Run by the Salvation Army the cafe sits near the olympic cycle track. There are tables inside and some comfy sofas though there's no air conditioning so it can get very warm indoors. Wooden picnic tables outside have plenty of options for families with children and dog walkers. The menu is very limited, basically hot and cold drinks, breakfast rolls with a choice of bacon or sausage, pies, pasties, chips, sausage rolls, sandwiches and some pastries. The breakfast bundle is good value at £5 for a breakfast roll and any hot drink. The service is extremely slow but as there's only one pay serving and pay point it's down to the speed of the staff and the amount people are ordering. Between our party we had a steak pasty, a vegetarian pasty, chips and sausage in a roll. The pasties are a good size, chips were plentiful and there were two sausages in the bread roll. Pretty good value and everything tasted very good. I noticed a flyer advertising live music on some evenings with a £2 donation entry fee. I'd happily visit again as we weren't in a rush and enjoyed the lovely sunshine with our food and drinks. The coffee options were good quality.

Stopped for a quick lunch on way home from holiday. Ordered salad because menu said it included radish, which I am particularly keen on. Mentioned to waitress (counter service has ceased, presumably because of Covid!) that I wanted radish. However, there was no radish in the salad. The waitress did not come back to the table after serving the meal to ask if everythin was all right so after finishing the meal I went up to the food preparation area to ask whether they actually had radish. Yes, they did have radish! So why does this restaurant (in common with other restaurants so I have found) feel it acceptable to leave out ingredients specified on the menu). Is it laziness or what?

Is this even a Starbucks? Not a smile....Warmth interaction or even a Starbucks looking shop. Shop looks actually empty. Like an office seating area. 0 Starbucks feeling and atmosphere. Except for the merchandising wall. Staff: I swear I didn't see anyone smiling. Everyone bland or chattering away. Only one serving. I can see other people here have shared the same experience as me. I suppose the managers, took one of biggest high up tables and were doing their paperwork there, which I personally found not very pleasant whatsoever and unprofessional. She also looked at me with the weirdest rude face. This is a very busy area, with loads of take away and drive thru requests, I get it. However, if you want to call yourselves Starbucks, I advise you to have more training, more research and even go to a proper Starbucks to see how the customer service is. Complaint is going to the head office.

Staff on the bar were lovely but please avoid the food. Ordered what we thought would be a restaurant meal and we got food in a takeaway box plonked in front of us with no one telling us were cutlery etc was. Chips were stone cold and disgusting. You pay restaurant prices and get yesterday's left overs.

I'm hoping this newish and over puffed up store isn't a template for M&S around the country...It feels VERY cramped and dark, especially as the old Church Street store was pretty big....Anyway usually head for coffee and some brekkie treats on early retail therapy...the cafe in Liverpool was invisible and had to ask one of the staff....it was tucked away in a corner and I swear, I've seen bigger garden sheds...I almost chortled! Not a great food offering, got a coffee only, sat in a corner - unpleasant as the table was covered in litter and was behind a sizeable queue for the toilet...Later joined the queue...only ONE unisex/disabled/ baby changing toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waited ages...lady in the queue recommended nipping to the loos in John Lewis... Cut to the shopping...menswear not bad...but lots of people milling around the changing rooms...thought they were waiting for loved ones...but as I moved past them an employee off handly snapped 'we have a queue here you know'...dear God, anyway put my items back...will be sticking to my local Manchester M&S in future...this one is abysmal...SHAME M&S, what has happened to your famous customer service? Hope someone reads this, should complain but from what I've read on here...nothing will happen!

We often eat here when we come shopping and usually it’s fairly good but this evening when we asked if the steak pie had onions in no one not even kitchen staff knew which i found unacceptable as cooks should know what’s in there food regardless of whether they buy the products in or not.

Very bad experience, staff did,t allow me to enter when asked the reason they said cause of shoes, I changed the shoes and went again but again was declined with no reason. They seem to be declining people based on their race. I would say racist staff and club.would not recommend.

I visited for lunch with my son and mother. Struggled to find a clean table. Limited cutlery and most tables needed cleaning. Eventually when the food arrived it was only just warm and my sons fish was thick batter, curled up and hardly any fish. When we asked for it to be changed we were told that the cook had stated they would fry another but it would be exactly the same? Terrible value for money and awful customer service.will not even be shopping here again let alone eating!

If you’re polite everyone’s polite, I was just double checking my change had a coffee shop and saw 33 bad reviews and remembered I’d been here several times, never experienced the appalling service and coffee people complain about, it’s a train station coffee it’s not that deep and and not an insane price it’s a heaven send on a bad day when your train drive past you just enjoy it please chill and respect people that serve you. Thanks for the coffee
