Went here with my best friend for breakfast last minute before visiting Gunby Hall, Nov 13th 2024, wish we hadnt bothered, the service was poor, both staff on the day (think it was mother and daughter) were very unfriendly, no friendly chit chat, the place was cold, no music and the ambience was non - existent. and to top it all the food was very mediocre, the only saving grace was that a small breakfast only cost us £4.50, but needless to say we will not be returning To be honest the whole place could do with a complete refurbishment, looked very shabby and uncared for

Booked this venue for a birthday party. The venue is a pub and although I realised the room was to be used prior to our party, I was disappointed that the room wasn’t cleaned up for our party. We arranged food for sixty and only just had enough for the 30 guest we had come. The food we ordered was hot roast beef cobs, roast potatoes and a veggie option. We didn’t get the roast potatoes and the veggie option was burnt. The whole event cost £300.00 with the disco. It didn’t spoil our evening but I wouldn’t recommend it for a hot food buffet but I have been told that the cold sandwich buffets are good. All in all I feel the cost of the venue and food was expensive and of poor quality.

I've tried it twice since it's renaisance, and I'm sad to say how lifeless it is. A, real aehouse so close to the station is surely a 'No brainer'. Chuffer Knutters and real ale go hand in glove, however a venue bereft of atmosphere stands little chance. Unhappy employees radiate their discontentment to punters. I wish you every success in this new venture, unfortunately you will have to achieve your aims without my continued custom. Good luck.

turn the music down, nobody cares

We recently had a wonderful meal at The Wharf, and I must say it was a fantastic experience! We tried both the wharf classic burger and the linguini, and they were absolutely delicious. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the portions were just right. The staff was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're in the area, this place is worth a visit. We’ll be coming back for sure!

Liv was the most accommodating host we have had this evening, making it very enjoyable and kept the drink flowing! She’s a star!

Only knocked down a star because I struggle more to find beers I like over the summer as they switch to predominantly pale ales

The store was rather busy but Becca who was serving did a great job at managing the busy environment and tried her best to deliver a high service to the customers.

Nice clean pub, staff polite and friendly. The meal were reasonable, freshly cooked.

Recently visited this venue for the first time and it was excellent with great service and good value for money. I enjoyed catching up with a friend over a mixed grill which was extremely filling and well cooked. Nice decor inside and a large car park with plenty of spaces. Will definitely look to return.

Plenty of dining space, very busy during our visit but the staff / manager were attentive very efficient, one minor item missed from one of the plates but rectified quickly, great experience with reasonable prices. Called in for brunch (29/09/24), excellent service and the food was excellent quality and quantity with very competitive prices. 10/10 in every aspect.

Not a bad place to visit. Could do with a refresh. Foods not bad at all. It is what it is cheap and cheerful. Service was very good. Nice friendly staff. Food arrived quickly. The atmosphere isn’t fabulous but again it’s a cheap and cheerful place.
