The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Other cuisines food

Booked for a Christmas lunch with my parents, on arrival was told they had no booking for us and Christmas lunch was for a minimum of 6 people, I was not informed this on the telephone booking. Was offered anything of the normal menu, which we declined as we did not go for a burger and chips. This was a special event for my father as he is an ex miner from there!! Customer care could have been better, no manager currently in position, hence we left disappointed, went to a lovely country pub for our meal which was more than accommodating.

I asked if there were nuts in a muffin and was told no. Luckily my daughter didn’t feel comfortable eating it. I took a bite and it had nuts. It was very good, but wouldn’t go back.

Had a couple of cocktails before going for food. Staff were very pleasant and made good drinks. You are sat in the middle of the lounge if that bothers you. Prices reflect airport prices, 3 drinks at £34.

Bizarre set up, came in to watch the Rugby and whilst there was screens with the rugby on the rest had sky sports news BOOMING from the speakers at a simply unbearable level. No cask ales on draught either so settled with a pretty flat lager. Clientele wise, rough, loud and boisterous with most of them vaping and smoking indoors. I can't say a single positive thing about this place. If you've got more than 4 teeth still in your gums and you frequently shower, I'd avoid this dive.

Have not been to Planters for some time, no doubt before the 'makeover'. I will certainly NOT BOTHER to go again. Limited lunch menu, one item ceased at Christmas but four weeks later its is still on 'Today's Menu'. Food is grossly overpriced, but thankfully edible. Only positive is the young staff were friendly and helpful. Have crossed it off my visit list.

Having stayed at the hotel for over 12 months, and meeting the Nights Manager , Chris, he is very accommodating with any requests I have had. Always friendly and polite and is a real credit to Holiday Inn. Myself and colleagues cannot thank Chris and his team for looking after us all and making our long stay enjoyable and welcoming

A fabulous overnight stop in our campervan. We had a very warm welcome from Dylan who looked after us very well. The bar & restaurant was very busy however Dylan’s professionalism as a server made his job appear easy! Our food was served in a timely manner, piping hot and so delicious! The pastry on the vegetable tart was so tasty with added herbs. The gammon steak burger with an egg was very moreish. Now to the sticky toffee pudding with piping hot custard, a decent size portion, thank goodness we shared! Believe me when I say this is a lovely pub with scrumptious food, & fabulous service from Dylan

I normally like to go to an independent for coffee/tea as I prefer to support them. Having said that because my friend and I were right by here we called on Friday for coffees and snacks and very good! Slick friendly staff, no having to wait - all brought to table and this is now my go-to in Lichfield!

Friday meal with family not a great drinks selection if you don't drink lager, food was quite disappointing as everything seemed microwaved, either red hot or cold, don't expect to hear continous bad language coming from the bar area while having a family meal, we won't be returning

He estado visitando Devonshire Arms de forma regular desde junio de 2024, principalmente porque los pubs más cercanos a donde vivo son bastante desagradables y al mejor promedio a medida que los establecimientos de bebidas van. La dirección y el personal del Devonshire Arms siempre han sido excepcionales, muy agradables y acogedores. Recientemente he adquirido una pierna protésica que, aunque me he adaptado muy bien, obviamente todavía tengo una capacidad limitada para caminar y el personal de Devonshire Arms siempre se ha adaptado a mi situación y me ha ayudado en consecuencia, ya sea que esté con amigos o familiares. Although they’ve faced a few days of closure it doesn’t take away from the brilliance of the food they serve, food was done beautifully and the burgers cooked very well. Generous portion sizes and very very thick and tasty milkshakes I will definitely be returning. Also to note the tables and kitchen are kept quite clean and there was wasn’t much mess on the floor round the crowded tables which is a good sign the place is being looked after well.

8 of us visited this weekend whilst on a mini break. We arrived at approx 3 pm and it was clear that the staff were more interested in clearing up / finishing for the day than they were in serving customers. The rear of the cafe was closed for cleaning however there were no other tables available that could accommodate us together. A member of staff ushered us to the front of the restaurant and told us there were enough seats there to sit on..(just not together) I would've left however didn't want to cause a scene especially since I had recommended it to the family who were with us. Eventually the staff conceded and allowed us to sit beyond the cleaning sign ! It was a very disappointing trip and the staff made it more than obvious that they were disgruntled with our being there taking up space. Very disappointed and are unlikely to return . I am writing this review in the hope that others are not treated the same way, a good business shouldn't be ruined by staff who don't encourage customers

I Ordered a coffee at the counter and was charge just under £5 for a flat white, whilst waiting I noticed prices were different on the board and menus. After asking why I was charged more than the advertised price the lady informed me because I was sitting in. Surely this must be advised so customers are aware of difference in pricing. Highly overpriced coffee even for Cobham.
