Tortilla in Nottingham

Not my usual type of restaurant. Which reaffirmed why I don’t eat in places like this. Food was warm but massively underwhelming. I’m surprised that a brand can take such a traditionally tasty and flavoursome food and make it so bland. At £10 for a medium burrito with guacamole that was predominately rice, Tortilla needs to do better otherwise it will end up like every other awful branded operation in the UK. Service was meh as well. Machine like with zero personality.

So me and my mate we always come here cause we like their food. But today we didn't. Our usual is a large burrito which we love but the one we had were cold disgusting wasn't wrapped properly fell apart whoever wrapped my mate burrito didn't know what the hell he's doing the think moron. Seriously I won't be eating here for a while if Tortilla is hiring idiots

I went in and Cheryl was very accommodating and helpful. It was my first time going and she talked me through all the options and made me feel at ease ordering I want to thank her for her good customer service

Food was absolutely excellent, everything was fresh and good portion size. Staff was friendly and helpful especially cherril who went above and beyond to help us and was polite, served with a smile, enthusiastic and seemed a real credit to the company especially considering she was a new starter. 10/10 will be back again

Took my 6 yr old here. His first time and he really enjoyed it. The lad Nathaniel who was on the tables serving everyone was great, couldn’t do enough for me and my son. We’re coming again for sure. Oh food was cracking too.

Being my favourite place to eat in the world, Tortilla always seems to not only meet my expectations, but exceed them. Living in Nottingham, I have seen myself change between the Tortilla on Clumber St and the one in Intu Victoria Centre. I think the Intu branch does things that little bit better. The only factor that makes me say that is the staff. They are always helpful and look like they enjoy what they do. Sam, in particular, seems like a great asset. Keep doing what you're all doing, and I'll keep ordering my burritos!

£10 for a salad and can only have 2 toppings on it despite not having rice or beans on. Just lettuce beef and some tomatoes then told I can’t add coleslaw without paying extra as I had already choose tomatoes 🤦🏻‍♀️

I recently left a bad review here for this place but I wanted to try it again and I wasn’t disappointed. The chap making my burrito was generous with the portion size (apart from the vegetables) however I did ask the following chap taking over if he could add more and he did without question therefore I was happy with both the food and the service.

£8.10 for a burrito and had to pay extra 80p for beef opened the wrapping and the tortilla was just soggy awful food

Didn’t think there was much to get wrong with good honest street food, marketed as Californian…. Soggy taco that fell apart, a medium salsa that was missing the zing, fresh salsa that had so much liquid we had to pour it off to have our chips able to hold onto any. All the elements of good, a little more care and it would have been.

I'm extremely disappointed, I went to eat at 3 pm, there was no quesadilla, I ordered and donkey tacos, besides being extremely salty, a misery of meat, paying 6 ponds in 3 tacos only with tomato inside is ridiculous to make it worse the beans in the burrito tasted good. of old

I’ve never been to Tortilla before, my girlfriend took us for lunch and our server Jack was incredibly friendly! The food was amazing and he made us both feel incredibly welcome! I’ll definitely be coming back :’)

Was pleasantly surprised at this place, we ordered frozen margaritas and nachos. Margaritas were tasty and so too were the nachos. If I’m back in the area I will pop in again for a quick Mexican fix

Disappointing I order the tacos with pork. As I attempted to pick one up, it fell apart. It was all wet and soggy. I told the girl who said.....' yeah I think the shells should be hard' . There was no soap in the toilet to wash my sticky hands and no sanitiser any where...

We both had the most amazing burritos from here. I had a naked one and my boyfriend had a normal one, and they were amazing! The server was so lovely which helped our whole experience

Definately recommend. I have a gluten, sulphur dioxide and dairy intolerance and don't eat meat, happy to find there was something on the menu I could eat that had substance and flavour (tacos with refried beans, select salad and spicy sauce in case you were wondering). I was a long way from home. They had an allergens menu readily available for view. Toilets appeared decent.

Come here every other week or so, best burrito I’ve ever had 🥰 if I ever go away I’ll check to see if there’s a Tortilla nearby, and the staff in all of them are always friendly xx

A really authentic experience, with quality produce and staff who are super nice and accommodating. Allergy friendly too. They even do frozen margaritas so what are you waiting for??

Went a couple of weeks ago for the first time as wanted to try it out. Great service with a friendly smile (yes you can tell behind the mask) and quick and easy ordering. Very juicy and fresh burrito would recommend. Lovely

Dreadful, best avoided. We had a serving of very gristly chicken with rice and veg. Add in an over-priced 'designer' lemonade to make a thoroughly inadequate, disgusting meal for over £7. Absolutely awful. I will never return.

Had an absolutely delicious lunch here last weekend! A Chicken Burrito, a plate of Tortilla Chips with a ton of Guacamole & melted Cheese and a Chicken Quesadilla! The best Tortillas I’ve ever tasted! Quick and efficient service with a smile! Amazing Food! Thanks guys!

Over priced and not even given the choice of what I’d like on my food! Spent most of the time picking at my food- tortilla chips older than me and a drink the size of a 2 pence piece. For its price I’m very disappointed

I basically paid £8.10 for a can of Fanta. I wasn’t given the choice to have my meal with or without Salsa which was basically tomato mush, beautiful tomato mush a bit of chicken onions and a f**k load of cheese. Would rather chew Ghandi’s flip flops. Customer service was okay though

Letycja dealt with my order and she was very quick made my tacos perfectly and even offered me extra guacamole!

Options to make it your way are good. Extras aren’t too expensive on top. Good value. Easy going staff, though one young girl was clearly in a grump, throwing a pen around every time she’d finished writing, made me feel a little awkward actually. Tasty and plenty there

The service was just amazing. I have been there for the first time and didn’t really know what to order but thankfully the member of staff who took my order gave me great advice and helped me to get great value for my money and also the food was delicious. For any future customers her name was Haritha and if you order with her then there is nothing in the way for a great experience!

Went here for lunch. I love Tex-Mex and Mexican food as a whole. I thought I'd give this place a shot and was not disappointed. I was served super quick and my burrito (beef) was so tasty and when I visit Nottingham again...I'll be popping back in there! Brilliant

We ate here last year and as we had family with us we thought we'd give it another go. I'm biased because I like Mexican and street food anyway but this was again great and good value. One of us had the standard burrito which was packed and massive. I opted for the nacho plate, cheese/salsa/spicy chicken and guacamole with fresh jalapeno. Excellent, we will visit again. It's very cantina inside which suits it fine

I've visited this restaurant so many times I've lost count. The friendly service and delicious food just keeps bringing me back. This place is a must go for people following a plant-based diet as somewhere you can feel full for a reasonable price and leave feeling really satisfied. Tortilla offer two types of beans, veg, mushrooms, guacamole and more recently pulled jackfruit. I can't wait to return and try this, great job tortilla staff

Delicious nachos with pulled pork. All the fillings were very nice too. Would have liked some garlic mushrooms on it too (like their competitors offer). Very good sized portion. Friend had burrito & was very happy with that. We were both offered loyalty cards to, which gets you a free meal after 10 visits.

Wanted something a bit nicer than a generic fast food, but with not much spare lunch time and this fit the bill well. Service on building the burrito was a but too rushed, but plenty of choice and quality burrito food wise. Step up in price from a subway type eatery but step up in quality too

Clean restaurant with ample seating for a quick bite to eat. Great service with lots of staff at the counter. Only downside is I found a very strange rock like thing in my food and nearly broke a tooth!

My first visit could possibly be my last. Over priced. Was very loud and couldn’t hear what the waitress was saying to me. I had a takeaway burrito and when opened was very wet and just wasn’t great. Wish there was some sort of menu that would tell you the sort of things that go together. However staff were very friendly!

Visited this afternoon for the first time, the guy and lady on duty were really friendly and helpful. Had the large burritos which were very generous and we would say very good value for money for what you got, I couldn't eat all mine and the guy gave me a little box and bag to take the rest home in. My husband demolished his and is planning his next visit ! We are regular visitors to Mexico and the ingredients and flavours were on par with what we have had over there. We will definitely be back soon !

First time to the Victoria centre store. What a delightful young lady named Nicole who served us today. My daughter and myself couldn't make our minds up were a little indecisive on what we wanted. Nicole was very patient when dealing with us and helped with our choices and smiled throughout. All staff seemed very friendly and all smiling at the customers ...it was a great delight to see. Keep up your excellent service I would highly recommend. Thank you

Love this type of restaurant and we weren't disappointed. Everything tasted very fresh. We had burritos and quesadilla. A little more pricey than the traditional KFC, Maccies etc but so worth it. Fantastic friendly staff. Shame there isn't one nearer to our home town as would definitely return.

Tasty food, plenty of choice, nice and hot, served quickly and in a friendly manner. I went for the Tres Tacos - 3 small tortilla wraps, each with different fillings - and a choice of spicy-ness of the sauce. Son had the same, and loved it. Prices were reasonable, and restaurant had a good ambiance. It's fast food, but done that little bit better than most.

The restaurant seemed OK and the food looked fine, I just had a cocktail. It was really expensive at 15 pounds for a jug of margarita. When it came, it was a frozen one from a machine and was not nice at all. There is no sign saying this is a frozen cocktail. It was really bad value, tasted like there was hardly any alcohol in it!

I was looking forward to trying Tortilla BUT sadly, it didn't live up to my expectations. I love Mexican food so I was thrilled to hear about this place. However, when I arrived I was shocked at the loud, blaring music. It was so loud that I couldn't even hear what the servers were asking me and I ended up with things on my burrito I didn't really want but couldn't be bothered to SCREAM for them to hear me. The food was a bit pricey for what it is (fast food). It was okay but I would have preferred to be able to sit without music so loud that I could hardly hold a conversation with my husband. I think that definitely needs changing. The food is okay, not terrible but not great either. I don't think I'd return.

We came for lunch recently, having never been to Tortilla before, the service was not good, we could barely here what the server was saying behind the counter.

First up, my burrito was bland as white bread. The hot sauce did nothing to improve the situation. There was no peppers and onions. I didn't get any lettuce as they were out. The hottest salsa was not spicy. The japalenos are shredded and thus offer no spice or flavour. Drink options are minimal with no refillable option. There are less meat choices. The pork was very very wet and ruined the integrity of my burrito. And it was small in comparison to Bar Burrito. Burrito fanatics are better giving this a miss in favour of Bar Burrito.

I don't like spicy food, I'm also veggie, so Mexican food when I'm out is normally off the cards. Went to visit a friend in Nottingham and after being encouraged, tried a veggie burrito. I liked it so much I ended up going back the next day to show another friend (who had a quesadilla that looked so good) Brilliant value for money as the food is so filling. Will definitely hunt down again.

Food is so tasty especially the 3 tacos as there's a lot there. Also heard about and had some of the burritos which are also lovely and cheap! You can choose what you want in the burritos or tacos which is great and the service is fast in front of you. The places are also really nice with comfortable surroundings and nice decorations if I may add.

Stopped for lunch - I had a chicken burrito and my wife had a vegetarian burrito. Fast, efficient service, and a well filled, tasty burrito. Excellent value for money - we both struggled to finish our lunch, and at under £6 it was far nicer than most other fast food offerings.

Service is really quick, you order food at the counter and can choose what fillings you want in your burritos/tacos etc. I've had both but the burritos are amazing! Loads to choose from with different varieties of rice, beans, meat or vegetables as well as a few different salsas (mild to hot choices). They are generous portions and very filling! Don't even need to go for a large one, medium is more than enough food. Went for lunch and didn't need dinner that night.

This is somewhere I'd wanted to try for a while and although a brand the food is great. Well prepared and presented and really well priced. The burrito was tasty and really filling. Will definitely be going back. Also staff were really helpful, chatty and well trained.

Ok so the food here is really nice and filling- not a bad price either.. I had the pork burrito in a medium - and the other half had chicken.. well seasoned and cooked.. definitely worth a go!

The food here tastes great, and that keeps me coming back, but they need to learn to wrap their burrito's well like Barburrito do as they currently just leave the ends open and you end up with a soggy mess in your hands.

I had been meaning to try Tortilla out for a while and wanting something different for lunch I tried it out in February.

They are what they are - a fast food burrito and taco joint. Line up, get your burrito made to order, take it to a table to eat. Nothing fancy.

Superb value for money (especially as you can get 10% student discount here) as the Burrittos are huge with a huge range of fillings to create your perfect Buritto.

Absolutely love the burritos here, you get to choose which fillings you want. Pretty expensive when there's a family of four but it's so yummy and very filling. You can have a beer which is a win win for me

Only had a few moments for lunch while in town for a meeting. Food was served fast was hot and tasty. I would have like to have stayed longer and maybe would have scored higher.

I walked by this place a lot so I thought I'll give it a go. I had the pork burrito it was ok tasty enough. I thought at £7.50 a small burrito and a can of diet coke was a bit expensive. I'm glad I've been, wont rush back. You would be better off going for a Subway in my opinion.

We ate here today as we know we like the food and it is relatively quick. Unfortunately, the staff here were quite grumpy and it felt like you were on a production line and if you didn't know exactly what you wanted instantly you were a problem for them. God help anyone who hasn't eaten at a Tortilla before who might be puzzling over how to order. I wouldn't go back to this one I would go to the one on Clumber Street where the staff seem so much more friendly even though the food is identical.

Came here for my partners birthday, and even though it was quite busy the servers were absolutely on point. Male server in the black shirt was especially lovely, as we ordered he joked that one of the other staff should pay for my partners meal, but to our surprise they did! The food was amazing, and we couldn't be happier.

Really glad we stopped here for a quick lunch. Had three tacos each and paid about a fiver each, plus some surprisingly good frozen margaritas. The staff were quick to serve and friendly as well. We'll visit this chain again. If you like Mexican food, try it.

Was in the Intu centre yesterday and the smell drew me into Tortilla, and what a treat it was. Got a quesadilla delivered to my table in minutes and it was fantastic!

First time visit while visiting family. We stood in line & the questions were fired at us that quickly that I thing we answered "sorry what" every time! Slow down a little & you'll probably serve people faster. The food was OK, rather expensive for a lunchtime snack I thought. What was shocking was that we didn't see anyone cleaning up while we ate and the floor certainly needed it let alone the tables.

It looks cheap but you get very little for your money. No taste just cheap filler and not much of that. The US does this well as they are not so tight with the portions.

I absolutely love or loved tortilla and have been ordering 'naked burritos' about 10 times now. Yesterday was extremely busy which wasn't an issue at all. The issue was that while I was waiting in a queue to order my food, this guy who worked there was taking the meat of the bone and then he was trying to separate big meat pieces into smaller pieces WITH HIS BARE HANDS!!! It was the meat that you see in the trays while staff prepared your order! When I saw this I immediately left, my boyfriend saw this as well. What's the point of people serving food with gloves on when this other guy touched cooked meat with bare hands? I was really put off and don't think that I will eat there again.

Myself, friend and my daughter went here for the first time, it was quite hard to work out where to stand and the girl wasn't particularly helpful. We ordered veggie burritos which were really tasty. The size large was huge. Overall it was ok, the seating area isn't very comfortable and the music was too loud so split the actual food in a way.

Slimming World don't endorse any restaurants but, if they did, this place would be number one. You can tell at a glance that hardly any oil is used in any of the dishes, and you can customise your 'naked' burrito any way you wish. Staff are always friendly, open to questions about the food and patient with procrastinators like me who can never decide which rice to have ;)

All I have to say waste of money for salty and soggy food. Won't be going again. Food seems to be sitting there as the lady was taking the dry bean marks of container.

The food in Tortilla is nice but the best is the veggie burrito! Was fantastic found a place with vegetarian option. The price is nice and the place inside seems clean. The staff is very kind!

I went earlier to get some lunch while on my break at work. I had the nachos with pulled pork. My nachos were soggy and very salty so much that I couldn't finish them. The homemade salsa has a lemon/water sauce on it in order to keep it fresh although it ruined the meal as the sauce was everywhere. The grated cheese tasted like plastic.

Luke warm, bland flavours, undercooked rice, horrible chicken bits. A little dearer than Mission Burrito in Bath but nowhere near as good.

I walk past Tortilla a lot, especially because I need to walk into Victoria Centre to get to Tesco Metro. Every single time I pass by I am always tempted to get a burrito bowl or tacos! The food here is consistently good, and eating a hearty burrito always makes me happy. Have taken away quite a few times too. The tortilla chips are addictive - can't have enough of it. Really like the salsa too! Definitely a place I would return to again and again. Service is friendly as well :)

Great staff and large portion sizes, very messy to eat and fillings could do with being hotter, ideal for quick meal when in a rush.

Went in here just after it opened for lunch, there is a huge choice of wraps, tacos and burittos, meats, vegetables and sauces. Everything is cooked in full view of you and all the fillings are laid out in front of you. Maybe a little pricey, but you get a fresh, healthy and filling lunch, you can add nachos and alcoholic drinks to your meal. Shame this place doesn't open later

My rating of average is because there is nothing unique or great about this place. Mexican food is usually spicy and full of flavor but found this very bland had to get extra jalepeno which were actually grounded don't know why but we're not good. Expensive for what you get. The portion sizes were small too. I don't think I will be rushing back!

I visited here and ordered the grilled Halal chicken tacos. You get 3 tacos which then passed along to another server in what looks like a subway type set up.

After a disappointing session at Planet Bounce the lunch here saved the day on my sons 13th Birthday! I took 5 X 13 year olds into Nottingham and one of my sons friends is Muslim so wanted to find somewhere that would cater for and appeal to all. Tortilla serves halal chicken so fitted the bill nicely! Staff were very friendly and patient with 5 fussy boys on a busy day , explaining all the options to them.

Perfectly pleasant for a quick lunch. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. Only slight complaint was that it would have been good if the fillings were slightly warmer
