The staff were fantastic. Friendly, easy to talk to & the service was quick (quite busy whilst i was there as well). The music was also a solid selection & the vibes & atmosphere were great. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone 100%👌

We stopped in late a few days ago for a drink. Had nice chats with the manager and chef. We had to come back to try a few bits from their menu. This place has great food and lots of it. we ordered the mega Irish breakfast, Buffalo wings, hammoumi fries, drunken mushrooms and onion rings. All nicely presented and delicious, highly recommend!

Lovely place grate staff emma had a lovely attitude and made me feel very comfortable and did an amazing job at makeing sure my dairy intolerance mum had an amazing meal and she enjoyed it

My friend and I thought we would try this pub after seeing their ad for 2 meals for £11. I will start off my saying that the young lady who took our order was very friendly and amenable. I ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. When I cut into the batter I thought I was going to enjoy the meal as it was crispy and not greasy. However, the actual fish was disgusting. Greyish in colour, I am sure it was processed fish as it certainly did not look or taste like fresh fish.

It was a lovely pub. Friendly staff and tasty food. Best of all, my partner could watch the football ⚽️ 👏

Didn't eat here, But smelled greasy on a Saturday morning having an early beer with several friends. Service was good though.

I've been to most places in town for breakfast but this is by far the best ...I had the full hearty breakfast which was £6.75 #bargin #seepic...lovely atmosphere and fantastic staff made it a truly 10/10 experience...I'll definitely be back 👍

Wow what can I say...as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a lovely lady (Lucy) who kindly found us a table as it was so busy...the food arrived quickly and was as good as it looked ...as we left the landlady (Emma)gave us a great itinerary of whete to visit in the town 👍we will definitely be back for a visit 10/10 👍

I put four stars for the food because the menu looked great but the service is awful. Sat there on a calm day with nobody around, service wiping tables around but nobody to take the order. Tried to order at the bar, they said somebody would come to the table. A long while later still nothing. Shame, I looked forward to the lunch. If it was busy, it would make sense, he seen one other customer….. Edit after feedback… absolute sure it was that place. Took a picture there matching location and the interior is the same. Can’t imagine how could the staff remember me when nobody came to take orders. My partner spoke to the lady at the bar who said to wait at the desk. 6/9/24 2:30 pm.

Fantastic meal, excellent value and brilliant service.

Looking for pub food, I went to 2 other venues that weren't serving, so I ended up at the hole in the wall. The food is very cheap which can bring doubt as cheap steak can sometimes be very tough. Ordered the 16oz rump steak, chips, sauce and a pint. It came to £20.10 Good food at cheap prices. Would recommend and will be returning.

Lovely pub, poppy was great at the bar serving an absolutely smashing sex on the beach cocktail and jack smashed it with a ham and pineapple pizza was absolutely delicious! Thanks all for the fab night

Just been in, my son ordered scampi and chips, I ordered ham egg and chips. I've been before and had great food, but this time my ham was vile, it looked off and tasted worse. It was also covered in garlic so strong in flavour it felt like it was to cover the meat being off, it failed to. Lucky the scampi was fine for my son and the chips were fine for me, but eating them was kinda spoilt with the lingering taste the ham left. I don't like writing negatively as we've had great experiences before and everywhere has the odd bad moments. But this was an occasion where I really find it hard to believe the staff didn't know there was something wrong with the food. Anyway, hopefully its an isolated incident, but I won't be returning to find out, it really has put me off.

We called here for a quick drink last week, but then decided to have a quick look at the menu, I'm glad we did, double Gammon, egg & chips all for £11.95. Excellent meal and price. Quick mention to the staff also, very welcoming, thanks.

Had an offer of two for one burgers. Food was decent but drink prices were astonishing. Pint of beer and half a coke was approaching ten pounds. Beware of any offers and don't get lured in like us.

Friendly and professional staff, quick service, food came out hot and fresh and was incredibly good value for money. Would highly recommend the fiery chicken stack. Thankyou to Richard and the other staff for being so welcoming. Can't recommend this pub enough.

Stopped in today had middle breakfast 2 off everything sausages to die for very well cooked well presented and staff superb so my wife and I will be back well done and thank you

Went in on Saturday with the wife expecting mayhem and got it. Busy as hell, yet still got our food in 15 minutes, 2 burgers and a dirty fries(needs more chs). We will be back.

It's a great place to stop for some lunch with your friends. Staff are polite and welcoming along with a warm environment. The food was nice and tasty and it came out at in good time.

Can only review based on the quick drink we had before going on to dinner elsewhere. From the outside looked like it was going to be a small "local" style boozer, however as you step through the door the place opens up inside like a tardis. Good standards inside, tvs at the end of each seating booth at the part we were at was different. We didn't have the food but plenty of people seemed to be enjoying what they had ordered. Staff as we generally found throughout the trip were really friendly.

Food tasted very nice however I was quite disappointed with the Porton Sizes we ordered a chicken tikka masala and I’ve been to loads of pubs for food and this has to be the one with the worst portion sizes, also ordered a brownie for pudding and i couldn’t believe how small it was I just think personally with the prices they should be a bit bigger. Sorry to say but I wouldn’t go again.

Great place in the middle of Shrewsbury - only went in for a quick drink ended up having a Philly Steak Sandwich and chips which was extremely tasty 😋. Staff very friendly, pub very clean.

Lovely pub stopped for dinner, nice and clean, good atmosphere friendly staff, we had the 2 meals for£10.95 offer and I had a burger with doner kebabs on top. All three meals were lovely with nice crispy chips and coleslaw with my burger. My wife had the gammon egg and pineapple which was lovely and my daughter had a donner Taco which both were in the 2 for £10.95 deal. 2 pints of Madri and a bottle of Recorderlig cider 😋 overall a really nice meal out. This is my favourite place to visit when I'm in Shrewsbury. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and the food excellent.

Popped in Saturday afternoon as I've used this place many times before refurb. Really done a great job on the interior. My wife and I had three dishes for £13-75 consisting of two beef tacos each and a bowl of filthy chips I think they were called to share....ok not massive portions but perfect for a mid day snack.... service was superb, food superb. All round a fantasticly run pub. Well done to all the staff. Can't wait to go again 👍

Pub in the centre with food. No ales and slow service. Food was well cooked and tasty.

The pub is nice, always clean, the team are very welcoming,and the prices are fair. Only criticism is that they never have the heating on and sometimes it's very chilly especially when they open the double doors to the skip area, but apart from that excellent

We called in today for breakfast. Husband and son ordered the biggest breakfast and I had the smallest, which turned out to be more than enough. The two large ones were enormous. The food was freshly cooked, very tasty and hot - essential for a cooked breakfast. The pub was very clean; the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful; very good value, in fact I would say excellent value. We all agreed it would be our breakfast place of choice. Hopefully going back tomorrow to try the fish and chips. 😊

The Hole in the Wall is a nice cosy pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is mainly a food pub. We called in for a drink, and there is a wide selection of beers, largers, and cider, but sadly, no hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which was a disappointment.

From the outside it’s very deceiving, looks small, we thought we’d give it a try as it’s dog friendly! Wow! Absolutely wow once inside. It’s huge, staff are friendly and food is great and well priced with offers on, we’ve been a few times now, this time we brought friends along and they were amazed once inside with their dog to. The manager has done a brilliant job turning this pub around. The staff were all friendly and very helpful especially with gluten free choices. The place was clean and I would have no problem eating and drinking there again. It was full all day with people queueing for tables. Well done to all the staff whilst the rugby has been shown. They've run around after customers at what appeared to be 12 hour shifts. Keep up the good work.

Visited this weekend with some mates to watch the rugby and have a few drinks and a bite to eat. The atmosphere was electric, loads of screens for the rugby and you could hear the commentary. There was a good range of drink, but we all had Guinness (you have to when the rugger is on). I had a burger which was delivered quickly and looked and tasted great. Thanks for a great afternoon

What on earth has happened to this place? Called in on Saturday afternoon for food on the off chance we'd find a table. Instead, we found an empty pub that stank of bleach and disinfectant. We paid over five pounds for a pint of flat dishwasher lager. Never saw anyone eating. How can such a good pub go downhill so quickly? What a shame?

Went with friends for some drinks and food the pub is lovely like the staff we went to the bar to order drinks and food for six people Ben G served use the most pleasant person you could ask for nothing was a problem no task to small we placed our order and sat down with friends the food arrived piping hot with everything we asked for serving staff are wonderful and polite and the food was absolutely tasty we would not think twice of returning to The hole in the wall oh and the prices are really good thank you to the wonderful staff for making our day

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. Quite a big crowd in. Still able to get served quickly enough. Decent pint of beer. Plenty of tables as this place really opens up considering it doesn’t look that big from the front. Loads of TVs showing the football. Central boozer middle of town.

Popped in early Saturday evening and was impressed by the size and variety of the place. Lots of different seating areas, good range of beers, sports on but not too loud. Overall, was great.

Came for a drink this afternoon and was served by a lovely Ben H, his service was outstanding during our time here with a friendly and professional attitude. At the end of his shift asked if there was anything else he could do for us before he leaves which is a level of service I have rarely seen.

Cracking food at a reasonable price, with a lovely decor and good vibes. My girlfriend enjoyed the notorious PIG burger (love the title btw) and I demolished the 5 course tapas. Delicious. Will recommend and come again!

Great pub, half price drink at Happy Hour.

Called in for a pub lunch with my wife. The staff are fantastic, polite and very friendly. We both had a burger meal which was first class. A big thank you to all the staff at The Hole In The Wall. We’ll be back very soon.

It was my birthday meal, and my partner had booked for us to go here… We arrived at about 13:20, walked in and asked for our table, we then were taken to our table by one of the amazingly friendly staff members. We both had the chicken strip burger meal, which came with fries, and we also ordered a side of onion rings. All the food was absolutely amazing. Great value too! £24.50 for our 2 meals & drinks, which is i thought is amazing. Personally, if you’re looking for something not too far from either the Bus station, or train station… I’d definitely recommend. Biggest credits to the amazing staff, very friendly… even wished me a happy birthday, and my partner and I a happy Valentine’s Day, yes I’m lucky to have a birthday on valentines 🤣

Think ists a bit naughty to put the price of drink up just because you have sports on shall avoid coming in when sports are on in the future and go elsewhere
