The Ram Inn in Nottingham

1st time going here today. We went for lunch as one of our cars was having a m o t next door. The started was the nachos for 2 I wasn't inpressed looked good but the nachos tasted old not fresh at all unfortunately 😒 For the main I had a chicken & bacon salad I added extra hallomui it was fantastic tasted great I did add light mayonnaise the dressing was lovely I would have this again. My other half had fish and double chips 🍟 he enjoyed this with mushy peas and we had coke to drink .Unfortunately we dident have time for a dessert 🍨

Lovely vegan ribs served with beautiful veg and roast potatoes, as well as other plan-based options. Knowledgable & friendly staff, great prices.

No traditional PUB Sunday roasts. What's that about ????

I used to eat here at least once a week with my family. Sometimes twice. Then have after work drinks on occasion with colleagues. But unfortunately I’ll now never return. I received a letter from debt collection agency last week saying I owe £155 from parking here 2.5 years ago! (Even though it’s a free car park). It’s the first Ive ever heard of a fine. I haven’t received any communications before this. But apparently they were sent ‘in good faith’ and now the fine has gone up! I tried to appeal of course, but it’s clearly not worth my time. Just have to pay it and move on. It’s a shame, because the Ram have lost a good customer now. Ironically, they’ve earned far more out of me than the ridiculous £155 I’ve just paid, and they would have continued to earn more out me as a customer for many many years to come. But that’s been spoiled now. I can imagine they’ll lose a lot of customers this way if they receive a similar experience. The risk of getting a fine when you just want a quite casual meal is too much of a risk for people to consider eating here. And there’s plenty of other choices in direct competition with The Ram. Remember, I may only be one person, so easy to ignore me - But I represent a greater problem your business will face going forward. Best of luck.

Nice pub. Great staff, food is fairly standard chain pub fare but you get what you pay for. Drinks are very reasonable, don't know about soft drinks but coffee and alcoholic drinks great prices

Brilliant value for money great staff however I had hunters chicken which is not sizzling anymore not very nice at a

I have tried rump and sirloin. I think sirloin is a bit chewy, and rump is better. Also tried Chicken Tikka Masala. It was yummy! With the Sizzling apps, I always get free beer or drinks. Service is VERY VERY GOOD! Will return again and again.

Food terrible, lasagna had no cheese sauce or cheese topping garlicbreadto hard to eat. Chicken platter all tasted the same as if cooked in the same pan. Service was excellent and staff friendly. Just food let them down badly

Just been again for my birthday tea, never yet had a bad meal here, staff are always friendly and helpful, food is great and so reasonable. Not our local but always our first choice, don't mind traveling a few miles when you know the food and service are good. Nice to see new and different veg/vegan options too instead of the usual Mac n cheese or beetroot burger, only sad thing is the beyond burger has gone 😭 vegan ribs are good tho as are the boss burger and the giant gyros! Not a bad place to visit. Could do with a refresh. Foods not bad at all. It is what it is cheap and cheerful. Service was very good. Nice friendly staff. Food arrived quickly. The atmosphere isn’t fabulous but again it’s a cheap and cheerful place.

A really nice pub with real fire, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Very family friendly. Food is excellent value for money there are good offers on the menu and via the Sizzling Pubs app with free drinks offers. Food was tasty and good portion size. If parking in the car park you must enter your car reg on the tablets on the bar. Would definitely recommend and return.

Steak was very fatty and for the price was not big enough

My local pub Drinks - 5* reasonably priced, lots of variety for everyone Food - 3* very cheap £, which does mean smaller portion sizes (you can upgrade). The quality differs day to day massively. Some days it’s excellent and others can be poor. I’ve sent my food order back to the kitchen a few times. Needs more consistency with the quality.

Easy to order, excellent service, food was great, and very reasonably priced, children were welcome.

The food was just okay for us. Out of the four of us, only one really liked their meal. The rest thought it was just average. But the desserts were fantastic. We'll probably come back just for those.

Service - very good Prices - excellent value, especially with 40% discount on main courses. Environment - table sticky, condiments dirty, evidence of food splatter on the walls. Booking experience - booked table for party of 3 4pm - 5.45pm. On arrival was informed table was required by 5.30pm. Was asked to vacate table at exactly 5.30pm so felt rushed.

Beautiful food, polite and helpful staff, catered for really well especially with our large booking of 22 plus people. Food came out all together nobody left waiting. Good pricing of food and drinks too.

Second time going and still great food with a new menu Last time I went they had coca cola on pump but now got Pepsi so that's the only negative of the experience I know they had it in bottles but it's normally the silly going price for em like everywhere else But its a lovely place getting in and out car park can be a pain but overall a lovely place

All 9 of us enjoyed the food and we had quite a variety of dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful as always. Nothing to complain about, thank you.

Pooped in on the way home with the grandkids. Good selection of food and kids got burgers tailored to their liking. Beef Rib was very tasty. Will definitely return

The food was quite nice but, I felt the portion size of the Beef Rib and the Boneless Southern Fried Chicken was on the small size. The Tandoori chicken was better value. The decor looks tired with sellotape still on the ceiling from last Christmas's decorations. There was a wait of at least 30 mins before the food arrived at the table.

The cook made me an exquisite mixed grill. Absolutely amazing. Can’t fault it!

Very quite and spacious, lovely staff, wait times for food are quite long to say it’s not very busy in here but worth it for the food quality, few mishaps with the wrong items being brought out and desserts that are supposed to be warm are cold and cold desserts are melted and warm, the main meal was great quality the first visit on the 10th march 2024 but todays meals where a little bit off with things missing or different items than described on menu but overall it’s great prices for mains and usually great quality

Regularly come here, good food and service, all staff are friendly and welcoming. Adam helped us with a problem on the app which wasn’t letting us order our food, he went above and beyond to help sort the problem out, can’t thank him enough for his help!

We had a meal for my mother and father in laws 69th wedding anniversary there was 24 of us and in was great with great food and good staff thank you very much we enjoyed it.

Third time lucky! We had purchased a Groupon voucher but due to an error at Groupons end,it wouldn't work. Finally sorted on the third visit. First time we have visited since it's become a Sizzler Pub. It used to be our goto pub under previous ownership. Service was fast and friendly , food very hot and fresh, ambience decent, looks clean. Downside is, there are very limited starter and pudding options. Also the parking slots are very tight and if you need to use the disabled parking it's in a less lit part of the carpark. If you enjoy sizzling plates then you will love this place but personally I prefer the previous offering.

A very busy and popular local pub. We thought we’d give it a try as we drive past it often. Friendly greeting at the bar and we ordered our food on an app at the table. Didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive either. Nothing bad to say, just not a pub to our taste and style - plenty of families with young children visiting when we were there.

Always a lovely visit, great staff, great food and great service.

Groupon deal, ordered food, then was told at check out that groupon hadn’t worked since December (yet only ordered groupon on jan 11th) should not be promoted deal. So £37 bill instead of £18. The dining area was cold, the food was cold, though the staff were very nice. Not great at the ram Nottingham

The food was so cold I got hypothermia and I do not recommend the mixed grill due to the stake being under cooked

Good selection and good service

We went as a group. It was fairly early in the evening so there were plenty of tables to choose from as to where to sit. We only had drinks.

Nice atmosphere. Good range of food and drink. Didn't eat there, so can't rate the food. Beware, you have to register your car at the bar to avoid a parking fine.

Was really happy that all the food came out one time and was hot and no mix up with the orders although we all ordered at different times. There was 17 of us. Only problem we had was when we asked for the cakes to be bought out it did take about 20 minutes. Do appreciate however that they had orher people to serve. Will definitely visit again

Fancied a try at this pub today for a early lunch with the better half,reasonably priced,service was good However the food wasn't great in any aspect. We orderd 1 x BLT lite bite wrap & 1x clucking hot stack burger ( you'd think this was spicy hence the name. ) the salad looked dead,very old,some parts of the chicken fillets were cold. The breaded buns look like what you'd buy for a BBQ cheap. The BLT wrap looked great in appearance but the looks were definitely deceiving. The wrap was literally dripping grease onto the chips when trying to eat it. Meant have mayo onit and the grease overwhelmed the mayo and basically just turned it into white grease dripping. Wouldn't come back for food any time soon. Overall the food wasn't great

I was there for a post family funeral. Good beers (try the Doom Bar) food was good too. Make sure you log your car reg on the bar tablets though. The car park is covered by Euro Parks, they will serve you a ticket if you don’t register your car..

I met a couple of friends here and I must admit I haven't been for years. As it was lunchtime it wasn't too busy. It's a great idea to give your car registration as you walk in to secure a parking space. The beefburger and chips were delicious and a soft drink was included in the price. Very good value. The staff were extremely friendly which makes the experience so much better. I will certainly return.

The service was great and the tables were all very clean but the food was very sub standard. My husband had the skewers and his skillet was full of fluid from his vegetables which left everything all soft and sloppy. My food was ok but was a little disappointed to find that everything was frozen and nothing fresh, it would have been great for some homemade chips and some beer battered onion rings or something similar, even the mushrooms were tinned. I have to say however that our starters were absolutely bang on.

Beware of the parking cameras. You can't see them. And you end up with a £85 fine.

I was after Wetherspoons alternative, this is not. Food is bellow satisfactory. Might be OK for sports, but not worth a family budget dinner.

Had A lovely Family Meal Here Few Days Ago, Food Was very Good only thing was The Steak Was very very gristly, drinks was Good And It Was Nice And Quite, polite and friendly Staff and love the car registration tablet made things so much easier..

The manager was nice. But it was so busy, people were staring. Was very crammed. I had a table facing the wall. Where a kid was just staring at me and family whispering. Luckily they left but was uncomfortable to sit at the table. I moved the seat. Food wasn't great. Chewy steak. Small mushrooms. Waitress seemed bothered when i asked for sauce. Took so long thought she wouldn't come back. Also 40% is on a normal steak meal no sauce meant it was extra but its ok. Discount helped.

On this occasion I was waiting a good 25min for a lunch I had ordered for me and my two grandchildren. The meal was very nice once arrived. We then waited for our dessert, waited and waited. No one came to clear the table as done previous times I had visited. I asked the lady with the white short hair how long dessert would be? She looked surprised and asked if we had ordered one which I said I had on arrival. She then said " well you didn't tell us you were ready"? I said I didn't know I had to? We then waited another 15 mins and the dessert finally came. The lady again said it was because I didn't let her know I was ready. I said the last time I came the man came to clear the table and asked if we were ready for dessert so I assumed it would be the same. I have never been anywhere where you have to get up, go to the bar and say I'm ready for dessert now? I'm sure this is not their policy but were there on a day where they forgot our dessert. It is a lovely pub and the meals are nice. Just a one off experience waiting when the kids were hungry and moaning.

(Referring to a Groupon I purchased) the staff 0 the food 0 and atmosphere 0. The food was quite obviously out of the freezer. I wouldn’t recommend this place. We travelled quite a distance to go here and it wasn’t great.

I booked our table through a Groupon voucher and can honestly say how Impressive the service on arrival was and the ease of using the voucher. And to too it the Food was Excellent and Service Friendly & Efficient

On our way home from a disastrous ‘event’, we called in to the pub next door hoping to grab a bite to eat. Upon enquiry with regard to lunch, the staff kindly and courteously advised us that they didn’t serve food but to go ‘next door’ to the Ram Inn. And allowed us to leave our car in their car park. What a treat we had. The Hunters Chicken was absolutely delicious, fresh, spicy and the chips were spot on. The pub was clean, the ladies loos immaculate , and the staff efficient and friendly. Unfortunately, we do live a fair distance away, otherwise I’m sure we’d return to scoff more of their menu items. Recommend highly for the above reasons.

Ordered a medium rare and medium steak and they were both blitzed with absolutely no seasoning. We weren’t asked if the food was okay despite their being barely any customers in. Possibly the worse pub food I’ve had in a long time.

It was alright here. It was friendly enough and the staff where friendly too. Wasn't many options at all for vegan and non that was interesting enough to want to eat them. You had to go through the normal menu and try find the few items that was vegan for your self.

Love the food here. Will go back again.
