Run by the Salvation Army the cafe sits near the olympic cycle track. There are tables inside and some comfy sofas though there's no air conditioning so it can get very warm indoors. Wooden picnic tables outside have plenty of options for families with children and dog walkers. The menu is very limited, basically hot and cold drinks, breakfast rolls with a choice of bacon or sausage, pies, pasties, chips, sausage rolls, sandwiches and some pastries. The breakfast bundle is good value at £5 for a breakfast roll and any hot drink. The service is extremely slow but as there's only one pay serving and pay point it's down to the speed of the staff and the amount people are ordering. Between our party we had a steak pasty, a vegetarian pasty, chips and sausage in a roll. The pasties are a good size, chips were plentiful and there were two sausages in the bread roll. Pretty good value and everything tasted very good. I noticed a flyer advertising live music on some evenings with a £2 donation entry fee. I'd happily visit again as we weren't in a rush and enjoyed the lovely sunshine with our food and drinks. The coffee options were good quality.

Not a pleasant experience, only wanted coffee for our friend and water for myself and my Aunt, .was informed does not accept cash 🤬 a choice of payment would be nice. the excuse of no bank in Hadleigh is pathetic, Leigh is only up the road

Such slow service! I swear that I have to confirm my order 2-3 times on every visit, which is ridiculous as I’m only ordering a coffee; “Black Americano”, I’ll say … I’ll be quoted a price and handed a PDQ terminal to make payment and in that short period the server has invariably forgotten my single item order! Server: “Was it tea or coffee?” .,, Me: “Coffee” … Server: “Black or white?” Me: (Thinking to myself Well what did you just charge me for?!) but politely, with a bit of impatience in my tone ..”Black Americano” Server: “Oh, OK” ( the coffee is served but before handing it over they ask “Do you want milk in that?” …!!!!!! This is NOT a one off incident and if there were any alternative vendors close by I would not return but until then I will live in hope of some improvement and try to learn some patience.

Took my kids to Hadleigh park thought I would stop on the hub cafe supporting local buissness went to pay only to be told card only every other buissness in the area are takeing cash payment again apart from this business which is quite poor as my children fancying a snack lucky enough I had drinks with me or they would be thirsty due to the heat this needs looking at now or a lot of buissness will be lost and a lot of left over food for the bins.

Love this place, I’m a regular customer. Good food, sweet potato falafel salads are excellent and chips are superb. Good selection, lovely homemade soup for my vegan daughter. Staff are friendly and always give my dog a free tennis ball. There’s even clean towels to dry them off after a wet walk. Good Covid procedures. Would recommend.

I had a really wonderful meal at the White Hart Pub, Thundersley. Jack and Dawn were amazing and gave us great service. We had halloumi skewers and Tandoori skewers with fries and we highly recommend it. We love this pub, it is so relaxed and happy.

We rented Mason Noir for an event, and they were wonderful. Maxine was so helpful and responsive and made our event absolutely perfect. The cakes and sandwiches were delicious and super fresh and there was loads of tea, coffee, Prosecco and soft drinks to go with it all. We’ve also been here for lunch before and it was an excellent experience then too!

If you were on holiday you would love to find a place like this, and it’s just down the road, a lovely quirky place and highly recommended. Cash only though which is fine just be prepared. As someone from the seventies I feel right at home !.
