We've been coming here for over a year and the service has always been exceptional and the team always strives to ensure they cater for our food allergies. The whole team are a breath of fresh air and it's led fantastically by Stella. We always find Stella to be welcoming, friendly, warm and not forgetting, stylish. Also a massive shout out to Talia, Ella, Leo and Angelo for their excellent customer service. We love coming here so much, even though we're not local. We recommend to all friends and family and would recommend to all.

Tucked away just off Totteridge Road is the Orange Tree pub and hotel. We stopped for a Sunday roast and some drink. Staff were professional and friendly, although as it was very busy, they were stretched. It was very busy to the point of becoming claustrophobic. Booking in advance is a must, and during busiest times, there is a table slot time. Parking is a little bit of a lottery with limited spaces. Child and dog friendly. For the three of us with starters, mains, dessert, and drinks camer to around £160 total. I can see the outside getting busy when the summer arrives. I would visit again, perhaps, during a quiet time so I can get to enjoy the ambience a little more.

Normally, I would’ve gone five stars but my experience on Mothering Sunday soured my feelings for the Orange Tree. My partner and I are regulars and usually the service and food is pretty good. But that day they had a bad day. We had to wait and didn’t get the table we had booked, as the previous guests were taking their time to leave. The table we got was dirty and tucked away. The food and the service was not up to their usual standards. The bill came to over £140 and we didn’t feel good about paying it. Dissatisfied of Barnet. X

We booked a table at The Orange Tree for a family group of 5 people as part of a visit to London for a memorial service. My father in law, who we were travelling with, is 92 years old so when I booked had asked for a table 'not near the door' due to him feeling the cold and we had been seated in a lovely small alcove as far away from the door as it was possible to be. The staff were excellent and the service was superb, not fussy but attentive and there when needed. My wife and I are both vegan and both had the aubergine lasagne followed by rhubarb crumble with custard. I can honestly say it was one of the best vegan meals I've ever had, just really outstanding. Will hopefully visit again. Highly recommended

We were in the area and googled ‘Sunday roast near me’ and this placed came up. We hadn’t booked and online it was completely booked up - we took our chances, walking 30 mins to get there on a whim. We told the lady on the front desk we hadn’t booked - it was Mother’s Day and the place was heaving. She smiled and said no problem follow me. The food completely surpassed our expectations and was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had. Everything on the plate was perfect, including their signature bacon wrapped stuffing. I would travel (the almost 2 hour round trip) again just to have a Sunday lunch here again. Genuinely as it good as it gets in terms of a good old British Sunday roast.

Visited for 1st time and a very enjoyable experience indeed! Pleasant staff and good service. However as a vegetarian who does not enjoy bread based meals ..I found the menu very limiting for hot main meal. I hope to see more vegitarian options in future?

Lame. Food was overcooked in parts and undercooked in others. Extremely fatty pork, No seasoning. Staff not around throughout the meal and tried to pay but waited about 20min for staff to notice. Not asked if food was ok or if we wanted desserts. So I’m ld like a decent reply not a standard sorry with no explanation given to problems.

Lovely place for Sunday roast - had the triple roast which was delicious and cooked to perfection. We followed with trio of sweets - again a lovely selection which were very nice.

Very nice looking gastro pub, but it can be extremely busy and loud. The food is OK, but prices are high. Staff members and service are excellent.

A fantastic experience at the Orange Tree Totteridge! I had the ribeye steak and chips, which was cooked to perfection. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her cheeseburger. We started with the delicious chicken liver pate and beef croquettes, both were well presented and outstanding. The atmosphere was lovely and very elegant, and the service was friendly and excellent. Highly recommended!

Been here with elderly family, twice for lunch on Sundays. It was certainly very busy but the ambiance was welcoming and peaceful. Staff are attentive and helpful, and no problem over small amendments to items off the delicious menu. We shared starters, then main course and desserts. All good portions and very tasty. Plus a good selection of drinks: alcohol and fruities. Booking a table is essential for a weekend lunchtime although the car parking is a bit tight however you fix it. We enjoyed it and will go again for sure.

Three people for lunch on Saturday. Busy, yet food came in good time, and the service was very pleasant and efficient.

It's a nice-looking pub, but don't expect good service if you don't have light enough skin pigmentation. I don't recommend it if you come from a diverse background or support multiculturalism.

This is an amazing pub for a regular visit. I love the atmosphere, which is so quality and designed well! I had my birthday there with my 12 friends at a long table. We were served so well, and there was always someone around for our needs. I highly recommend this pub for good food. The food was so well made, and the dessert! It's a lovely pub for lunch and a night out with friends!

Located in a beautiful part of Totteridge. This is a gastropub with elegant decs and logfires. It is a treat coming here to dinner. They cater for vegetarians too and I love that they have refreshing Cocktails! A must go!

It was my first visit and it was fabulous experience. Katerina and Mersin were very welcoming and attentive. Place has great atmosphere and decor. Lovely food and great choice of wine . Will definitely be coming back.

I visited this restaurant for a birthday with friends. I am afraid to say there are hardly any gluten free option however if I was vegan all the dishes were marked with a v. A waitress explained the few dishes I could have (nothing on the small lunch set price one ) I settled for risotto which was tasteless. I suggest anyone looking for gluton free food go up the road past monken hadley on the road to potters bar that has many gluten free options.

We have visited Orange Tree many times and love the food and coffee. Katerina and other staff are friendly and polite. I have a birthday treat as being a member and was treated a free 3-course meal, also received a birthday tray & candle. This visit was as good quality as before plus save money. We will go more often.

I only use this pub for a coffee stop every couple of months, but it's always smartly presented with polite staff...

Always get a great dinner at The Orange Tree, good service, good food, good portions.

Not worth your money or your time. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. I’ve been here before and wanted to give it another chance, but this visit was a disappointment. I paid nearly £80 for a 16oz chateaubriand that was cooked well-done instead of medium, as instructed. It came with dry chips and bland mushrooms, making the entire meal underwhelming. Overall, the food lacked flavour, and nothing stood out. I wish I had asked for my money back for the issues with the steak. I definitely won’t return.

Great ambiance, warm and cosy on a cold day with log fires, attentive staff and tasty food

The restaurant had a great setup where it almost felt like we had our own personal waitress attentive, friendly, and always making sure we had everything we needed. We went with the set menu, and honestly, it was more than enough. The portions were generous, and every dish was well-prepared. I’m not usually a big fan of dessert, but the brownie they served was something else, rich, perfectly balanced, and truly unique. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Nice pub. Friendly staff. Just a pity about some of the truly unpleasant people they allow to drink there. I felt threatened and unsafe. It was a real shame as I am no longer confident about returning.

Love it nice atmosphere and good food, service

Visited as part of a birthday treat, had been once before an thought the pub was clean, well run and the food looked good. We had a 3 course meal from the all day menu, and every dish was really well presented and very tasty! At the end we were full ! We weren’t rushed, so it was a relaxing experience also. There is a car park but in the afternoon it also fills up with parents collecting children from school !! We will certainly visit again.

We visit the restaurant and bar regularly, and Tina is the best bartender. she works incredibly hard and is always so organised. She truly makes our visits enjoyable every time.

Lovely warm, homely atmosphere, and they were very accommodating to our requests and substitutions. The waiters could have been more attentive, but we had a great time nonetheless. They serve mostly British cuisine with the expected level of spice. All of the deserts that we tried (sticky toffee pudding, apple tart, and chocolate brownie) were a win!

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch. The meal was excellent, Marcel , Luka and Leo made sure we were well looked after. Their attentiveness really enhanced the experience, and everything was perfectly arranged.

Been going for 50 years a bit over priced now

I have been a customer for past 10 years or more. I love the staff there , especially Marsel , very attentive , sharp , polite and agile , always a smile no matter how busy they are and always super quick. Best of luck to them all

I had the pleasure of dining at The Orange Tree recently and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The pub boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with decor that perfectly balances rustic charm and modern comfort. My evening was made even better by the excellent service provided by my waiter, Marsel and Luka. He was friendly, attentive, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu. Leonardo aswell was spot-on, and his professionalism made the dining experience truly enjoyable.

Had a lovely time here last weekend. Cosy atmosphere and the food was delicious. Our waitress, Tina, was very attentive and fulfilled any requests we had.

I have been here a few times over the years and always had a great experience. Food and service have always been great. Plenty of options on the menu and they change it to keep it fresh.

Nice looking place with good atmosphere but the service is completely shocking! 1. I had a table booked yet they made me wait over 15 minutes to be seated & seated people before me that walked in after me. 2. Left me for a further 20 minutes at my table & served people that was sat after me. 3. Only bright half our drinks order. 4. In ordered a stake & they refused to be me a streak knife until I had to assertively request one. 5. When booking I noted it was for a birthday & they did absolutely nothing to accommodate the occasion. 6. The waitresses were rude 7. They have a poor drinks selection. This place could be great if not for the service. I’m convinced it was racial discrimination. I was just consistently ignored!

Lovely venue and great service.

Part of the Mitchell's and Butler Premium Country pubs chain, therefore the same fare. With some dishes the portion sizes are on the small side (nouvelle cuisine style), so best have a starter and / or a desert. I prefer one of their sister pubs - The Cowper Arms in Hertford. The standard of the food has definitely gone up over recent months, as has the friendly service.

The fish and chips is legendary honestly the best meal at the orange tree ! Overall great place to dine really chic and very clean, wide menu lots of discounts offered when you sign up for emails and birthday discounts which is great. Staff welcoming and accommodating food is on point along with the service. Only downside is parking at peak times is often an issue as the car park is small and limited this needs to be thought about for future but wouldn't let this put you off you won't be disappointed if you visit.
