Coffee sausage rolls and empire biscuits all good service good had to wait for a table. Only thing I could say bad cobwebs hanging from the roof toilet not very clean. Tables not cleared by staff after customers have left.

Very nice breakfast With a Beautiful park to sit and enjoy it with a lovely coffee ☕️ The coffee is lovely .Amd the shortbread is delicious 😋

This is pretty much based on the room. We stayed here for 1 night, for a family function. We paid £100, normally £120 as the whole hotel was booked out. Our room had no window. I tell a lie, we had a sky light above our heads when we laid down. The room was filthy. Cobwebs, black mould in the lights and bathroom, peeling paint and chipped furniture The stairs leading to the rooms is hanging. Really really dirty There are green escape lights in every room. Honestly it lit up the room like Blackpool illuminations I complained and said it’s not worth £100 and I was told I had gotten it cheap already At breakfast we poured coffee, and it was freezing cold. They forgot to turn the water on. We were offered cereal, and they didn’t provide bowls. What I will say as a positive, the bar staff are great. Friendly and helpful. They had to deal with an incident in the bar, and from what I was told, they were very professional

I had a fantastic time with my family for my daughter birthday. we all had amazing time and the food was delicious. staff was very friendly and nice. we had a warm welcome to the restaurant. we will come back again.

Recuerdo cuando abrió el Collab y lo increíble que era la cerveza y la comida... nos mudamos de Walthamstow y volvimos este fin de semana solo para tener una experiencia decepcionante. Odio las alitas picantes y me encantaban sus I Gochu Wings que solían hacer... investigué antes de venir y vi que las hacían en el menú para llevar así que asumí que podían hacerlas en casa. La camarera prácticamente se rió de mí y básicamente insinuó que debía irme a casa y ordenarles que los tuvieran... ¡¿qué diablos? Solía trabajar como camarera y 9 de cada 10 veces podíamos armar algo que no estaba en el menú... Especialmente si estaba disponible para la entrega! ¡Esto no tiene sentido! También escuchamos a una camarera decirle a alguien con una computadora portátil que el negocio había sido terrible esta semana. ¿Dónde está la lógica? De todos modos, nunca volveremos de nuevo!

Charlie Hodson & the Crown 👑 Pub just keep getting better. Wednesday Curry Night is really catching on. The food is yum yum, the staff so friendly & efficient, the pub warm & inviting. The place was completely sold out with another 20+ people trying to get booked. Luckily, the Crown will offer Curry 🍛 Night every Wednesday, starting next Wednesday. This will make it easier for more Curry Fans to experience Charlie’s fantastic creations, but best to book ahead. Charlie’s grandfather was from India and taught Charlie well. Yes, I’ve already booked my table for next Wednesday.

Such a shame. Serves great snack food and good beers but never have enough staff on or indeed a manager who is professional and all over the very, very simple things to get right. Huge queues at the bar virtually all afternoon. Staff not clearing dirty glasses and plates. All just stacked up on the bar with no one even bothered about presentation or cleanliness. Cleaning sprays and cloths left on the bar for hours. Fairly disgusting to be honest. Could be so much better. Hopefully the owners read this and get a grip.

Popped en las gradas para el almuerzo del domingo, ya que se ha mudado recientemente a Aquelarre, está a poca distancia para nosotros. Oh, Dios mío, qué placer también. Absolutamente delicioso. Mi marido y yo comimos la carne asada y se sirvió con el pudín de yorkshire más ligero y crujiente que he probado, patatas asadas perfectas, verduras (mención especial de la deliciosa col roja). ¡La carne de res fue cocinada a la perfección y la salsa! Podría haber pedido literalmente una taza de eso para beber jajaja Existe la opción de agregar puré o verduras extra por un pequeño costo, pero me alegro de no haberlo hecho ya que no lo habría encajado todo. Bien vale la £ 18. 50 cada uno. Esto se lavó con un par de pintas de Timothy Taylor y Madri, luego un paseo de regreso a casa para relajarse. Perfecto domingo por la tarde. Poca mención al personal educado y amable también. Bien hecho Las Gradas, volveremos

Tried the Hay Waggon, which is under new ownership. Great barbecue with seafood kebabs and amazing local rump steak. Homemade ice creams are to die for. All served up in a wonderful garden

So glad we found this homely and welcoming Poppins.Staff lovely ,helpful and friendly.Nice atmosphere,like having a coffee and cake with friends.

We had booked to meet a friend who lives down the road from the pub for Sunday lunch. Upon entering I noticed that the towels were on all three beer pumps, upon asking if there was any beer, the young man behind the bar informed me that there was not. The second young man obviously had a streaming cold, continually wiping his running nose with either the back of his hand or in the collar of his T-shirt. My wife wanted to leave immediately (she is a nurse and hygiene comes first) But we stayed after informing the young man with the cold (politely) to wash his hands and that we didn’t want him to serve our drinks. No beer so I opted for tap Guinness, my wife asked for a glass of Shiraz, it was obvious the young man had no idea what that was, I said ‘it’s red wine’ he said. ‘We only have these’ and one by one pulled out just three options, none of which he could either read of pronounce. We opted for the Cabernet Sauvignon, which he completely gave up on trying to say, and was the only one of the three bottles with more than a glass left in! All this time his nose was running and he was serving drinks, I did say to him, you shouldn’t be here, you should go home to bed, ‘I know he replied’ We ordered dinner, all three Sunday beef roast, two well done and one rare. When they arrived I was sort of taken aback. Mine looked rare and okay, the other two well done. But the Yorkshire puddings were flat, mine was even floppy, not even risen. The beef (although looking nice) was tough, and it might of helped if the knives had been sharp. It was a very amateurish attempt at cooking Sunday dinner. One young lad came over and asked is there anything you would like, I asked for another pint of Guinness, oh sorry, the barrel is off now, he replied. I have to be totally honest, it is the worst Sunday roast I have ever had in a pub, and no beer, a young chap with his nose dripping… Not a happy experience.

Their food was delicious along with the first class service that we received. We will definitely go back again in the future.

Not sure what is happening to this pub, think it maybe closing.On 3 consecutive weeks, I have taken my elderly parents for lunch, or tried, each time, a notice on door, "kitchen closed", the reason we have tried is that we have had splendid lunches before.Last Saturday, arranged to meet friends for a social drink, but the pub was completely closed. A wasted journey and very disappointed.Such a shame as this was a lovely local pub.

Staff had no understanding of allergies and service in general was extremely poor. We walked away before ordering as did those behind us in the queue who overheard the service we received.

Viejo pub escolar con buenas cervezas, pero la franquicia de comida es muy promedio. Para ser franco fui a por comida pero me dijeron que si iba a comer allí necesito comprar una bebida ya que separaba el negocio, en realidad me coaccionaron. Debería haber salido en retrospectiva, pero tenía hambre. Tienen todo el derecho a preguntar lo que quieran pero fue una maldita técnica de viaje de culpa y caí en ella. Lo llamo por lo que es manipulación. Yo había llamado kebab y se había terminado - sazonado con lo que sabe a sal y comino, de hecho se olvidaron de que es comida griega no india Tikka masala, vamos -. Si todo lo que sabes es comida india quédate con eso y no lo llames griego. De todos modos, al menos usa platos de servicio más grandes. En retrospectiva hay otro restaurante griego al lado.
