Halo Fizz Bar in Uttlesford

Had a couple of cocktails before going for food. Staff were very pleasant and made good drinks. You are sat in the middle of the lounge if that bothers you. Prices reflect airport prices, 3 drinks at £34.

Prawns are not very good due to being cooked without being deveined. Other seafood was good. Wine tasted good, but again expensive.

The prawns are cooked without being de-veined. The black visible "vein" along the back of a prawn is actually the intestine, which contains grit and other faeces. While it is harmless (because it's been cooked and all microbes have been heat-killed), it does cause off flavours in the prawn meat. A restaurant charging the prices that Halo charges should de-vein the prawns.

Great service with friendly and very efficient staff. I’ve flown out on various occasions and have always been well taken care of. Excellent way of starting a journey!!

My wife and I had a couple of drinks here while waiting for flights to Germany. It’s a great little bar that is a cut above the rest. Great selection of drinks and not as pricey as you might expect. We loved it and will use again on our next hols.

We wanted to have a drink here, but unfortunately the only free seats were next to a man who had his disgusting bare feet in the seat. I told the staff that they were losing business due to this. They didn’t give two hoots and just stared at me.

I love this little bar. Always kick off the start to any trip by having breakfast or lunch here. The food is super tasty, the staff are professional and its immaculate . Well done to Ricardo the manager. A decent lunch with a bottle of fizz costs around £65. Worth every penny.

Absolute ripoff. Overpriced and not that tasty. Not worth stopping. We had the seafood platter that was incomplete.

I visited this bar late one evening specifically to charge up my mobile phone. I paid £13 for a small glass of champagne, which was fairly flat. I settled down and plugged my phone in. After a while I noticed that my phone was discharging, so I mentioned this to the waitress who admitted she had turned the electricity off as non patrons were using the sockets. I did actually appear to be the only person about, however. So I went back to charging and got about 1% before I realised it had been switched off again. I then had to dash to get my flight. When I got to my destination the taxi driver texted to give me his whereabouts, but my phone was flat, so I hung about waiting for him. I was held up because of this. I was annoyed as the bar did not need to do this so late at night, as there were so few people about, and I had explained that I wanted to charge up.

I visited halo fizz bar as I noticed they had charging ports available for customers, and I desperately needed to charge my phone as my flight was delayed and I had my boarding pass on my phone. I purchased a glass of Coca Cola, at the extortionate price of £4 to avail of the Charging ports, as I couldn’t locate any in the rest of the airport. I plugged my phone in to find that the sockets did not work and when I enquired to the man at the bar about whether it was working or not, the rude man replied to my question a blunt “no” while giving rude looks. I was not offered any apologies, help or advice on the matter and was left even more upset than before as now my phone was running out of charge, and I had just purchased a soft drink for £4 for no apparent reason. An absolute joke of a place and I would advise everyone not to go near it if you are looking for kind & helpful staff or reasonable prices.

Friendly, clean & comfortable place for a bit of seafood & a glass or two of wine before flight. Recommend the 'Crab Soldiers'.

Cool little bar at Stansted airport. Honestly just looking for a place to sit but had to order something. I had the Apple ginger mojo. Sooo good. And I know what you’re thinking but it’s non alcoholic. Apple juice gingerbread syrup mint leaves and limes. Yup not gingerbeer syrup or even plain ginger syrup but gingerbread. Drink was a 4 bar gets a 3, bit pricey.

Very appealing to look at. We dropped in before our flight. Had a bottle of fizz and blini’s. Plus points - + Lovely set up and decor. + Prices are pretty good for an airport. (Bottle of Piper-Heidsieck for £57 and blinis £16) Down side - - the staff are poorly trained. No eye contact and hard to get attention to make an order (even when not busy). They were all talking to each other and on mobile phones. Just not very engaging. It’s a bit of a shame because brilliantly trained staff would make this the go to place before a flight. - you buy a bottle of fizz and the many staff watch you pour it yourself.

Absolutely disgusting! £26 for these drinks and the peach Bellini is as flat as a pancake! When staff were made aware we were told that’s what happens when it’s mixed with peach puree..... I don’t think so! As I’m typing this and staff saw me take a photo- the drink mysteriously got replaced! Good job we’re in happy Holiday mode 😂

We always choose this lovely place for breakfast when we have a morning flight. Relaxed area to sit and enjoy wonderful fresh food and Champagne. The food preparation area is so small it's amazing how they serve such appealing dishes.

When ever we fly from Stansted Airport we always visit this restaurant. Usually we have a Champagne breakfast/brunch. Service is outstanding as is the beautiful fresh food . They have limited space for food preparation, but work miracles to present such amazing dishes.

Whether you are just starting, or ending your holiday/trip, lets face it there are not many delights to be enjoyed at Stansted airport, long queues for passport, security etc but a gem in all of this is the Halo Fizz Bar...the perfect place to sit...
