£6,70 for pint Moretyi ,Staff are friendly to expensive for this area,,It's Easter Sunday I'm here freezing cold no heating, one pint is enough ,might be better on a summer day?? Can't judge the food ain't tried,,,

I really enjoyed the Indian menu the food is really authentic.

So glad this pub has reopened. Nice pub , and they have a bunch of lovely polite staff. Haven’t tried the food menu yet but I hear it’s very good.

My new favourite in North London! I was just passing by and decided to pop in for a quick bite, and I’m so glad I did. I only tried the tandoori wings and lamb chops, but wow… they were absolutely epic! The quality of the meat was top-notch, and the flavours were spot on, juicy, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. You can tell a lot of care goes into their food. The decor and ambience is on point too, very classy! Definitely looking forward to coming back and exploring more of their extensive menu.

Tuvimos una comida india increíble en el Tally Ho. Fácilmente comparable a los mejores pubs desi de Harrow y Kingsbury - recomendaría a cualquiera que busque buena comida india, excelentes cervezas de barril y increíbles martinis de maracuyá.

El peor pub de Londres. Vacío, sin ambiente, personal absolutamente inútil y carajo. Por lo general, en los pubs malos se puede al menos decir una cosa positiva. Aquí, eso era imposible, no visitar. Honestamente, hay al menos 15 grandes pubs entre Finchley piedra de afilar central, no hay razón para dar costumbre a estos estafadores!

We booked in advance, only to be told when we arrived that the restaurant, did not open till 5pm. The food was mediocre. The waiting staff were very friendly and good. But ambience let it down. Some juices and drinks were not available. Out a party of 6 , five suffered from gastric problems and reflux.

£9 for a pint of Guinness and a packet of crisps…outrageous

The roasted chicken dinner was underwhelming, lacking both seasoning and tenderness. The chicken wings were disappointingly dry, and the pineapple tasted like it had been sitting out for too long. Even the lemonade was unimpressive—flat and overly sweet. For the price, I expected something much better. Overall, a rather forgettable meal that I wouldn’t rush back for.

I have never seen Tally Ho's washroom in this worst state. There was a cleaning check sheet hanging and the last signature was before noon.

Had the most amazing food here. We ate off the Indian menu which was superb Clean and nicely decorated. My new favourite Indian food

Todas las mesas son altas con sillas altas. Excepto la que encontré. Sillas y mesas nuevas y media corazón redec. No tan ocupado como solía ser. Quizá 6 libras. 20 porque ni una pinta de Heineken puede impedir que gente como yo regrese. Bebo cerveza como en bombeo a mano o vino o una buena cerveza continental y sidra. Así que no comprometido, normalmente. Pero no cerveza británica. Y repito £ 6. 20 es demasiado para el Heineken básico. Creo que tienen la fórmula equivocada en el lugar equivocado.

Big pub. Good food. Lots of wall-mounted TV screens showing the sport. As at March25, only £6-something for a pint of Heineken. Near lots of shops & transport (bus) links.

Took my daughter for a late lunch basic chips and nachos can’t be to difficult you’d think… food was served asked for salt for chips (never got) the nachos well…. A load of red onion 2 small tomato’s diced the smallest amount of cheese one can imagine and no jalapeños pointed this out to a waiter to be told no not on the nachos (although it’s on the menu) diabolical considering I paid £11.13 for the both I did get refunded the 5.96 for nachos but not the point left with a unhappy child and no food eaten!!Can’t believe it and definitely won’t be going back again!!! Bring back the old tally ho I say!!!!!

My experience at Tally Ho in Finchley was hands down the worst yet. The staff seemed inexperienced, struggling even to pour a proper pint, and the hygiene was shocking—a urinal overflowing with urine made the whole place reek, nearly making me gag. I had high hopes for their Indian menu, especially as a local looking forward to the pub’s reopening, but it was a complete letdown. The food lacked any real flavour, was overpriced, and the meat had a strange smell, making it almost inedible. Safe to say, this place is now firmly off my list. Ended up heading across the road to the burger shop for something actually worth eating.

Wow. Has changed... and not for the better

Have been twice. Some items were not available on the menu but we weren't told beforehand. The food we received was very nice. Friendly service but with teething problems.

Comida no muy bien, porciones pequeñas por dinero superior, bebidas en el lado alto también, pero solo un poco más de lo que otros pubs locales son. No volvería por la comida, roca marina es mejor

Visité el restaurante de arriba que estaba casi desierto. Sin embargo, a pesar de no haber otros clientes tuvimos que esperar 15 minutos para una botella de vino que ni siquiera estaba fría. Tuve que pedir agua del grifo 3 veces. La comida estaba por debajo de la media y mi hamburguesa estaba cerca de no ser comestible. Nunca volveré a ir allí. Espantoso.

Went into the Tally Ho at lunchtime on a Saturday, the music was so loud it was like going into a nightclub with dance music (not background music at all), we were having to shout at each other to have a conversation. When we asked if the music could be turned down slightly, they agreed and then didn’t turn it down. Another table asked the same and were totally ignored. It was absolutely bonkers to sit in what should be a nice pub and not be able to have a conversation or relax. Won’t return in future as they obviously don’t care about their customers.

Rude person in the til. He tried to charge me service charge on top of the order and if you check the menu they have outside, it does not show anything related to the charge. I cancelled my order and the guy gave me an attitude. Not coming back to this place.

Horribly smell, pools of urine on the bathroom floor (because new management in all their wisdom blocked off the urinal drainage pipes) and a terrible draught and spirit range. Why was this place closed for so long? Incompetence? Low cash flow from the new owners? Who knows, what I do know is that the people running it now know sweet fa about how to run a successful pub. Awful, a lesson in how to totally ruin a pub. Avoid like the plague.

My friends and I went there for a drink, they had a number of tables and booths to sit in. We ordered our drinks via the app, and waited over 10-15 mins for it.. so I went to check at the main till, they were busy serving pints which is understandable but they didn’t acknowledge the order I made, it was just hanging off the printer. Eventually we were served our drinks after flagging it up. To add to the slow service, the pub stinks of cigarette smoke. It didn’t feel like it was coming from outside but from the vents. So not great for non smokers who just want a drink and chill.

Great staff and great pub in North Finchley.

Booked a table to watch the F1, after some technical difficulties with the TVs they managed to put it on for us. Service was great and so were the drinks, unfortunately the kitchen was closed this time.

Was served by dionne, she was sleeping on the bar on shift, the most incompetent and disrespectful service ice ever had, I am a regular and definitely won't be coming in when she is on shift again.

Great venue for sport. They have a massive screen and a great sport drinks menu. Who knew you could get a "2 pinter"? The staff are so genuine and even offered table service during the match so we didn't have to get up to order more drinks!

North finchley tally ho can be unpleasant to visit! But depends on time of the day you go.. always approached by people asking for money outside sainsbury's and loitering near atm's! I've known this area for over 30 years!

We went in family with Jason as our guide. We had a tremendous great time. The time he took to explain and show London will be unforgettable. Thx, Jason! Luc

Not alot of choice to drink from the beer selection as a couple of them was turned off so when for the peproni gutted as it tasted old

Since coming in Tash has done an amazing job by hiring staff that are young, friendly and eager to look after customers. Great place to watch the football.

Service was great - staff were friendly and while it was busy you didn’t have to wait too long for a drink. Monika was behind the bar at the time and was an absolute angel. She was perfectly happy accepting Scottish money - some places don’t!

Tally Ho pub in North Finchley offers a inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual drink with friends or a relaxed evening out. Jim and Daniel, the welcoming staff, contribute greatly to the pub's friendly vibe, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable. With its traditional decor and well-stocked bar, The Tally Ho is definitely my new go too place.

Went in for a pint,usually it's 5.70...was charged 6.40 because the nite before had a party and they couldn't adjust the till...PATHETIC...ZPLACE IS GONE DOWNHILL...shame it used to be a great pub...

I worked in this pub back in 2008. It used to be JDW. I did not know the story back then. One evening I was doing wine stock up down in the basement cellar. Whilst I was there, I heard a loud crying baby noise. It was unusual because there were no babies upstairs or downstairs. It was impossible. Then I learned the story about the landlord in Victorian times had a mistress who he got pregnant. She brought the baby, when his wife saw it, she threw the baby down the basement where it died. One more thing, I used to fee unusual energy upstairs in the restaurant constantly. I felt like someone was looking at me. There was a table round the corner, it had a menu. Whenever I put the menu on it, it landed on the floor. True story believe me.

Christmas Eve I had a drink thrown over me by another guest and I am disappointed with the security and how the situation was managed. I would have expected an incident report form to be completed and the assault to be reported in the correct manner. I feel the staff and security needs training and the correct legal procedures should be followed in the matter of an assault on the premises. There should have been a member of staff or managers to report the incident to soon as possible, they should have recorded made sure all details correct and had available a copy of the report. This is a failure and a breech of the Health and Safey Act. If you do not want to address this matter I am confident the country court will.

Not the best not the worst its a weatherspoons. Loverly staff and they have really improved the garden area to try and shield it of from the roads. Good place to stop on route.

I visited the Tally Ho today. When I ordered the chicken tikka masala, when it arrived it was 95% sauce. After I had complained, I was refused a refund as I had eaten it. Extremely poor management. I would definitely not be visiting again, as they did not go the extra mile to keep a customer.

Lockdown, a bad manager and the cost of living crisis has led to a severe loss of clientele. Now the Tally Ho are so desperate for customers, a person who was barred for drug use on the premises has now been let back in. Meantime they can't fix the heaters in the beer garden.

Good pub, a selection of drinks, large area, nice outside, but I just wouldn’t recommend the food there (especially not the roast dinner!) but reckon you’re safe with drinks !!

It's Monday 11 December and with a friend of mine I go to the counter to order. At the counter is a black girl who I guess the name is Shanah as I read on my receipt. Her customer service was disgusting. she was annoyed, impatient and downright rude. moreover, she ordered something for me that I hadn't asked for and I felt awkward telling her because of her impatience. Had a lovely time at the Tally the other day. Really nice food and barstaff were lovely.

Used to be a good value pub when it was a Spoons, Now like every Spoons pub that's sold out, it no longer is. I wonder what Spike Milligan whom used to be a regular, would make of its prices?

Tally ho pub north Finchley is a joke and so is the manager . Over charged me for my meals . When I questioned it she just shrugged her shoulder and said there’s nothing she can do . A watered down coke is 4.50 . The food was bad anyway and items were missing from it . Don’t go to this pub it’s totally overpriced and the manager is ridiculous

I’ve been there a couple of times now and I can definitely recommend. Great local pub, welcomes the new public very well. Here me out, you will find everything in there, from football/boxing to DJs on sat night, pool tables, TASTY FOOD, fair decent price. Bust stop in front of the place, very easy to find! Honestly it worth checking. We had the best service from Heidi ⭐️

The only thing is disappointing that stuff changes often 😕 and every time you get treated with new members bit rude no respect for customers 😔 sometimes to nasty. Popped in for drinks and a meal with friends. Unfortunately they were offering a reduced menu due to staffing issues in the kitchen. We were served by Rob who literally threw the food on the table. Clearly he was having a bad day! Been loads of times and staff are really good, so we felt let down on this occasion.

What is it with this pub? Since Johnny left it closes early every night?? How can you go move opening times and you close an hour before?

Not been here for quite a while, the menu was a let down, not great when half the menu is missing, and you cannot even do me a Hunters Chicken without the cheese, and i thought it was an add on? Why was i refused it no cheese , honestly baffled, and very lazy, the southern fried chicken was sub standard . It is a shame i cannot sit in the same place as previously, so many pubs need changes made to them a disabled toilet, a pub thats mostly accessible and more than 1 entrance, and you do not think we have not got money to spend, how wrong, if pubs are not accessible and i have to put up with people playing snooker right by me, oh whats the point of the tv on the wall when the lights over the table are blocking my view, and the tv down the other end is too far away . Next time i have trouble with ordering , i will seriously consider walking out ( Quite Pathetic not being able to do me a Hunters Chicken ,without CHEESE, at a pub near me i have no trouble whatsoever taking away items i do not want) Very lazy , and bad customer service .

We came here for birthday celebrations but staff were so rude specially that girl.even the pint they served were dad pint . Will never come here again. So disappointed.i am sharing the pic of pint .

Came in tonight to watch the Arsenal game, the pints were great value. Had a burger and chips and it was to die for. Deffo coming back, will recommend. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Just popped in here to day after finishing work , let’s just say without all the details , the manager in my opinion , rude and sarcastic, in fact no , I was at the bar first in the que as it were , some body got served before me no big deal , then came the sarcasm asthenosphere guy served me , stating it would only take a minute , and if I had time , Then gives me a Stella in a fosters glass , which I complained that it doesn’t taste the same , and I should have been asked , To which he replied , that if I knew anything I would know that fosters have the best widgets, I complained again unless asked I shouldn’t be just given any glass instead the correct one , he offered to change it but not for a Stella glass , I declined, To which he said just go into the garden and drink your beer, Really I’m not happy , Luckily I let it go , But this guy needs to retrain as customers Deserve to be spoken to with respect , Yes they are not always right , But this guy has too much to say for himself That is becoming of a public house manager

Saturday the 9th September, I went to the Tally Ho for lunch. The lady serving behind the bar was very miserable and unprofessional. No eyes contact, not smiling. She literally walked away when I was talking to her about my table number. Not pleasant at all. I tried to give a feedback to the manager but ever the manager did not care about it. Not sorry, nothing! This pub used to have a better staff and great customer service. Not anymore! Very poor service and sad staff.

excellent choice of cocktails on 241 deal with cheap food to accompany the drinks. would highly recommend for large or small groups

Such a great fun filled place to meet friends. Alert staff ready to serve a cool fresh pint as soon as you walk in. Tables cleared and the wonderful wafts of freshly prepared cooked steaming hot food. Definitely worth a visit 🍻

Great 241 offer on cocktails. Limited range of cocktails but some classics on there and a wide variety of spirits for those not interested in the 241 deal

Fantastic range of draught lagers and plenty of phenomenal spirits. Wide variety of food on offer and a great burger and drink deal. Went to watch the f1 and got a meal and couple of rounds for less than 40 quid.
