The perfect beer garden for a Sunday lunch.

Managed to eat here after so many years. It wad a table of 6 and we ordered different startes and mains, so got a chance to try many plates. None of them were good! The place and location are great.

Nice place. Went there for Christmas meal. Enjoyed the food. Staff were superb.

Cozy gastropub, the location, decor and surroundings are atractions in their iwn right. High quality of food, variety of drinks. Service is just right, it does not go above and beyond. Overall, one of the best pubs I've been to. Highly recomended.

A family group of four visited for Sunday lunch during the very busy period between Christmas and the New Year. Pre-booked a table which was wise as they were turning away patrons who hadn’t booked. The place was packed but we were shown to our table straight away. Lovely country pub decor and a roaring fire soon had us feeling warm and cosy. Wait staff were outstanding for the duration of the visit checking at the table if we needed anything, varied menu was available but being Sunday we all went for a roast, food was excellent and fairly priced as were the drinks. Very impressed with this very nice country feel public house and the excellent service even during a busy period.

We occasionally come to the orange tree for a meal to either celebrate something or just another occasion. We love the orange tree as they have a great menu to choose from, always ask if we have any allergies, the food comes out hot, you don't have to wait long for a drink either. Very nice staff, always making sure if everything is okay. Would highly recommend going back sometime soon

I visit the orange tree frequently with friends and loved ones. Great food and drink. Staff are always top mark. Clean spaces throughout and dog friendly. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The pub is beautiful, the food was delicious, perfectly presented & drinks & cocktails too. I also have to give a special mention to everybody who greeted and served us - very welcoming, helpful, friendly & service very prompt. Also really responsive & helpful, e.g one of our party has a nut allergy & the waitress went above and beyond to make sure that food was OK, getting more sugar lumps in case of contamination and that really applies to everyone who served us. A massive thank you & can't praise all the staff, chef etc enough!

Had a Sunday roast at the orange tree with a friend. The meal was delicious .Waitresses were wonderful and very helpful and friendly in particular Sara and Tina. Making the experience better. Highly recommended !

There were 9 of us in the family group and we had pre-ordered our menu. Everything arrived correct and food tasted good. Our server was very attentive in ensuring we had plenty of drinks and restaurant was flexible with drinks under our special offer menu extension. We come every Christmas as an extended family group and always enjoy the evening.

The ambience and the location is great and the food quality is also good. However it doesn't feel good value for money especially with proportion size to price e.g. the halloumi fries proportion can be improved upon. Especially given the current cost of living issues being faced by everyone.

Lovely little place in Whetstone. Really good food and the service is professional and friendly. Beautiful little pond at the entrance and part of the front beer garden. Lots of parking but can get very busy on weekends. Can be a bit expensive, really good for date nights.

Ambience is great and the latest decor is too. Service was efficient. However the food….oh so poor….all just dumped on the plate, very unappetising. The linguine was tasteless, 4 prawns and a lot of chopped up fresh tomato. A shame as it’s a lovely venue.

Absolutely one of my favourite country pubs. Food is always first class, stylish interior & cosy atmosphere. Staff are brilliant. Enjoyed pan-fried lamb roast with all the trimmings.

We had the most fantastic festive menu at the Orange Tree Totteridge, served by one of the best waitresses we have ever experienced. So professional and on point, we never had to wait for anything. Even our extra sauces and sides. The food was delicious and fantastic. Turkey tender and cooked to perfection. Well done to Talia the supervisor at the OT. Just had a wonderful experience at the Orange Tree Totteridge. We have been served by a wonderful manageress who was West End class in the way she has served us. Everything we could have ever wanted was catered for by Talia and her merry helpers. Merry Xmas all and get yourselves down to the OTT for lovely grub and service!

Tina and Talia were absolutely amazing! We had our Christmas party there this evening for 25+ people; everything ran so smoothly, timings were perfect and service was really great. Food was delicious, allergies were adhered too and details were double checked; overall a wonderful relaxing evening thanks to the amazing Talia and Tina! We went for a Sunday roast to this pub for the first time. We roast ordered chicken roast , kids fish and chips with few drinks and desert. Everything was delicious and so fresh. The atmosphere was nice and very cosy. However, the service was a bit slow and It wasn’t busy as we’re there around 6pm. We had to wait quite long between drinks . We wasn’t sure if they would have any roast left but they did and it was a good portion too. They had colouring paper and crayons which kept our little one busy and happy. We have recently moved to the neighbourhood and we are glad that we have this gorgeous pub nearby. Definitely will visit again.

Ambience very good, staff are welcoming & helpful, decor is pleasing. Sadly the quality of the food is disappointing. Half the the roast on the plate was tough & overcooked, the other half OK, the gravy was poured on before serving, was very salty & not up to scratch. Less selection & more attention to the quality & preparation & cooking is needed (in my opinion) although the atmosphere makes up for the deficit somewhat. Perhaps a buffet style of food might be offered for some of the diners?

Part of the Mitchell's and Butler Premium Country pubs chain, therefore the same fare. Also has the same Festive Xmas Menu. Prefer one of their sister pubs - The Cowper Arms in Hertford. The standard of the food has definitely gone up over recent months, as has the friendly service.

We love the Orange Tree. Fantastic food, especially the sharer Sunday roast, staff are always so welcoming and attentive. We are so lucky to have such a great local on our doorstep.

Great location and setting but unfortunately run by a chain which seems to care little about quality and service. Staff are constantly changing, service is terrible. Food is just good enough to warrant the prices. It is sad to see how this pub has evolved. No doubt it will continue to benefit from the great location, but be warned if you are going for an occasion.

Tegan was a lovely host tonight. Gorgeous meal for my friend’s birthday and a lovely decorated plate for her dessert was very special! Haven’t been here for ages but will definitely return again ! 10/10

Soup great , crispy duck salad yet again disappointing. Wobbly fatty skin - definitely NOT crispy. Better still meat should have been shredded off the skin. Left a bowlful of duck ski ! . Was ghastly

This pub is amazing the staff are absolutely incredible and so lovely to talk to and easy to communicate with. The food was absolutely amazing and not too much. I would definitely go again.

Good food and nice and kind staffs

Ate here with family. Aubergine lasagne was reported to be excellent. The roast pork belly with crackling was overall, quite poor. A very good quantity of veg but a very small couple of pieces of pork for the best part of 20 quid. The extra dauphinoise was poor. Small portion and dry as a Bone. The crackling portion with the pork belly was minuscule and having seen others complain I wish I had done the same and been given more. Very busy venue with quite a few families (as in screaming babies). We may be back but won’t rush.

I told my guest that last time I went here was 2 years ago, and stopped going as the food quality was poor. Last night the place was crowded.. I ordered a Liguine/Praha and my colleague ordered Fish&Chips/Fullers. The only thing that was good was the lager and the bitter. The fish and Chips - My guest had to hunt for the fish in the batter. There weren't any flaky cod.. I think it was re-constituted fish. it would have been better to say batter & chips for £ 18.75 The Linguine - £ 18.50 - worst ever eaten anywhere.. I could have had a M&S dinner for one for around £ 5.00 give me something 100% better. I think they added sugar into the Linguine. Just paid up and left, leaving in a hurry as it was not an enjoyable experience, again - after 2 years. I am in the hospitality industry and run a restaurant and a 4-star hotel, so negative reviews are disappointing, but I have no choice as what I said above is factual - not recommended for the food.

The pizzas we had were very good, lot better than all the pizza places. Real ale also spot on.

We were sat at a perfect table in a little alcove which helped us have a quiet conversation, some of our group are hard of hearing. Service was excellent. Food tasty and served fresh and hot.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious lamb rump for lunch today at The Orange Tree in Totteridge, and it was absolutely fantastic! The lamb was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. It’s easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. It was a wonderful dining experience, and I can’t wait to return for another meal. Highly recommend!
