Found this cafe quite by chance and it's lovely. Clean and bright and very good food. Jacket spud cooked to perfection. Scampi and fries had loads on the plate. Service with loads of smiles and laughs. Will definitely come back again when shopping in Loughborough.

We had been here many times before but had recently felt the quality wasn’t so good. However, nice sunny day, so decided to go there for lunch. Queued for ages, only to find that there was no hot food. Basically the only vegetarian option was a cheese scone ( and there wasn’t much for non vegetarians). They would only take cash- the website says they will accept cards. That did not inconvenience us but the cheese scone was so stale and unpalatable that we couldn’t eat it. Decided to cut our losses and find somewhere else to eat. And won’t eat there ever again. But loo was clean. Ps Our visiting crow eventually flew off with a bit of scone.

Ordered a sandwich, scampi and a kids fih fingers and took 40 minutes to serve. When asked how long gonna be the answer was:"another 15 minutes", in which time peoples who ordered after us been served. Never ever again attend this location again as the staff being rude saying : is nothing I can do! In my opinion can do more than accept only cash!!! No receipts released.

This is probably the last venue in Leicestershire that doesn't accept cards! Since covid I dont carry cash very often so I was embarrased to have to count out my coins to buy lunch. I spent 1/3 of what I was planning to and it meant we couldn't order what we wanted. There's a cash machine 10mins walk away but with a hungry toddler this wasn't an option. The food was very basic and disappointing. Lovely setting. Could be a lot better.

A nice café in the park, kind service and decent quality food at an affordable price. Was a bit low on stock (quiet season) when I went but that didn't prevent them from providing a nice lunch.

We were working to a time so the 45 minutes it took to produce a sandwich was a pain. Presumably they were short staffed but we should have been warned it would take so long.

This is a great location and a lovely place to drop in for refreshments but the cafe although clean, light and airy in this hot weather has not kept up with some of the others in the area. The choice of foods remains rather limited, mostly cakes and sandwiches aimed at young families none of which were very exciting perhaps the choice of breads could be revised. Nothing gluten free for my wife.

Visited here early Saturday morning ordered a coffee and a bacon sandwich. Coffee was good but a capochino doesn't mean 1/2 A CUP OF COFFEE WITH THE OTHER HALF FROTH. However the bacon sandwich was poor cheap sliced bread with very little content. First impressions are vital and unfortunately you made a poor one . Staff seemed ok but not overly bothered to make a good impression.

I asked the price of a milkshake to be told £1.70. We went ahead and ordered 2. For this price I expected something much better than we got. For a start, was only a small tumbler glass, and to add to this initial disappointment, it was powdered milkshake that had barely even been stirred and dissolved when it was served. Staff were still very nice though. Just felt like I had been ripped off.

Lovely to have a cafe in the park. It's right next to the museum and has seating indoor and outside too. Good selection of snacks and cakes and the pot of tea hit the mark after walking round the town for a while. A great place to relax and take a break.

The café is next door to the town museum. The museum is excellent for social history for local people and visitors too. It also has the history of Ladybird books which brought back happy memories. We took a break and had a cheese and coleslaw and a ham and lettuce sandwich in the garden of the café. Both were fresh and reasonably priced. The café is next to the park which is well laid out with some interesting sculptures.

Queen's Park Cafe serves good quality food and a good range of drinks. If you order tea, it is served in individual teapots, and they don't offer you extra water unless you ask for it. Cakes are good. It's in a good location, sited at the top end of Charnwood Museum, the whole building having once been a swimming pool. There is outside seating which is near the part of the park where the tropical birds are kept, so there are often a lot of tweets and squawks to be heard! Nice view across the park when sitting outside

Great to have a cafe in the park although staff often seem overstretched and not very happy! Scones are good although some cakes are not so tempting... Other food is good and has options for children. The layout is a mess and people never know where to queue although that's not the cafes fault but really needs a makeover and sorting out properly -not two sides to queue/pay!

Right in the heart of Queens Park this cafe has a lot to offer: a sizeable patio perfect for a coffee and cake on a summer's morning and hearty specials such as cottage pie in the winter. The food is affordable, tasty and the salads particularly are generous and fresh. When I visited recently I had a sandwich and a coffee, both of which were really good. The selection of food and snacks on offer is great and the staff are always helpful. I recommend Queens Park Cafe for a meet with a friend over a drink and lunch, the surroundings are perfect and you can while away the hours in the sunshine outside beside the aviary.

Just had the displeasure of visiting this cafe for the first time. We were scowled at by one of the staff as she opened up, got told off for daring to try to open the door 2 minutes before it opened and then were told we would have to wait whilst they set up. The worst thing was her general manner, incredibly rude, like we were ruining her day by being there. We just turned around and walked out, it was not the kind of attitude and behaviour we want our 2 year old son to witness.we would have made visiting here part of our weekly routine but won't bother now, customer service at its worst

We have been coming here to refresh ourselves for quite sometime. You know: mid-morning coffees & a bun, or like today, a light lunch, Greek salad, salad with Quiche, carrot cake, tea & a double espresso coffee.Service as usual was prompt & friendly. Prices very reasonable, eat inside or out & finish off, if you are a visitor to the town or even a local person, in the adjacent very informative museum. Queen's Park itself is a credit to the town & just adds to the pleasure, especially like today if the famous carillon is being played, & the sunshine helped!

Very disappointing, they have a gluten free menu so did not think there would be a problem. Ordered gluten free egg on toast but after eating some of the toast realised it was not actually gluten free bread. This really is not good enough, If I go somewhere to eat and I am told my diet can not be catered for fine I will go elsewhere, but if people want to offer gluten free they need to know the implications of the short term discomfort and risk of serious long term health issues that gluten can cause.

Just right for a visit when taking our grandson for a play in the park. The menu does not do justice to the quality of food and presentation. The children's choice is cheap and cheerful but went down well. My wife selected a jacket potato which was served with a very generous salad whilst I settled for a sandwich and bowl of chips. I was very surprised at how this filled me up as this also included a good sized salad. There's children's books and toys available to entertain during the short wait for the freshly prepared food to arrive. It's worth making time to visit the museum as this is free with clean toilets.

A group of us booked for lunch and ordered in advance. The staff were very pleasant and helpful , service was good as was the food with a choice of portion size for some dishes. My meal was missing peas but this was quickly rectified. The cakes looked delicate and tyere was one desert and ice-cream om offer yoo. The tea rooms are warm which was good as the weather outside was awful. There is outside seating for good weather days. There are a few charity shops on site and walks in the grounds, weather permitting and a model railway open on Wednesdays and Fridays. Definitely worth a visit.

Possibly the best latte I have had in Leicestershire (up to this date of course), I don't know how they do it...especially as I'm borderline addicted to the things If you get a chance try the vanilla latte and let it cool slightly. Worth every penny. The foods decent as well and the premises is very quirky but unique.
