The steak was delicious, cooked to perfection thanks to Zoe. I was very impressed with the service and the cost too. Well worth a visit.

We held our dear Dad's wake at the Devon Bar as this was the place Dad enjoyed and held many happy memories. Becky, the Manager was helpful throughout our booking. The bar staff were helpful throughout, always on hand and attentive. We choose the gold buffet and we're not disappointed. It was fresh, presented beautifully and rated amazing. There were many who commented on how lovely it was. Absolutely awful food was cold. All of us was saying out loud it was cold, tried to call a member of staff but didn’t hear us.. manager was sat on table behind us.. so he must have heard us all saying. When told the server she said well you should have said and I would have sorted it.. wow Then today called to see what time bingo was on.. lady answered and said “well all tables are full you will have a job. There’s no tables how many is it for…. We said two well I suppose we could fit you on a table what do you want to do.. totally gobsmacked.. customer service 0

We came down for dinner a few days ago with my children, food was amazing, staff were more then happy to accommodate our needs, the pub itself was extremely clean and tidy which made the experience so much more enjoyable, we will 100% be returning!!!! I went Tuesday daytime for food with some of my family whilst the kids were at school. The food was delicious, and had the 40% off voucher aswell so even better.

Watching football there's pretty good - I've been going for 35 years. But I just got a £50 parking fine, even though I was using the pub, They started a new parking system, and there's apparently a new sign that says what I'm supposed to do for parking but I couldn't see anything because it was raining. Unbelievable.

Just want shout out to the staff. Was in here over the bank holiday weekend and when an incident occurred the bar staff were quick to respond and deal with it so the night could continue and wasn’t ruined for everyone. Fabulous pub. With staff like John Hayley and Gemma you can’t go far wrong

Food was good, especially the messy Mexican chicken, only issue was the person who took the order, didn’t get a name as didn’t have a badge or anything, basically lacked any sort of welcoming in his tone of voice or any enthusiasm at all, he had a tattoo of song lyrics on his arm of that narrows it down, also just stood there with his arms crossed.

I have eaten twice at this establishment, the food has been good and the service quick. Today however I have had a rather unpleasent experience, I entered with my 33 year old son to have lunch, unknown to me the barstaff had asked him to remove his baseball cap, which he did. Unfortunately there were other customers wearing baseball caps, all be it backwards. I checked the entrace lobby but there were no signs up asking customers to remove headgear. In my eyes, it is either on or off no in between. To cap it all (pardon the pun) another customer left wearing a baseball cap, and nothing said? INeedless to say I will not be frequenting the Devonshire Arms again.

Let me first just say that i never write reviews However, with the service by John & Lee and the most perfectly cooked steak I have ever had It doesn't feel right for the management not hear this feedback. Myself, my wife and kids have been coming for years, but last night (13/11/18) was the best Mixed grill I have ever had! Massive credit to the chef! The table service by John is always great, interacts with the kids, Goes the extra mile etc and Lee is always excellent on the bar and till, Always repeats back the order so we don't have any mistakes and upsells.

We go to the a Devonshire at least once a month and in all the time that we have been going there we have never had a bad meal. I always try a sizler and it comes out hot and steaming. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the pub is very clean and the tables are kept clear as soon as people have finished their meal. Would highly recommended this pub.

Came here for dinner with my mum after being recommended. There was plenty of tables to chose from but was still quite busy which is always a good sign. I had the bbq hunters chicken which was so delicious! My mum had the mix grill she also really enjoyed her meal!

Decidimos ir aquí para una comida en el último minuto. La comida era muy razonable y probado encantador. La elección era increíble, la comida le gusta. El ambiente era muy acogedor. La camarera fue muy amable y bien informado sobre el nuevo menú. Nos habían avisado de que habría 25 minutos para la comida, cosa que no nos importó, pero en realidad la comida se servía en menos de 15 minutos. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

Visitado por una cena familiar como no han sido aquí por un tiempo y era ir a otro lugar pero es ido cuesta abajo (señal fuerte! ) qué puedo decir aparte de la comida era muy buena y muy buena para el precio también, probamos la Carolina, que es un filete de cubiertas con gambas en mantequilla de ajo, servido con patatas fritas, cebollas y aros de cebolla, sin duda volveremos!

Vale 25% y tenía pensado sin usar en mi día. Tenía queso y beicon patata con piel para arranque. Principal medio tenía Salsa de pollo asado, patatas fritas y piri piri con col. Encantador con pinta de Strongbow poco más de £10

Our first time in this pub and we were pleased with the food we had for what it cost us. The Hunters Chicken and chicken with mushroom and Stilton dishes were fine for the price. There was a good choice on the menu. The wine was OK and good value too. Our waiter was friendly and pleasant and the surroundings were clean and spacious. It's difficult to find good pub grub at a reasonable price, so we were happy we tried this place.

Came here on tuesday 28th nov for a family meal 4 adults 2 children. We ordered food and After 45 mins i asked how long our food would be for them to go ask but never came back to let me no! after an hour wait our food finally came out. Table was not cleared glasses piled up, food was cheap you get what you pay for.

We arrived for 7 o clock the table was ready waiting for us, we had a drink while viewing the menu, great choice, really good prices, a few people wanted starters which were ordered first, then I had to order 12 main meals, the girl at the till taking the order was very calm once all the orders and the extras were ordered she went back through it with me. Our waitress Kira did come up to us and told us that the meals would come out a minute or two after each other as she was on her own. When it came everything came out as ordered all sizzling as it should of and very prompt and polite service. Out of all the mains there was only one steak that was not brilliant but edible. We had a surprise cake for the birthday girl and Kira bought it out when we asked, actually she was really good nothing was too much trouble and she certainly deserved her tip.the pub was very busy as well and the atmosphere was really good a very good night great food and fantastic service.

Went here end of September with the family. I did want the seasoned pork chops, but those had ran out so ended up having fish & chips. The fish was gorgeous. Hopefully will have the pork chops next time.

Popular public house recently refurbished. Much improved from last visit. Budget priced lunch menu has limited choice, but all 3 dishes tried by our party were found to be very good. Real ale available.

Had lunch today and it is normally nice.but had cod and chips. I sent it back because it was mushy. They brought out another one.but it didn't look or taste like cod. I particularly picked the cod and chips over fish and chips

Went here back in early December for lunch. I enjoyed the food and so did the family. The service is always friendly.The only thing I wish the brewery would do is spend sone decent money on the toilets. It isn't nice for children crawling around on carpets when the toilets are in a bad state.The staff are great and I hear it's having a bit of a makeover soon. Let's hope they get the toilets right.

Rude staff and toilets a disgrace. Dirty football shirts hung all over the place. Horse racing on every one of the many screens and betting slips openly being filled in on a licensed premises.
