Cafe in the Library in Watford

Cafe run by Mencap within the Central Library. Wifi and computers available to use. Coffee and toasted teacakes were really good.

I ordered a takeaway cappuccino (regular size) here and paid £3.00. The cup was quite small, after three proper sips it was empty. £1 a sip, something I've never had anywhere else.

The cafe is just superb.. Little options to go for but you are there for the read and not to dine in.... The best part is they employee individuals with learning disabilities but the way they work is undoubtedly the best.... They are sweet and polite... Organised and helpful... All in all good place...

Cafe run by charity Mencap - fantastic initiative to give people with learning disabilities the chance to learn skills in catering, customer services and hospitality. I have never eaten there but just had a quick coffee / kids snacks - it doesn't feel that warm and cosy to me, so I've never been tempted to linger too long. My suggestion would be to remove the PCs and introduce some sofas and perhaps some toys or games. Not sure how feasible that would be!

Lovely place to have a smoothy and cake. Sandwiches and salad are also good. Thisnrimun by Mencap and they are always friendly.

Run by Mencap, this little café offers training to people with learning disabilities. Conveniently situated in the library, it provides good coffee, teas & cakes. You can also get a selection of sandwiches & light meals. Very reasonable prices too.

Quick service and usually quiet. A nice selection of snacks too. Good place to stop for a sit down before, or while looking around the library.

We had some time to kill before taking the shuttle bus to Warner Bros. Studios. A stroll through the lush high street of Watford is well worth it and the Café is right at the end of it, just after the underpass. Great snacks, baked goods and hot and cold drinks await.

Always a lovely place to visit, to treat my son to cake and a babychino or sit and read with a coffee. Absolutely love the lemon drizzle slice. My son and I both miss the pink lemonade cake. That was AH-MAAAZING!

Nice little café, decent coffee and a good selection cakes, cookies, sandwiches and etc. Supports Mencap, through profits and mentoring.

Smoothies, Croissants, Hot Chocolate, Interesting soft drinks Whats not to like ? Great location. Friendly staff too.

Run for and by people with learning difficulties, this lovely little cafe has a good selection of cakes, pre packed sandwiches and hot drinks. No hot food except toast. Really nice for a light lunch. And a very good cause!
