The best restaurants serving Mexican food in England

First time at Franks. Nice décor and warm welcome from the young waitresses. Early Saturday evening was busy and rather loud, with a birthday celebration in full swing on another table. Consequently, our two-couple conversation was rather hard to hear. Maybe, not the venue for an intimate meal then? The food was really tasty, but the tapas style menu was not to my liking and rather disjointed. Gotta be honest, call me old fashioned, but I prefer a formal Starter, Main & Desert layout. I had two Sol beers, but the remaining three only drank water. Consequently, the £190 bill, for what was essentially a selection of Starters did seem rather exorbitant! Maybe, more akin to a younger clientele, especially if in a group of mates and dates and friends...but we won't be rushing back!

Ive been ordering from here on and off for the last 10 years, but the past year or so it has massively gone downhill. Portion sizes are literally a gamble - one week could be "normal" the next time theyll be half. I just thought it was a one off, but on the fourth time it happeneing it was my last time ordering. The enchiladas and the fish tacos were just a joke. Half a tub of fish taco and the enchiladas look like theyd shrunk in the wash. The desert portions are ridiculous. Im all for keeping costs down, but this is beyond it. So, it's adiós Nacho Cheese.

Just had lunch with a friend this afternoon. Atmosphere wasn't enjoyable - the only person who was beyond kind and helpful was Aky. There was an issue with my order from another staff member, and Aky was kind enough to help resolve it - much to the dismay from the other staff members.

Great environment- comfortable and contemporary - friendly and helpful staff. We had snacks, which were very good, and a couple of drinks - nicely served. We will definitely be back. Much the best option in the area.

Después de leer reseñas y con ganas de burritos, hoy hemos intentado visitar Mi Burrito ya que la página web decía que estaba abierta desde el 12 : 00 los sábados. Llegamos justo después del mediodía, pero todo estaba oscuro y cerrado. Nos decepcionó que a las 12: 15 no había señales de la apertura del establecimiento y tuvimos que abandonar nuestro intento. Como fuimos a Bristol específicamente para comer aquí, esto fue ligeramente molesto. Si los horarios de apertura han cambiado, por favor My Burrito, actualice su sitio web.

Can not fault the food and beverage. Particular shout out to the Brazilian Steak Skewers. A wide range of food, including Mexican and Tapas. Will definitely be back!!

Showed up for pur booking for a joint birthday meal to find the restaurant closed, in darkness, no sign on the door. They never contacted us to save us a journey. When I tried to call no one answered. Messaged them on messenger and Instagram to be responded with a screenshot of their Facebook post saying it's closed due to unforseen circumstances. Not even a typed message. No apology. This is our third attempt to go to this restaurant. We spent a birthday night trying to get into any other restaurant on the fell, all were booked, so found a takeaway pizza and left it there. Unforseen circumstances happen but the lack of communication, the rude screenshot response with no apology, it's not ok. This restaurant seems to have bitten off more than they can chew if leaving a note on a door for customers is too much to ask.

No habría comido aquí si hubiera sabido antes ordenar que no tenían cerdo, ni guacamole, ni patatas fritas (¡se quedaron sin bolsas! ). Como una persona más baja también me pareció difícil el pedido, ya que el mostrador actuó como una barrera acústica entre yo y el personal (y se encuentra en un patio de comida ruidosa de todos modos). El burrito de pollo que comí sabía muy bien y el embalaje desechable era mínimo.

This place is great! Really delicious, authentic tacos & margaritas. Which is not easy to find! I like this place a lot.

From the moment we entered we knew this restaurant was secial. The music , the interior & the staff made it feel like we had flown to Mexico to an upmarket eatery. We were nor disappointed- Margaritas simply delicious- tacos were sublime- we ate a selection & shared a main - we ended with probably the nicest warm chocolate pudding with cherry vanilla icecream. Great food and drink with plenty of selection, the atmosphere was brilliant. We were on a date night and can definitely recommend this venue!

Awesome service, especially Phalguni, who was very kind and welcoming. Kudos to the team! one of the best tortillas so far.

On the outside, it’s a Mexican restaurant/bar. On the inside it’s a bar that serves Mexican food. I was expecting to hear some Latino music at the very least. This did not happen! The music played was being played in the hope it’d attract passers by. The menu looked good. The tacos and empanadas tasted great. Their were varying degrees of spicy sauces which is a great touch. The burrito was a disappointment, it was flavourless to say the least. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean. Just a few minor adjustments to get 5 stars from me

This restaurant redeemed themselves on a 2nd visit. 1st visit was on Christmas day. It took more than an hour to be attended to and when the food came, it was stone cold. When I said the main guy was rude, responding like we were not paying guests. No attention to the guests etc. The experience wasn't great. On a 2nd visit after being persuaded to go back by a friend, the service was much better and the food was very good. Great local restaurant for a relaxing evening with good live music

My favourite place to order for a local take away! Great flavours, lots of options, big portions. Always hot. Absolutley delish.
