BB's in Derby

BB's appear to have some new staff members, visited yesterday and all staff were super friendly, the shop had a lovely atmosphere, the muffins were warm and the coffee was delicious. Much nicer than the bigger chains of coffee shops in the Derbion.

I use this cafe most Thursdays for a coffee to await an appointment elsewhere. The coffee is excellent and the staff very friendly. It is clean and tidy. I notice many regular customers returning frequently which tells me they too are happy with the standard of coffee and other offerings.

There was only one poor girl serving everyone but she did a good job. The roll we had was tasteless with hardly any filling, no butter or sauce/mayonnaise but the bread was good. No salt and pepper available. Black coffee and cappuccino was weak.

We went up to counter, in Derbion, 2 men ignored us then went into back room, I said if they don't want our custom let's leave. Glad we left for Costa coffee opposite- they had great service, comfy seats, good coffee & food! Never visiting BBS again. Should be BAS for Bl..dy Awful Service!

Waited for 5-10 mins while the girl behind the counter finished cleaning. Never once acknowledged me. Then proceeded to serve me without washing her hands after using spray detergents on the surfaces. 2 more customers came in and she started serving them while my drinks were on the side going cold. When I eventually got my order and sat down my cappuccino was more like warm milk than coffee of which I left. Really not the best place I've been to and doubt will bother going back either.

Lovely tea, coffee and toasties, BUT, can anyone explain why none of the staff clearing tables were wearing masks? Customers are told to keep your mask on until you've sat down, yet the three members of staff were in and out of the kitchen and wiping tables with no masks at all. A little strange in these crazy times.

We were desperate for a good cup of tea, tried BB's for the first time (5pm, Friday 22nd August). Service was excellent, the lady who served us was very polite and cheerful. We ordered fruit scones and tea, both were excellent. It was a very relaxing break.

We visit here frequently for coffee, warm food and of course the muffins. Staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. My son is in a wheelchair and the staff cant do enough to help and support. The food is fresh and tasty, as is the coffee. Highly recommended.

An oasis amid the bustle of Christmas shoppers. We were ready for a drink and a sit down, we'd passed a few places and then this looked OK. The drinks were good and the Christmas muffin was really enjoyable. Service was good and friendly too.

Called in for coffee break. Had coffee and share a blueberry muffin, whilst people watching. Just the job. Staff friendly and helpful will go again

What a wonderful nice and friendly place for a bite and a drink. Well priced and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

As i have a toddler i like to go somewhere which is child friendly, not too noisy & busy and with plenty of room for a pushchair. This place has it all. Meets my requirements, the drinks are nice, the muffins are AMAZING and all for a good price. Me and my husband have decided this is our family cafe now and our challenge is to try something different each time. Cant wait to come again

A little late I the afternoon called in for coffee and muffin. Just the job. Watching people rushing home. Good location coffee and muffins great. Jade was very helpful and friendly. Will go again.

Went in as a couple old friend went by and joined us. Three coffees and Blueberry Muffins chatting watching the world go by. Very pleasant atmosphere all staff very friendly. Will go again.

Called here when doing a bit of shopping and just wanted a quick sandwich. My friend was going to have the soup but we were told we'd have to wait while they 'warmed it up!' so obviously she changed her mind. We both had a cheese and ham toastie on sourdough bread which was delicious and served quickly. There is a wonderful selection of cakes that sadly I didn't try. Liked the idea of selecting 6 cakes to be boxed as a present - great idea for locals. Will happily eat here again

Been here a few times for breakfast when visiting Derby. Tea, coffee, bacon bap and sausage bap, consistent taste, staff always pleasant and helpful. See no reason not to go.

Myself and my wife stopped for a drink, never been here before, Costa was very busy where as this was empty, now I know why!

Called in for tea break. Two black coffees and shared a blueberry muffin. Both very good. Staff very cheerful and helpful, sat by the window people watching. Also found out about the spinning materials.

Can’t fault it really. Fresh cakes and scones. Lovely coffee. And a free one due to the loyalty card. Very bright and helpful staff. Will go again. L

Light and airey restaurant which is well furnished with a decent range of cakes and drinks, just the place to rest before wandering around the intu centre, service was quick and efficient.

My wife and regularly visit here when we are in the intu, centre. Very friendly atmosphere, quick and efficient. Very good coffee and sandwiches at reasonable prices. It welcomes children too, we often take our grandchildren. And has a nice selection of snacks and cakes. The cafe is nicely furnished and clean and table cleared quickly. Overall a good experience compared to some of the more familiar, coffee establishments.

Lovely decor friendly staff. But the muffin's are amazing. Home made light and fluffy and really moreish The coffee is nice as well. i can understand why this place is busy. They also sell muffins for take away deals

Tried it for the first time in the middle of the holiday, prices are within range, we particularly liked the croissants

It was a choice between here and costa. Definitely made the right choice. Great coffee and even better cakes

Called into this lovely coffee shop while shopping in the shopping centre. It was really busy so that is always a good indication. We spotted an empty table and my wife sat down at it while I went to the counter and ordered our latte and the choice of muffins is absolutely incredible. I chose a strawberry and cream one. The coffee was superb and the muffin was the best we have ever tasted, it was so fresh that it just broke up into small pieces, it's was so yummy though. Great place to sit and take out some time.

visited here during a break in shopping.ordered two latties .service was friendly,coffees great.the decor nice and bright.we didn't eat but the muffins looked very tasty.yes I would go again.and the price reasonable which was even better.

popped in for drinks and ham and cheese panini's, food prepared quickly and was very enjoyable. friendly staff but tables needed clearing more regularly.

This cafe visit was a success from start to finish. Everything was right. Bright and colourful, the openness of the room itself is quite a feature. Woollen cones decorate one wall, with yarn wound across a loom image on another. Colourful and well situated furnishings make this cafe welcoming and no table appears to offer a hotly contested seat/table or otherwise. All seating is good. A wide selection of foods are available over a reasonable price range, with both savoury and sweet items. The service is tremendous, rapid and with a cheery smile. Assistance is given by staff with carrying plates to your table but trays are provided for the drinks. Decaffeinated tea is available. The scones were very fresh indeed. Loyalty cards are deployed too. We will most certainly visit this gem again while in Derby and are delighted to find a welcome alternative to a Main & Stream cafe nearby. Fully recommended. Popular and well visited, so get in early for lunch. Toilets are there but we haven't visited those yet. Easy access for mobility arrangements, young and otherwise.

Went to this cafe on opening day - brilliant no complaints. Two visits since - coffee cold on both occasions, returned on first visit and given new ones, reluctantly! Second visit we were with a friend who wanted to go in here. Cold coffee again(Cappuccino).We ordered a sausage roll and had to go and ask for it, barely warm. The problem is because they are busy they dont spend the time making coffee properly. Shame.

Well what can I say, We had never heard of BB's before, but came across this place in the intu centre in Derby. Service was very friendly, and so informative as to how they made their muffins etc, nice clean place, great atmosphere. Only opened in August this year, so we were told, and we would highly recommend a visit to this place.
