I had some time to kill so popped in for some breakfast and a coffee. The service was superb - friendly and welcoming - and the food and coffee were great. It was a delightful surprise and I highly recommend.

Googled breakfast places in Watford, my home town, saw the reviews and gave it a go. Honestly, been a while since I had such a fresh breakfast, in terms of food quality. The service was fantastic and the establishment impeccably clean and cosy. Wonderful community establishment. If you are passing by, do drop in for a meal as you won't be disappointed.

Delicious breakfast and great service

Highly impressed with the food and freshly squeezed orange juice! They have a poster as you come in saying “The best breakfast in Watford” - I think I believe them!

Lovely little spot on the St Albans Road for some breakfast or lunch. An excellent array of cakes and pastries and a lovely lunch menu as well. The staff are all extremely friendly and it has a really community feel to the place. Food was brilliant, as was the service!

This was such a great choice for breakfast. The owners are wonderful people, we had a nice chat and the food was delicious. I didn't met in London (Watford) more friendly people! Definitely worth a visit! Also they made catering for Harry Potter movies ⚡️

We have never really come out for breakfast before, but I’m so glad we did today! Full English breakfast, was one of the best ones we ever had! Everything tastes so fresh and the service is just amazing. If you ever in need of good food, you have to come here! Amazing :))

Such friendly service and wide choice of very reasonably priced food to suit all the different tastes of our family! The children were particularly excited to find out the chef had baked cakes used in the Harry Potter Films. Next time we would stay to sample the baking ourselves! This was our first experience of England since landing, and I have got to say this was amazing. The aesthetic was cozy, the food/drink was amazing, and every person was incredibly nice and welcoming. If you are local, you probably already know this place, if visiting, this is a must.

One of the best coffees I've ever had here, the price was very good, there was a lot of food and I can't even point out that it was bad because there was nothing left of the dishes that were ordered

If I remember correctly I had a sausage egg and bacon cob and WOW!!!! The best I’ve ever had and that’s coming from someone who orders the same from different cafes up and down the country highly recommend! Let alone the staff are friendly and kind!

Yesterday, I went for a brunch with my daughter, who'd told me about how lovely the owners were here, and having walked past so many times on my travels I'm so glad we did. The whole experience was very enjoyable. The couple who run it are so warm and welcoming and attentive to your needs are just very friendly, natural people that help you feel so comfortable. The food was delicious and of generous portions. I was upset not to have been able to enjoy any more of their culinary delights as they had plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy a relaxing, home from home atmosphere and good service and food. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely place, excellent food and lovely people. Cakes are to die for as is the cooked breakfasts and breads. Did the cakes for the harry potter sets and you can see why. A definite must if your in the area

Amazing food and great owners! I had the vegetarian breakfast (scrambled eggs, hash browns, veg sausage, mushrooms, toast, beans) and the food was outstanding. It arrived within minutes and was piping hot (clearly freshly made). Would definitely recommend to others!

I've been coming here for about 14 years, I've done a review before, just after it was refurbished. I still think it's the best place to get a bacon sandwich in Watford. However they offer some much more, the coffee is great, the choice of cakes is fantastic. The range of quality food available is amazing for a small Independent shop. It's always clean and the staff are friendly and hard working, if you get in early it's not too busy. When you leave you can take a real loaf of bread or a selection of rolls. The price is very reasonable for the quality of products on offer and the seating is comfortable. Always ask what they have because they cook their own food for lunch. It's my favourite place to eat out for breakfast or lunch in Watford. I can't recommend it too highly.

Whenever I come here it’s the highlight of my day! The food is so delicious and it arrives so fast at the table, whatever drink i had was so so good! It’s a family owned business and the owners are so lovely and friendly! First time I arrived I was a little shy to come in and just ask for something so I tried to make up my mind before but the lady was so welcoming and explained everything to me and helped me choose something to get.

What a wonderful experience, meeting Lynn and her husband! The breakfast was outstanding. My eggs were poached to the most perfect consistency and the bacon was delicious. Lynn's pastries look amazing. I wish we had more time to visit multiple times while we were in the area. Lynn was so pleasant and took the time to have a lovely conversation with us. If you go, tell her Justin & family from Washington, DC recommended her!

Lovely food and atmosphere, Barry was very welcoming and as a local small business owner myself I understand how important good service and a friendly atmosphere is, I brought my team in for breakfast and we had no complaints at all! I will 100% be coming back to Eat &Treats again, highly recommend 👌

Took my Mum and Dad here yesterday for an afternoon tea. We rang to book that morning and Lynn still made us a really lovely tea - one of the best I've ever had. Delicious home made flaky pastry cakes, cream scone, sandwiches AND Eton Mess. Lovely friendly atmosphere too - I'd really recommend it.

We came for brunch before our Harry Potter Studio Tour with my partner. The welcome is super friendly, the food excellent, with a vegetarian plate option. And the manager made cakes for the film, so it's a little immersive before going to visit the HP studio. We had a carrot cake to take away! THANKS !

Really lovely English breakfast. Good ‘dippy’ fried eggs, decent quality bacon and sausages, lovely baked beans and toast too. Also very good coffee. Staff were very lovely too. Very friendly. Had a nice chat with them. Good value and good service. Highly recommended.

A truly excellent place for breakfast. We were delighted to find Eats and Treats. Proper orange juice, fine Full English and good coffee with great service and a joyful atmosphere.

Lovely friendly old school atmosphire! Love the Sausages and the Bacon. I dont know any other cafe in watford that does proper sausages and bacon. You can taste it is local and straight from the butcher!

What a scrumptious breakfast! We had an egg roll, scrambled egg on toast and a hash brown, and they were all cooked to perfection. Service was exceptional too, and enjoyed listening to the story about how the infamous cake from Harry Potter was baked by the owner, Barry. Thanks again.

Incredibly tasty food all made in-house! Can totally see why they provide catering for Glatonbury backstage!! Had the best coronation chicken sandwich I think I’ve ever tasted, the owner Barry tells me its because they roast their chicken and don’t steam it! Flavour town! Will be eating there again for sure!

Had a great breakfast here, lovely sausages and fried toast among other things, nice friendly staff and plenty of space. Also tried the millionaire shortbread which was very tasty.

The owner and the staff were very friendly and nice. They seemed to get along well, and was super interesting to watch them interact, it’s like you went to eat at your Aunts place. They did get our order wrong but it was quickly rectified!

Stopped by for breakfast after a red eye flight. The full English with tea hit the spot. The staff were so friendly and kind. The owner even came to chat with us about our plans for the day and shared some really cool history about the bakery and his work. Definitely recommended!

Visited there for breakfast this morning, it was amazing and delicious, freshly done. People out there so friendly and polite.

Friendly staff and wonderful customer service but food was not great. Chips were semi cooked and burgers tasted bland. It was giving frozen food cooked in the air fryer vibe for £68 it was not worth it at all.

Lovely place! They have small bakery selection as well as eat in/take away service for breakfast, lunch or snack. I’ve ordered full English - Food was hot, fresh and beautifully cooked and well presented, it arrived in under 10 minutes . Sausages and bacon were good quality Coffee was superb. Overall experience 10 out of 10. Will go again

Eats & Treats is a must every time we visit Watford and it gets better every time! On this visit we enjoyed breakfast with family. Tea Service was lovely and the Oatmilk Latte was perfection. Everything about breakfast got our day off to a great start: Full English cooked to perfection; croissant breakfast sandwich with avocado was the perfect portion size and delicious; pastries were beautiful and so fresh and delicious! Don’t miss a chance to visit Barrie!!

The customer service is second to none. The owners are always incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming, even putting together an excellent afternoon tea at very short notice. It's definitely a gem of North Watford, with very hearty portions and an excellent selection of fresh pastry and cakes every day. I would particularly recommend the afternoon tea for the quality and quantity you get. You're in no danger of leaving hungry whatever you order.

This lovely unassuming and friendly cafe serves great Full English breakfasts at a very reasonable price. The Cumberland sausages are dense and flavoursome, the black pudding crispy and soft, bacon is meaty and not over salted, eggs, baked beans, toast, a mug of tea - and all served with a smile and optional banter. We opted for the full English breakfast with extra banter, leaving full, satisfied and welcome. One of the best breakfast places in Watford.

Perfect little place for a spot of breakfast, lunch, coffee and cakes, in fact anything you fancy .. the staff are very accommodating and will usually make you up whatever you want. Great place for all your fresh bread and rolls, they even make a fresh selection of pastries. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Been to Eats & Treats a couple of time after having done the Cassiobury Parkrun, they offer the perfect post run brekkie! Excellent quality food here and superb service from Barry & the Team! Great background music too, even had a bit of Led Zeppelin! Highly recommended.

Lovely cafe in North Watford. So friendly it felt like I’ve been coming here for years. Superb Jacket potato with jumbo prawns and homemade coleslaw.

We stumbled across this little gem on a wander at lunchtime. The food was fresh and delicious with a great range of choice and lovely cakes. The staff were excellent and the service was quick. We will most definitely be back.

I've popped in to Eats and Treats quite a few times when passing now. The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cater for you. Breakfast is first class, with premium sausages, bacon and black pudding, coffee is very good and the selection of freshly prepared baked cakes and pastries are so tasty.. my favourites are the cream apple turnovers. I've not yet tried them but the eccles cakes look great too. Really nice friendly place for breakfast, lunch or coffee and a treat.
