Costa in South Kesteven

Visited earlier today - dirty tables and we were one of the first customers in, so obviously not cleaned from the previous day - Manager was her usual friendly self (not) the air con was blasting on full making it feel like winter not a pleasant summer morning - I was tempted to ask for a cloth to wipe the table, but they say never upset anyone serving you food ! Plenty of other choices in Stamford - no wonder they were empty

I tried to use a gift card to pay for some of my bill, the nice girl at the checkout swiped it before her manager (Roxie I believe her name is) rudely barked “and what do you think your doing?” I honestly struggled to not tell the her to not be so unkind to her staff! The voucher wouldn’t work apparently it was expired, fair enough but she treated me appallingly, like I was trying to con Costa out of money or something. Honestly 0 customer service skills and I feel sorry for the staff there as she was so unpleasant to them.

Who is this manager,the woman with purple pink hair? She has no customer service skill whatsoever! Came to have a coffee with my family today, it was just after 4pm,as soon as I started ordering, she said she wont serve us in a normal cuo,just takeaway cups,as she is closing the shop in 45mins!!! The shop was blasting AC to the degree that customers sat in their jackets on!! She was rude,you could sense that she wanted us to leave asap,she even had a sarcastic comment about me trying to pay by card but machine didn't work,making it me to feel stupid like I havent seen these machines before... Awful! Whoever owns this shop ,guys this woman is driving yiur customers away,read the reviews!!! Terrible,will bever visit thisnplace again!

Firstly I asked for a cup of water as given by every branch in the UK that I have frequented. I visit Costa in the UK on average 6 times a week includes 2-3 visits per day, but he the girl said 'no unless u have your own cup'. She couldn't spare the plastic cup. My latte was the worst I have tasted in 30 years. It was like water, so flat. Very bitter taste. I returned to the counter as sat nearby and said bit more milk less water please. She argued saying "it has milk in it". No chance of your stirrer standing upright in this latte although I did not expect or ask for that. Anyway after being treated with incredulity and more milk added, it still tasted poor. It appeared she was rushing to close. Anyway absolute rubbish customer service. Enough to make you think about not going to Costa. I would certainly not return to this branch..

Didn't realise you couldn't take dogs into Costas. This is company policy. The manger was rude to a customer before I ordered and then informed me after we sat down the dog policy. I haven't a issue with the policy well I would prefer a dog friendly establishment! Her total lack of warmth and people skills for a manager was terrible! The young lady working with her smiled at me clearly embarrassed by her managers approach!

They serve a purpose. Don’t prepare to be wowed but it is quick. The service was fine but the coffee somewhat unremarkable

Popped into Stamford costa last week after a local appointment, had been wanting to try the new Christmas hot chocolates so we picked costa to have a drink, the staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered , looked miserable and hardly spoke. We had the mint and chocolate orange hot chocolates to take away (due to covid) and we were both very disappointed they were watery and hardly any mint or chocolate orange flavour. Not the first time we have disappointing experience here so will not be going to this Costa again or recommending it. Don't waste your money visit one of the many fab coffee shops Stamford has to offer. Since had a chocolate orange hot chocolate in the Peterborough hospital Costa and it was really nice.

A member of staff serving on the tills was pretty much barking orders for where everyone should stand in line. I realize this is the pandemic, but this coffee shop is one of the few opportunities for people to get out. As two of us were waiting, meters apart, she barked at me to come back to the till in order to stay in line. When I suggested I was actually safer two meters away to allow the next girl to be served, she shouted at me in front of all of the customers and seemed to think she was entitled to speak with aggression and attitude. The coffee was also burnt and was tasteless. This place used to have great service and staff, deeply saddened its gone down hill so much. And would not wish to see anyone else experience such holier than thou attitude from a barista. Won’t be returning again.

Very rude member of staff that was serving at the tills today, she raised her voice at an elderly genetleman and also was very rude and had an awful attitude. Made me feel uncomfortable.

Very spacious premises which makes for relaxed atmosphere. Staff attitude was excellent including their washing our own re-usable cups for us. Premises were in good order. Thank you to everyone on duty.

Just been in costa today on Stamford. Emma served me She is a breath of fresh air. Smiling and interacting rather the robotic patter others say Keep it up What's emma surname?

Popped into Costa today for a cup of tea and a sticky bun. Well staff behind the counter serving were.....not very obliging.....looked grumpy and not happy in their work! Will think twice about using this establishment again!

Was there for a meeting that lasted 3 hrs and although it would have been cheaper to meet in another cafe or bar, but the seating was comfy the ambiance was great. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Cleanliness was first-class and nothing was left on tables for more than a moment ! Then why 4 stars and not 5 ? 5 is perfection and that's hard to achieve 😉

Costa coffee has just been revamped and looks lovely. Coffee and cake is always good and tasty Would recommend a visit

Market day is always busy in Stamford but the choice of eating places with a dog and vegetarian teen is always a little limited, so on a limited budget and hot weather, we decided to pop in for a quick lunch. The toasties are great and they pretty good value but firstly we had to clear an outdoor table for ourselves as the 2 empty tables were covered in cups and dirty used ashtrays, as well as move the posts as none of the outdoor tables were accessable by my daughters wheelchair. The food, drinks and service were good but it was only as we were leaving that the dirty cups we had put on the other free table were moved, and the ashtrays were still left. it wasn;t that busy, i'm sure someone could have found a minute to tidy outside during the time we were there.

Visited Costa for Coffee and biscuits also noticed the front of the shop is looking scruffy so time for a lick of paint! but don't let that put you off the Coffee is OK and service was prompt

Took my God Daughters here for a quick bite and drinks as they love Costa. I find this cafe too dark and dreary and our table was very sticky and the whole place just felt it needed a good clean and brighter lighting and interior design. The staff were a bit quiet and unassuming but it was a nice peach tea drink sadly spoilt with too much ice.

I agree with a previous reviewer that there are nicer and more interesting places to have coffee in Stamford than here. Nothing wrong with the service or the items bought- just that the cafe (like many Costas) is dark and just a touch dingy, even though it is spacious. With Costa you do know the items you are ordering.When we saw the other coffee shops on offer we wished we had gone elsewhere.

Personally, I’d avoid here and try one of the much nicer independents in stamford. It’s tired looking, and the tea pot I got (with only hot water in) looked dirty. See photo! Service was quick but not particularly friendly. There are much nicer places to visit in stamford which are no more expensive.

Always pop in here. Love costa as a chain but this store in particular is comfy and not intimidating. Always quick service :)

Nice place to relax and have coffee and cake. A five minute walk from the car park and only £1.80 for three hours. Free parking on Sundays and bank holidays

It's Costa! You know what you're going to get before you walk through the door. Fresh hot coffees, chilled ice drinks and a collection of cakes, snacks and treats. This Costa on the high Street is accessible and busy.

Visited again after some time, it’s still poor value and poor service , with dirty floors and tables , don’t try the toilets.

Went for coffee here, very busy had to wait for a table. Staff very pleasant and didn't have to queue to long. Coffee really nice average prices for the chain.

Visited Costa for our mid morning coffee. Great coffee as always. Comfortable and warm on a cold windy day. You are never rushed in here and there is always a newspaper to read or free wi-fi. The staff are always so friendly and cheerful but more importantly they know how to make great coffee.

If the young men a working here spent more time talking to customers and serving them rather than ribbing each other, the quality of the drinks could improve.

Two years since our last visit here and not in the mood for coffee so had a cold drink and snack.. Busy as always, frustrating waits for drinks and delays clearing tables. My experience of this place is that it is always busy, but the staffing level is too low to ensure tables cleared and drinks/food arriving in a timely manner.

This Costa coffee offers a welcome break from the busy high street experience. The staff are friendly and invite you to enjoy your time in the cafe. A good place to rest your weary bones having explored the historical surroundings of Stamford.

The rain drove us into Costa and as always it was reliable and served my medium skinny latte, single shot, extra hot to 180 perfectly!

Outlet costa hace lo que se propone hacer que es servir una taza de café es bastante buena. El interior se siente un poco cansado. Nuestra visita fue animado por un hombre joven barrista practicando su rutina de stand up comic, que en su caso diciendo los clientes acerca a sentarse que la mesa estaba reservada. Sus víctimas se tomó con gracia, pero bueno parecía ser local folk country lincolnshire. Siendo del norte es probablemente una buena idea que no práctica en mí.

A Friendly café, where we enjoyed coffee and a ham & cheese Toastie in a clean and tidy environment. The main toilet was out of action, so there were queues to use disabled toilet.

The staff at Costa always manage to do a good job of looking after the cyclists when we visit, providing outdoor seating and delivering food

Had a visit to Stamford,and after the vile lunch,decided to have coffee,being a fan of Costa,we plumped for here,the place is small but it's clean and the staff are friendly and smile,if you want complain about this store the visit Peterborough,then you'll be grateful for what you have,although 1 minus,plate under table to balance it,not a good look.

Esta cafetería es normalmente muy concurrida, aunque era un fastidio que con adolescentes sentados en los asientos de ventana que generalmente no consumir nada! Si puedes conseguir en puerta (la cola puede ser bastante largo en horas punta) luego llevará posibilidades recoger su bebida y encontrar un lugar para sentarse. La distribución es muy estrecha alrededor de la zona del mostrador pero el resto de la cafetería es bastante grande, y hay un buen número de asientos en la parte de atrás. El wi-fi gratis y papeles siempre es una ventaja. Como el ir de Costa, esta es otra tienda de clonar. Si está en duda cuando está lleno que podría estar mejor con uno de los muchos café local/tiendas de té!

I always find the staff here quite rude and I'm not really a fan of their food/drinks. It always seems busy with plenty of business though

It's nice that there's a small outdoor seating area. There's quite a bit of room to sit at the back of the shop, but the front is cramped with the counter. Good service and the usual Costa range of treats
