for a further 20 minutes at my table & served people that was sat after me. 3. Only bright half our drinks order. 4. In ordered a stake & they refused to be me a streak knife until I had to assertively request one. 5. When booking I noted it was for a birthday & they did absolutely nothing to accommodate the occasion. 6. The waitresses were rude 7. They have a poor drinks selection. This place could be great if not for the service. I’m convinced it was racial discrimination. I was just consistently ignored!

Lovely venue and great service.

Part of the Mitchell's and Butler Premium Country pubs chain, therefore the same fare. With some dishes the portion sizes are on the small side (nouvelle cuisine style), so best have a starter and / or a desert. I prefer one of their sister pubs - The Cowper Arms in Hertford. The standard of the food has definitely gone up over recent months, as has the friendly service.

The fish and chips is legendary honestly the best meal at the orange tree ! Overall great place to dine really chic and very clean, wide menu lots of discounts offered when you sign up for emails and birthday discounts which is great. Staff welcoming and accommodating food is on point along with the service. Only downside is parking at peak times is often an issue as the car park is small and limited this needs to be thought about for future but wouldn't let this put you off you won't be disappointed if you visit.

Cozy gastropub, the location, decor and surroundings are atractions in their iwn right. High quality of food, variety of drinks. Service is just right, it does not go above and beyond. Overall, one of the best pubs I've been to. Highly recomended.

A family group of four visited for Sunday lunch during the very busy period between Christmas and the New Year. Pre-booked a table which was wise as they were turning away patrons who hadn’t booked. The place was packed but we were shown to our table straight away. Lovely country pub decor and a roaring fire soon had us feeling warm and cosy. Wait staff were outstanding for the duration of the visit checking at the table if we needed anything, varied menu was available but being Sunday we all went for a roast, food was excellent and fairly priced as were the drinks. Very impressed with this very nice country feel public house and the excellent service even during a busy period.

We occasionally come to the orange tree for a meal to either celebrate something or just another occasion. We love the orange tree as they have a great menu to choose from, always ask if we have any allergies, the food comes out hot, you don't have to wait long for a drink either. Very nice staff, always making sure if everything is okay. Would highly recommend going back sometime soon

Go to the orange tree, the manager and her team are fantastic! Table for 5 on the 23rd of December 2024 it was truly amazing! Service is always great and the pub atmosphere is always great. The staff always treat you with the most amount of respect and love. Best pub!!!!

I visit the orange tree frequently with friends and loved ones. Great food and drink. Staff are always top mark. Clean spaces throughout and dog friendly. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The pub is beautiful, the food was delicious, perfectly presented & drinks & cocktails too. I also have to give a special mention to everybody who greeted and served us - very welcoming, helpful, friendly & service very prompt. Also really responsive & helpful, e.g one of our party has a nut allergy & the waitress went above and beyond to make sure that food was OK, getting more sugar lumps in case of contamination and that really applies to everyone who served us. A massive thank you & can't praise all the staff, chef etc enough!

The ambience and the location is great and the food quality is also good. However it doesn't feel good value for money especially with proportion size to price e.g. the halloumi fries proportion can be improved upon. Especially given the current cost of living issues being faced by everyone.

There were 9 of us in the family group and we had pre-ordered our menu. Everything arrived correct and food tasted good. Our server was very attentive in ensuring we had plenty of drinks and restaurant was flexible with drinks under our special offer menu extension. We come every Christmas as an extended family group and always enjoy the evening.

Lovely little place in Whetstone. Really good food and the service is professional and friendly. Beautiful little pond at the entrance and part of the front beer garden. Lots of parking but can get very busy on weekends. Can be a bit expensive, really good for date nights.

Ambience is great and the latest decor is too. Service was efficient. However the food….oh so poor….all just dumped on the plate, very unappetising. The linguine was tasteless, 4 prawns and a lot of chopped up fresh tomato. A shame as it’s a lovely venue.

Absolutely one of my favourite country pubs. Food is always first class, stylish interior & cosy atmosphere. Staff are brilliant. Enjoyed pan-fried lamb roast with all the trimmings.

Just had a wonderful experience at the Orange Tree Totteridge. We have been served by a wonderful manageress who was West End class in the way she has served us. Everything we could have ever wanted was catered for by Talia and her merry helpers. Merry Xmas all and get yourselves down to the OTT for lovely grub and service!

We had the most fantastic festive menu at the Orange Tree Totteridge, served by one of the best waitresses we have ever experienced. So professional and on point, we never had to wait for anything. Even our extra sauces and sides. The food was delicious and fantastic. Turkey tender and cooked to perfection. Well done to Talia the supervisor at the OT. We went for a Sunday roast to this pub for the first time. We roast ordered chicken roast , kids fish and chips with few drinks and desert. Everything was delicious and so fresh. The atmosphere was nice and very cosy. However, the service was a bit slow and It wasn’t busy as we’re there around 6pm. We had to wait quite long between drinks . We wasn’t sure if they would have any roast left but they did and it was a good portion too. They had colouring paper and crayons which kept our little one busy and happy. We have recently moved to the neighbourhood and we are glad that we have this gorgeous pub nearby. Definitely will visit again.

Ambience very good, staff are welcoming & helpful, decor is pleasing. Sadly the quality of the food is disappointing. Half the the roast on the plate was tough & overcooked, the other half OK, the gravy was poured on before serving, was very salty & not up to scratch. Less selection & more attention to the quality & preparation & cooking is needed (in my opinion) although the atmosphere makes up for the deficit somewhat. Perhaps a buffet style of food might be offered for some of the diners?
