Staff very friendly and efficient, would give them 5stars. The furniture in the bar area should have been put in a skip 10 years ago. I honestly have better chairs in my sheds for the farm workers to sit on. Not having been in there for a very long time, I just couldn’t believe it. To have it looking like that, where guests walk through to check in is absolutely mind boggling. Come on owners, sort it out.

The venue is wonderful, the service awful. The problem with this bar is that the management simply let the younger staff run it and provide very little oversight. This has been the case on the last couple of occasions I have visited, when the behaviour of other guests has been awful and simply unchecked. I am quite used to rough language in a rough environment but I really do not expect other customers to be using the C word in this premium hotel and no one to intervene. When I did stand up and ask the customer to tone it down, other patrons actually cheered me. This is a really expensive bar and no-one goes in it to be treated like that. It also goes for long periods of time without a member of staff gracing the customers with their presence. There are so many better places in Stamford and not all charge £42 for a meagre bottle of Picpoul de Pinet.

Lovely wine bar with large selection of wines and gins. Great garden area but also cosy inside. Small but great atmosphere.

This place has been revamped and just wow! The decor is slick and the outside beer garden is sublime in the summer. The cocktails are great and a fabulous selection of ales. Dog friendly. You cannot go wrong with this Stamford gem

No food on my visits to there the service is always extremely slow in this spoons. Slower than most other spoons. This place is always rammed so they are obviously doing something right but they do seem to have crammed too many tables in to this one.

Had a great night with the tallington jetski club listening to an excellent live band (Vex) with brilliant friendly staff. If your close by on a Friday night you won't do wrong by dropping by. Thanks for a great night 👌

We visited at around 230pm Sat Aug 19th and ordered 3 cake slices, 2 hot chocolates and a cappucino. While the drinks were tasty the service was extremely slow to the point the hot chocolates were lukewarm, not hot. Too long a queue to join to ask if they could do 2 more as the other drink, cappucino, would then have been cold. Lots of tables uncleared and the ones that were cleared were not wiped down well. The plush lesther seats were stained and lots of dust on the wooden rail trims. Then after all of that, the toilet, oh my word, it was just disgusting. It clearly had not been cleaned all day ( do staff even check it?!), it absolutely stank, pee on the floor and not just recent either, there were dried stains of pee too. Bits of toilet tissue over floor and the sink stained and dirty. If we had used the toilet first before ordering our drinks, we would not have stayed to order anything. It is only one toilet to be shared by all and that is fine, but with so many people using it, the staff have GOT to step up amd clean in there regularly. Manager of this store is clearly not keeping an eye on it all. Save your money and drink elsewhere.

We had a wonderful family celebration lunch here with 15 adults and 4 children and everything was excellent, the communication and planning beforehand, the food and the service. I am so pleased that I discovered Mama Liz's, none of our party had been before and all said that they would definitely go back so I would highly recommend it to anyone especially if they are looking for a venue for a big group.

One of the best paninis i’ve ever had. I had the tuna melt and you receive a large portion for a very small price! I was extremely impressed. Comes with a lovely fresh salad and crisps. A lovely girl greeted us in on the saturday afternoon whilst a friendly young boy took our order. Our drinks were divine and service was speedy. Will definitely be back! Thank you Cafe Black

Very misleading! Huge signs outside saying dogs “always” welcome. Well it seems not If it’s raining, the bar person claims dogs are not welcome if it’s raining. It is a shame the bar man was so rude considering we had previously enjoyed a nice visit here.

the woman with the strange colour hair?came across as extremely rude and passive aggressive made me feel uncomfortable i wanted to leave because of how rude she was costa sort this out!!! its appalling!!!!

Called in 14.30 for a late veggie breakfast at point of order we were told 20 minute wait. One coffee machine broke the other broke down twice. After 40 minutes meals not arrived had to join queue to complain and obtain a refund it was simply awful service and everyone was complaining. What also made it worse it was freezing in the restaurant.
