Stopped for a quick lunch on way home from holiday. Ordered salad because menu said it included radish, which I am particularly keen on. Mentioned to waitress (counter service has ceased, presumably because of Covid!) that I wanted radish. However, there was no radish in the salad. The waitress did not come back to the table after serving the meal to ask if everythin was all right so after finishing the meal I went up to the food preparation area to ask whether they actually had radish. Yes, they did have radish! So why does this restaurant (in common with other restaurants so I have found) feel it acceptable to leave out ingredients specified on the menu). Is it laziness or what?

10 quid for fish n chips. Batter couldn’t be worse if the tried sooo dry. Chips were so over cooked they didn’t taste of potatoes. Avoid

We have been regular visitors to Squires Cafe in Cobham but have noticed how bad the service and food has become over the last year. Today we visited and were served cold bacon sandwiches and a chicken wrap with a hair present! When I complained about the food the staff didn’t even apologise! We will not be eating here again!

This cafe is part of the Squires garden centre. It is OK but nothing out of the ordinary. Order at the counter. Sandwiches and some coked meals but rather limited.

A very average Garden Centre Cafe. buy at the counter. There is a limited selection of sandwiches, Light Bites, Salads and some hot dishes. It you are visiting the garden centre and want a reasonably priced light lunch then this might well suit you.

The lady in the till wasn't very nice. After telling us they run out of pasta and chicken, she gets upset because we didn't think in a second option straight away and took us an extra minute to order an alternative. We just ate here because it was already late for the kids, we assume the food is not great but at least we expect a good service to compensate the quality. And btw, how can they run out of anything being a supermarket?????

Nice and tasty food. Great for a quick break while shopping 🛍. Quite expensive for my liking but food is good 👍.

Lovely traditional pub but with the added bonus of fabulous Turkish kebab served in the garden. What a fabulous surprise that this hidden gem was tucked away at the back there.

Exceptional Service with a Warm Smile. I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Tilly at The Bear in Esher, and I just had to share my wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm smile and friendly attitude. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, offering great recommendations and checking in just the right amount—attentive but never intrusive. What truly stood out was her genuine kindness and the way she made our meal feel special. It’s rare to come across someone who not only does their job well but truly enjoys making others feel at home. Tilly, thank you for your amazing service! You made our visit so much more enjoyable, and we’ll definitely be back because of you. If you ever visit The Bear in Esher, I highly recommend asking for Tilly — she’s a gem!
