I can not think of a better coffee shop at a service station. The staff are friendly and helpful. Their coffee is aromatic and flavoursome. There is a relaxed atmosphere with some very comfortable chairs. It's where I go with colleagues, friends and when I want to work on the go. You have to be aware of the two-hour parking limit, though.

Always good to support the museum and its coffee shop. Staff were great but help was needed as the queue had built up and cavalry were required!! Good coffee and busy with customers. Perhaps more food choices?

Cafe in the museum but you can visit without going to the museum. Serves food throughout museum opening hours. Sit surrounded by Derby china. Good selection of snacks and light lunches.

My Mum and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here. My Greek Horta salad was very good value for the size and the addition of mint was unusual and refreshing. My Mum had the Moroccan Hummus Sandwich which came with a generous portion of salad and some very nice 'kale-slaw'. The only slight negative point was that the bread was a little stale but overall, the ingredients were high quality. The tables are surrounded by cabinets of porcelain with information provided if you have an interest - it really is like dining in a museum! A lovely place to meet in the centre of town. We went on a Wednesday out of school holidays so the clientele was mainly friends catching up and businessmen having client meetings. I can understand why it is a venue cherished by many and why it has won awards.

A small but excellent cafe on the lower floor of the museum. Limited menu, but some hot meals, cakes, sandwiches, etc. Great coffee and free wifi.

The cafe at the Derby Museum and Art Gallery. Offers good lunches, soup, sandwiches with an enormous side salad, cakes and scones etc. Friendly staff. Lots of books that you can read if you are on a solo visit or enjoy the porcelain on display

This review is a general view and the reason why will become clear as you read on. It was quite busy on entering it is a nice area with display cabinets down the side, room is light and airey with tables well spaced out. However, a couple of things were not for me, it was so noisy, a child running around the tables and others banging things on the play table/area, I know it is school holidays, but come on parents keep control of your children. There were three members of staff "working" unfortunately they seemed oblivious to clearing tables when people had finished/left, you need to clean/turn the tables around for other customers. This was not an environment that I wanted to enjoy a drink/bite to eat in but I will give it another go at some stage in the future.

One of the best coffee houses I've ever been in. There are glass cases round the walls with beautiful derby porcelain figures. Seating is tables and leather sofas. There is a small table with a toy tea set for children. I had a cappuccino and shared a piece of Terry's Chocolate Orange cake with partner - big enough for two. Vey clean. They do lunches as well as tea and coffee. You walk through the foyer of the museum and it's on the left. It apparently won the Best Café at the Derby Food & Drink Awards 2016 and I'm not surprised. Recommended.
