Great service here, always a nice place, good coffee machines kept well serviced. Food is great, has never been an issue. Female loos are miles away (up two flights, down some others, round there, in there and come out at a mansion, typical spoons haha)

Overheard a guy called (i believe his name was Steve) being less than professional to a customer, berating her as he got an order wrong, It wasn't pleasant and ruined my dinning experience.

Great Wetherspoons pub. Spacious, excellent customer service, good ambience. Generally busy without feeling overcrowded, except at peak times occasionally. Fast service, never had any problems with the food. Accessible toilet at the back of the pub, always clean and open to use. Prices are great, and it’s located very centrally.

Friendly and competitive service and food. The menu has a vast selection of food and drink and great deals on both dependant upon what day it is. The menu displays lots of information and calories and allergen information is clearly visible. You can use their app to order food and drink and find out more nutritional information and advice.

Typical prices and always value for money. Food appeared 'smaller' than previous portions/meals in other Spoons. Not the typical Spoons venue, needs a bit of TLC

Cheap and lots of vegetarian options. Loved bangers and mash. Loo was a trek for elderly but clean when I got there. Thank you.

Very good spoons and a relaxing atmosphere

Vegetarian breakfast and hot drinks for £6.55. Most of the breakfast was warm/hot, but the eggs were overcooked, and the mushroom could have been cooked a little more.

The Sweyn Forkbeard has a wide range of beers lager and cider, including four hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales at very cheap prices. The cask ales we sampled were in excellent condition. The staff are friendly and welcoming the service was very quick despite the place being very busy. The food was very good. There is an outside seating area, and the pub is featured in the camra good beer guide.

A decent Wetherspoons in the heart of g-town. Good value food and drinks, what’s not to like?

Service stood at various for 10 minutes staff member looked at me and did not. Small children from the local gypsy site run around the place knocked down a table won't be going in there again minus 1 star rating

Very clean, fresh looking, would go again as only a half hour away. Waiters happy and smiling when they bring food out to you.

Helpful happy staff varied drinks

It’s a Wetherspoons so the food and drink are reasonably priced. We visited on the afternoon when England were playing later in the Euros so there were a few fans gathering to watch the game. Ordered via the app and drinks came very quickly and the food wasn’t far behind. Fish was a bit small but enough - just glad I didn’t order the small fish!! But is was well cooked and hot. My wife had a burger and that was very good All in all a nice meal and very reasonably priced. Staff were very nice and I would certainly go back.

Typical cheap and cheerful wetherspoons, good prices, we had one buttermilk chicken burger which was very nice and a double beefburger which was burnt. Will go again though. Free 1 hour parking then cheap enough after that.

It’s a Wetherspoon’s pub, you get exactly what you see. Food is relatively cheap, drinks are cheap and staff were polite.

Returned begrudging some time later and was reasonably surprised. Some investment and the litter of pigs had been replaced by contented customers. No longer were cattle welcomed and instead friendly staff fulfilled orders without the sinister undertones of years gone by. Fair play, the pub is now not a chore to visit and you no longer need a shower when you get home. The food is fine and the atmosphere much improved.

Been in tonight,which supposed to be St georges day,and not a flag or anything in sight!!! Absolutely disgusting! When it's st Patrick's day,there's flags ,Irish beers,but nothing for England!!! Where's the patriotic spirit?

There are alot better Wetherspoons than this one. Very dirty and when asked for my table to be wiped it wasn't done well and we stuck to the table. Queue at the bar with one staff member serving whilst the remaining staff were talking about shift patterns loudly. Customer service needs big attention as does cleanliness.

It's a Wetherspoons. And it's in Gainsborough. So cheaper booze, basic food and all day drunks aplenty.

This place really really needs refurbishing!! The tables were also full of empty plates we struggled to find an empty one. The food has really gone down hill which is a shame! I don't go too often but I'd say for nearly a year now the food isn't great, most cold and a big let down. Such a shame

It’s a weatherspoons. Good value, decent food, cheap beer, some are better than other with service. This is better.

Absolutely ridiculous. Lone dinner who leaves the table to use the toilet while eating. Only to return to find their food taken away. When complaints about it are made you are simply told that it's okay, I've not binned it,it's just throw there next to the bin

Nice wetherspoons near the centre of Gainsborough, not far from Gainsborough old hall, car park just behind it, free on Sundays but pay midweek. Nice selection of real ales and as usual, value for money food.

We had 2 full English breakfasts and cost £14.80 plus 2 coffees at extra price not bad prices for 2 but would like hot food for that and how embarrassing to serve on chipped/cracked plates, always dirty tables too, shame it used to be lovely in here, no service with a smile either.

Went in for breakfast and a read of the Sunday papers. Breakfast worth the money and free coffee re-fills

After a quite nice meal, hence the two stars, I approached the bar to order desserts. I asked if any desserts were dairy free classed as vegan, I was told no, no desserts were dairy free and told to go look at the allergen board if I needed to know more. I soon found that the apple crumble was dairy free if ordered without ice cream. Apple crumble arrived complete with ice cream, I said I wanted it without ice cream and was told the ice cream was vegan. I asked if it was soya and defiantly dairy free and were they sure , to which the server told me it was, Next the server arrived to show me on the menu that it said it was vegetarian, I then explained the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Oh she said and after assuring me it was dairy free relished it want and took it away. When my ice cream free dessert eventually arrived, I told the server what had happened and that staff need training on allergies. Sorry bout that he said and left. End of conversation! Wetherspoon train your staff !

Food was spot on went for 16 days straight after work. Staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was great.

This is a great Wetherspoons, it's always relaxed food is good and arrives fast.

First visit for a while and went with friends. We all enjoyed our meals, service was cheerful and efficient and the premises clean and tidy with a bright atmosphere thanks to the large windows not a feature in other Spoons we have visited. Food and drink were good quality, tasty and good value. What more could you want.

This was a fantastic pub to go drinking at, with a beautiful design contributed by the flashy counter! The blue colouring is nice, lighting is pretty and staff were friendly. Me and my friend enjoyed a Kopparberg cocktail, sat comfortably at a clean table!

This place gets worse!Food is disgusting now, had curry with chips,10 in total,rationing? Standard of food is getting worse,and hygiene standards have deteriorated. Getting to be a bad wetherspoons to go to.
