I LOVE the Jack Daw, visiting whenever I'm in the area. It's such a great, friendly, local pub - a nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, friendly service, traditional pub decor, really good selection of (Tadcaster, of course) beers, AMAZING food and great value! The food is really exceptional - the landlord takes real pride in serving good quality, tasty meat/ fish/ veg, very generous portions, quickly brought to your table with a smile. There's also a separate room with a pool table and a nice outside area. As well as activities/ events throughout the week (Bingo Tuesday anyone?! Live music?) If you're anywhere near Tadcaster, this is THE pub to visit. Everyone's welcome here - children, grandparents, even (well behaved) dogs. Come and experience a true taste of Yorkshire!

Delicious meal the chef is outstanding. Excellent thoughtful service, lovely pub. Thoroughly recommended.

Our party of nine walkers enjoyed a great lunch,Sandwiches came with a lovely salad.The staff were vey welcoming with great service, We can see why this pub is rated number one.

Excellent food and service. Food was hot and lovely to eat. Staff attentive, clean tables. Asked if everything was okay, would definitely visit again.

A bit out if the way , but well worth a visit

Called in for a coffee which was a bit cold tbh However the Brownies looked amazing so took a box home and yes got to give a 10 out of 10 lovely brownies :) taste home made and are delicious a great texture etc

Ok only one star as maybe I'm just not a fan of Persian food but my friend who I was accompanying and does, also tasted mine and didn't like it either. The deep fried falafel was over cooked and dry and tasteless. The service was basic and he seemed quite aloof. On the plus side the toilet area was very clean. Only us and two other couples but doesn't surprise me. The other Persian restaurant was full and very busy. Speaks for itself.

Lovely little cafe. Nice decor. Good service. Enjoyed my chai latte, milkshake (crunchie) and latte. Shame don't live closer as would become a regular. Will make a point of coming back. Is like an American diner. Excellent experience.

Burger and chips aren't that good. Beef is very poor quality and similar to every other Turkish cafe. They all must buy from the same supplier. It's a shame they can't make their own burgers from scratch???!! It just amazes me when Turkish are all about fresh food and not frozen. Come on guys!!! Chips were re-fried and not the best either. A bit stale and oily. Friendly staff and good location.

Lovely homemade scones and in a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty on street parking nearby.
