I told you you’d be skint by Christmas. Next time your dad throws tens of thousands at you for a business at least have the brains to not treat your punters like they’re not welcome. Also, there’s a time and a place for flirting with each other fellas.

Came here with a colleague in our lunch break. It wasn’t busy at the time. The bagels were adequate but I was shocked and appalled by the management. We sat and enjoyed our bagels whilst the two older male mangers interrogated and ridiculed a younger female staff member as to why she was late into work. I was surprised that not only were they having this conversation on the shop flaw but that they would speak to their members of staff like this at all. If I could give it zero I would.

Tried twice now, staff are just arrogant. Tried one last time last Tuesday. Closed. Skint by Christmas and it’s their own fault.

We decided to visit this establishment for a spot of lunch. Been wanting to come here for a while. I have to say, my wife and I were very disappointed with the food. For the price they charge, you really didn't get value for money. My wife ordered a Ruben and I ordered the Chicken schnitzel. My bagel was small, the chicken was a tiny piece and barely any sauce was added for flavour. Same for my wife, the bagel was small and the filling wasn't much. Staff were pleasant enough but unfortunately, we will not be returning again. Such a shame!

Really nice bagel. Couple of blokes playing grab arse with each other making you feel like they were doing you a favour by letting you order didn’t help. Get a room perhaps?

We popped in on a whim to get something to eat, having found ourselves on the hughstreet in Colchester. A lovely little lad suggested what I should go for and my other half went for a beef version and mine was chicken- I believe they were shietntzels or something like that. Well whatever they were they tasted absolutely divine.

Thought that I would try this newly open Bagel shop and I’m glad I did. It is a large airy building decorated with images of the old east end. Having ordered a Reuben I ate in in the nearby park. My god, it was delicious! I’ve had bagels before but this was on another level! Highly recommended

Horrible experience, the inside was incredibly dirty, food all over the floor and service was absolutely appalling, we were served by Abbie who was extremely rude and very clearly didn’t want to be there!

Fantastic. The building is full of character and boasts one of the most charming interiors of any weatherspoons. Be sure to look out from the stage area and see how many famous faces you can name. Good prices, and decent staff. The kitchen is usually pretty quick, but can be hit and miss with the porridge and rhamen bowl (bit too much water). That aside, very good place, and always busy.

I have been in this Wagas about six times since it opened. Of those six visits, three times I was told they didn't have the ingredients to make my favourite dish, the 72, Katsu curry (including on my most recent visit on the 24th of March.) They maybe lying and it is a staffing issue, not sure. Never had this issue at any other Wagas though, which is why I mention it here. Clearly it is not managed as well as it should be.

Sadly this restaurant has really declined. It used to be somewhere we’d go frequently, but following a recent visit for a table of 5 adults and 4 children, we won’t be returning. We waited an hour for the food to arrive. It came out cold. The rib-eye steak we ordered as a medium was more than well done! The manager was rude, didn’t apologise or follow up when we told her. Service needs a huge improvement.

We met some old friends for a drink and food at the Kings Arms in Crouch street. The pub itself is very pleasant and the staff were very pleasant as well. We decided to order food. I ordered the Scampi at £15 and the ladies each ordered the grilled cheese which was £10.at that price I was expecting a really exceptional Grilled Cheeses with artisan bread and great cheese and a nice side salad. Describes as “ A medley of mature cheddar cheese and emmentsl with bechemel sauce in a toasted farmhouse loaf”….What they actually received was beyond appalling, 2 slices of processed white bread with a slice of plastic processed cheese no obvious sauce and a small bland salad.. I’ve had similar cheap toasties before , typically paying £2.50-£3 but to charge £30 for these sandwiches is nothing short of criminal. The scampi came with 13 chips and 7 normal pieces of scampi and 3 tiny pieces that were 90% breadcrumbs. Compared to other local pubs such as the Princess Charlotte this was similar to the “light version”. I would never recommend eating at this pub although as a drinking hole it’s very pleasant .
