Attended a Christmas party here. Staff did really well for such a busy period and the food was unexpectedly good (Christmas meals can often be disappointing due to the volumes that need preparing). Well done to the staff. Loses one point for the excessive prices for alcohol free beer.

Easily the best Nero I have been to. The staff make this store, always very friendly and welcoming. I love coming here for my morning coffee, and sometimes the occasional lunch time treat. The store is always kept really clean and the music is subtle classical, making for a pleasant environment every time I've been.

We are just here at a company Christmas event, and the place is superb. The staff are amazing, the food really good quality, and the function room perfect. I couldn't have hoped for a better Christmas meal experience. What a great place... Everyone is already saying that they want to be here for Xmas next year!

Went to see the band on Sunday afternoon, great band, cracking atmosphere and a good selection of real ales at very reasonable prices. Would thoroughly recommend.

Some great beers on friday night But to be fair they have great beers on most days.

Visited last night on a whim and had a bit of a wait because the place was full. Once seated the staff were very attentive ensuring our drinks came quickly and clearing our plates. Each time with a smile and checking we were happy. There was a huge choice of dishes and they were kept well stocked. There's nothing worse than wanting a particular dish for it to have run out and not restocked and that didn't happen. There is no shortage of what I would call the premium dishes, such as lamb and king prawns and everything was high quality. We have visited several times and despite eating many dishes, I still haven't managed to try half of them. Place seems very well run with plenty of staff all working hard.

Afternoon tea at its best! We have just enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea. Fabulous experience from start to finish, beginning with a phone call from the book cafe confirming we were arriving. Sandwiches were so fresh, the scones, enormous and perfect . The little cakes were scrumptious . We were met with a beautifully laid out table with china . Lots of tea available . Staff were attentive, friendly and so kind . Couldn’t fault anything . Thank you so much The Book Cafe .

Good brunch selection with good atmosphere. Only criticism would be portion sizes and too many hash browns (4) and sour dough at the expense of the other ingredients.

Went again for a bottomless brunch the staff was friendly , very efficient and quick serving our drinks. Food was good quality and it was nice that the chef came to see what we thought of the food. Will definitely be back again
