The best restaurants serving Mexican food in England

Booked for post shopping trip lunch. Service was great, waiters attentive and quick. Food was ok, a bit bland could've done with some coriander and chilli. Starter dishes nice, chicken wings and pork belly lovely!! but nachos and beans in need of a kick. Tacos were hit and miss. Halloumi got thumbs up but birria tacos burnt. Expensive for what we had but guess prime spot in Albert Dock to be expected!!

The food was lovely. After my plate was taken away I sat and waited to order a dessert. Despite catching the attention of the waiting staff after over 30 minutes of waiting I gave it up as a bad job and went to the bar to ask for the bill. I asked for the service charge to be removed due to the wait but was not asked why. Disappointing, as the initial service was good, and the restaurant seemed to quieten down as the evening went on so it was strange

Really lovely people and food - a bit too much hot sauce on the enchilada, overtook the flavour of the chilli con carne. EDIT: the hot sauce didn't make the food too spicy, it just made it very vinegary and acidic!

Cuando llegamos allí para una cena temprana, el restaurante estaba vacío, pero comenzó a llenarse y el personal era amable y acogedor. Pedimos recomendaciones y la camarera conocía bien el menú, mi amiga tenía alergias y confiaba en gestionar sus peticiones. Los cócteles eran encantadores y había una oferta especial en cacatúas. Pedimos toda la lubina, estaba preciosa y fresca y caliente y cocinada bien. Estaba muy impresionado por la comida y el servicio y sin duda volveríamos. Una cosa más, no agregaron una gratitud por el servicio en el recibo, pero hay un frasco en la barra para dejar propinas, así que me alegro de tener algo de efectivo para darles propina, ¡como se lo merecían!

Could not praise the company service any higher. I think he may have been the manager and I’m sorry I don’t have his name but he is the perfect example of how customer service should be. I made a mistake and he sorted it for me and never charged me. Outstanding.

I regularly go to burrito loco to grab a meal at the spectrum. The food is reasonably priced, the staff are kind and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming.

Better than expected, booked a table for 12 adults, the table was taken customers had to be moved to accommodate us. A choice of red or white wine . The cocktails were ok. The food was surprisingly good . Not sure about the hygiene as the glasses stuck to the table. It was busy on Friday night .

First time visit, as trying to view the menu above the food station & 2 different staff told me to just use the point of sale machine & wouldn't answer any questions just said the POS system would do it. Had a basic burrito with no additions. Quick food, generous on the portion size of cheese/chicken/rice. Extremely stingy with guacamole. Tasty & fresh while filling a hunger void. Chairs are reminiscent of a 1980s school classroom. All 3 toilets seem to have plumbing issues for sinks as theres puddles below all of them

El terrible servicio al cliente después del pesebre me prometió un reembolso de 60 por un boleto de Nochevieja que incluye cena y bebidas, pero cuando llegué allí la comida y los cócteles se habían ido, 3 meses más tarde después de ser transmitidos de persona a persona con el reembolso, recibo una llamada telefónica diciéndome que deje de buscar el reembolso, ya que no me van a devolver el dinero. Realmente no es como un restaurante debería estar tratando a sus clientes, definitivamente no estará cerca de allí nuevamente y ¡yo tampoco recomendaría a nadie más! 1.

¡Qué lugar para COMER! para pasar un rato en ambientes muy cálidos y climáticos. La comida es aún mejor! Fantásticos gustos, auténticos burritos, ¡y los de esas 2 mujeres de habla hispana son increíblemente buenos! Fueron, muy agradable y educado, súper rápido y muy bienvenido! Lugar encantador para ir para cualquier ocasión.

This restaurant doesn’t exist in Whitley bay anymore.. trip advisor needs updating or something. I just phoned up and booked a table but arrived to a non existent restaurant (the place I spoke to was in South Shields)

Restaurant has closed down - and replaced with a Thai restaurant of similar quality Thankfully Eltham's food culture will not suffer as a result of its demise!

Not my usual type of restaurant. Which reaffirmed why I don’t eat in places like this. Food was warm but massively underwhelming. I’m surprised that a brand can take such a traditionally tasty and flavoursome food and make it so bland. At £10 for a medium burrito with guacamole that was predominately rice, Tortilla needs to do better otherwise it will end up like every other awful branded operation in the UK. Service was meh as well. Machine like with zero personality.
