The food was lovely. After my plate was taken away I sat and waited to order a dessert. Despite catching the attention of the waiting staff after over 30 minutes of waiting I gave it up as a bad job and went to the bar to ask for the bill. I asked for the service charge to be removed due to the wait but was not asked why. Disappointing, as the initial service was good, and the restaurant seemed to quieten down as the evening went on so it was strange

Staying round the corner at Prem Inn Blackfriars with friends , one with limited mobility meant we couldn’t go very far. To be honest this was the last place I would have chosen! BUT was pleasantly surprised. We were found a table very quickly and The staff were all so great, service was quick and efficient. The food was nothing fancy, basic but delicious. Would definitely return .

Very relaxed place, great atmosphere. 13 Of us went for dinner. Had something for everyone. Great choice of food, empty plates all Round. Good choice ofDrinks and mocktails for kids. Good value for money. Defo recommend Defo go back 👍

Went with a friend to catch up after work. The place turned out to be great. Really nice cocktail pitchers and good selection of tasty food. Would sugest trying to book in advance as the place is small and gets busy.

I walked into this restaurant today not knowing what to expect. A Mexican restaurant, in London? I walked out of this establishment today with the feeling of enlightenment. The nachos were the best appetizer you could ask for. When the burritos were brought out my nose smiled. The burrito was the most heavenly thing I’ve experienced. The salsa lathered in chicken with the rice complimenting it like Shaq complements Kobe. And just when I thought it was all over, a plate of ice cream surrounded by cinnamon churros. Life is good. This is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Your life isn’t complete until experiencing cheeky Chico’s. Oh, and we’re Americans where Mexican restaurants are abound.

Booked new years eve, they emailed to remind and asked to confirm booking. Arrived and they were shut. Get snotogram from open table next day saying i did not turn up for my booking. A joke.

Met vrienden een tafel geboekt en we bestelden het voorgerecht en deden voor het gemak ook maar gelijk het hoofdgerecht doorgeven. Dat hadden we beter niet kunnen doen. De nacho's en de garnalen van het hoofdgerecht waren heerlijk, maar terwijl we nog midden in het voorgerecht zaten werden de hoofdgerechten al geserveerd. Uitgelegd dat dit niet de bedoeling was, maar ja terugsturen is ook zo wat. Dus praktisch de gerechten op tafel laten zetten. Toch een domper op de avond die nu ook zo voorbij was, qua eten dan. Bij het afruimen nogmaals gezegd dat we dit toch wel jammer vonden want het eten (onder andere fajita's) was erg lekker en zeer smaakvol. Bij het afrekenen werden de servicekosten van de rekening afgehaald en waren we toch zeer tevreden. Een fooi was toch ook wel verdiend.

Food was excellent although doesn’t look like there’s much of it when it first arrives - but definitely fills you up. Service was really good despite it being World Cup match night. Prices are reasonable for London and would much rather support an independent than a chain.

Having recently got back from Mexico when I saw a Mexican restaurant within walking distance from my hotel I was excited to try it out. The actual restaurant is really beautifully decorated and does give the feeling of being in Mexico with the bright colours and associated decorations. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was really delicious and a good sized portion for a reasonable price.

It has amazing service, the food came fast and the atmosphere is great, I can really recommend visiting. The prices are fair as well

Trovato per caso, camminando in zona alla ricerca di un ristorante per cena, consiglio questo locale per la sua ottima cucina messicana e per gli eccellenti margaritas. Il servizio è stato curato e rapido: la ragazza che ci ha serviti al tavolo, in particolare, è stata molto simpatica, gentile e chiara nella spiegazione dei piatti. Il menu è semplice e tradizionale: abbiamo ordinato una fajita di manzo e un burrito con pollo. Nostro figlio di 7 anni ha scelto pollo fritto con patatine dalla sezione Kids del menu (davvero apprezzabile il fatto che abbiano pensato anche ai più piccoli che non amano i sapori piccanti). Sapori molto buoni in una atmosfera davvero piacevole. Per accompagnare i piatti abbiamo scelto un classico Margarita ... così buono che ne abbiamo ordinato un altro a fine cena! Per i nostri 3 piatti, una bottiglia di acqua e 4 margaritas (9£ a drink) abbiamo speso 82 £: ottimo prezzo! Davvero consigliato!

We were in London for a family holiday. Staying at the nearby Premier Inn, I was looking for a nearby restaurant for dinner with the family. This was within walking distance and had good reviews. So decided to book the table at this restaurant. But we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was small but the décor was giving a feel of Mexico. The service was great and fantastic aromas filled the air. When the food started to arrive, we were highly impressed. It rekindled our taste buds. The cocktails and drinks were also amazing. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommended.

We went as an intended one-off visit but enjoyed our experience so much that we will become regulars. the menu was simple to understand and order from. Food was quick to arrive at our table and was really tasty. The staff was friendly

Big thanks to Facundo the Argentinean server/bartender, he was super friendly and entertaining, and gave us top notch service. We hadn't eaten Mexican food in a while but we will certainly be back to Cheeky Chicos soon.

Mi esposo y yo fuimos a este pequeño restaurante el viernes pasado por la noche después de comprar un Groupon para comida y cócteles.Los cócteles estaban deliciosos como todos los platos que pedimos, que también fueron muy generosos.El servicio fué absolutamente fantástico. El personal fue más que agradable e hizo todo lo que estaba en sus manos para hacernos sentir bienvenidos, y lo lograron.¡Experiencia encantadora, comida deliciosa y excelentes cócteles!

Se recomendó probar y fui con un amigo y mi perro. La comida y el menú no defrauda y la calidad es excelente. Esta es una comida reconfortante hecha muy bien.Único problema; ordenó una primera ronda de IPA. A los dos nos encanta Mondo Dennis Hopper IPA y fue genial. Pedí una segunda ronda y fue diferente: ambos sabíamos que tenía que ser una cerveza. Se le preguntó si se podía cambiar, pero después de revisar nos dijeron que era de la misma línea y es la misma cerveza. Esto fue 100% incorrecto: soy un sommelier de la industria de bebidas y un cervecero calificado. Mi amigo, un destacado operador hotelero.Seguimos adelante, disfrutamos de nuestra noche. Pero existe la oportunidad de capacitar al personal sobre los productos.

Un amigo y yo pasamos esta noche y aparecimos ante la remota posibilidad de que tuvieran una mesa libre. Lo hicieron y estoy muy contento porque tuvimos una de las mejores comidas que hemos tenido. Todo estaba muy sabroso, hubo una espera mínima y el personal fue encantador y amable. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera y sin duda volvería de nuevo. 10/10!

Disfrute del viernes por la noche en Cheeky Chicos. Compartimos las enchiladas y las quesadillas, estaban bien pero podrían haber tenido un poco más de sabor. El menú de bebidas es bastante limitado, por lo que no es genial si eres quisquilloso. Pero tenían algunas buenas opciones de postres que incluían churros y tarta de queso. El ambiente era animado y divertido. El personal era muy bueno, sin embargo cobran un cargo por servicio al final.

Recently we visited Cheeky Chicos in Blackfriars. The food was really good and the ambiance chilled & fun! Friendly staff and very efficient service. The highlight is the cocktails that Federico , the bartender, made for us! You have to try the margaritas and mezcalitas!!!

The bartender Facundo fixes a mean margarita. Just ask for the spicy one although you cannot go wrong with any of the options. Tacos were delicious, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, the staff efficient and very attentive. What more can you ask ;)

Genial, nuestra primera visita a Londres desde marzo, queríamos un lugar fácil y rápido y Cheeky Chicos dio en el clavo, la comida era sabrosa, el servicio rápido Tuve el burrito de pescado y mi esposa el Taco de pollo a mi esposa no le gusta la comida demasiado picante, pero encontré esto para ser muy agradable, Fucundo fue el gerente muy agradable y conversador en general buena comida y ambiente a un precio muy razonable, definitivamente lo recomendaría y regresaría nosotros mismos

Realmente disfruté de nuestra visita aquí. Tomé un mojito excelente para comenzar la comida, no demasiado dulce. Tuvimos un partidor de nachos que fue excelente; la salsa fresca estaba deliciosa. Tuve las enchiladas de verduras que eran tan sabrosas. La combinación de verduras era perfecta y la salsa estaba perfectamente condimentada. Llegó con arroz y frijoles negros refritos cubiertos con queso feta (Mmm). Mi compañero en el crimen tenía el burrito desnudo de verduras y también lo calificó altamente. El tamaño de las porciones también fue acertado. ¡Disfruté muchísimo toda la comida! ! Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera experimentar un estilo y sabor mexicano más auténtico. El personal era realmente encantador también. ¡Pulgares hacia arriba!

Excellent Chicken Enchiladas and superb Cadillac Margaritas. This is my 2nd visit and my 1st impressions still hold up. Only thing i didn’t care for was the Jalapeño croquettes. Seems like they’re doing like most Tex-Mex places do and serving factory made jalapeño poppers. Not a fan. If you ever have handmade stuffed jalapeños with a Mexican cheese or even a cheddar/Colby or Monterey Jack you’ll never go back to the cream cheese poppers. Otherwise Fantastic little spot. I’ll definitely go back again

Bought a very burrito in the box. V v poor value. Paid 8.5 pounds for a veggie burrito in box. Quantity is v less with a small box filled half. You have to pay extra for guacamole and sauce...........seriously. Will take walk to chilango next time onwards.

Having read the reviews I had expected better. Food was bland and despite asking for my burrito to have extra chilli it had very little. Service was very quick but food was not hot temperature wise either. Disappointing experience.

This restaurant isn't large but it appears to be well known by the people that work locally.I popped in (around 3.00pm) and there was just a Christmas party starting in the corner. Still the service was very quick and it has to be said that though the menu was relatively short the food was some of the best, tastiest, mexican food I have every tasted.I even went to thank the kitchen staff on my way out and they all appear to be Mexican or Spanish. (There is a window to the kitchen so you can see the cooks cooking on your way in and out.)I had the Naked! A bowl of rice, beans, soured cream, pico de gallo with the Beef Salpino, I also had a Margherita - and it had the traditional, authentic, salted glass instead of sugar (that some bars do) - everything was finished with warm churros with chocolate inside with a scoop of vanilla ice cream....The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful - nothing is too much trouble, very relaxing place just to sit and relax.Only real problem was that I was in the area for a job interview (when I got home I got called up for a second interview...) - if I get the job I'm likely to be in the restaurant every day! Which would definitely be a problem for the old waistline...and over the course of a month the wallet!!I went at the right time for me around (3.00pm) and it was nice and mellow (quiet) but I think, because it is small that it could possibly be really loud and rowdy when its full. - Still definitely worth a visit!!

El lugar era muy agradable y el personal amable que terminé comiendo.La comida era deliciosa y la tuvimos en nuestra mesa en menos de 10 minutos.El personal fue muy amable, nos habló de su menú, recomendaciones. Fue realmente una experiencia genial. No puedo esperar para volver con más tiempo para disfrutarlo plenamente.

Lovely colourful place in the city! Very comfortable, has a chill vibe. Service super fast and staff friendly. The menu is nice and simple, and the food delicious. Also big portions and fair prices! Highly recommeded.

Mi hermana y yo nos metimos aquí porque teníamos mucha hambre y no habíamos comido comida mexicana en mucho tiempo, así que pensamos en probarlo. El menú es sencillo, así que es fácil hacer una selección. Nos dieron los jalape rellenos, quesadillas vegetarianas y tacos de pescado y todo estaba sabroso y bien preparado con porciones generosas. Sin embargo, el servicio estaba apagado, tuvimos que entrar y conseguir nuestros propios cubiertos y esperar un rato para los menús. Las jarras de margarita también son una estafa, recomiendo pedir bebidas separadas ya que el uso de hielo para llenar las jarras era una broma. ¡Todo lo recomendaría aquí para una comida rápida!

The space is really nice and vibrant. The colors are bright. That’s about it... the nachos were burnt (I didn’t like it but my wife did). The guacamole was tasteless. The enchiladas were forgettable and the drinks weak but beers were pretty good and they have a nice selection. The service was decent and the waitress quite nice and helpful. Really there is nothing good to say about the food. This isn’t even a « I am desperate for Mexican so this will do » place.... but the decor is nice.

Service was the worst I have ever received, the food came out at completely different times and was cold. Drinks took around 20 minutes to come and don’t even bother to ask for another drink because that probably won’t even come until you’re just about to leave but don’t worry, they won’t forget to charge you for it and hit you with a service charge which they do NOT deserve. Worst restaurant I’ve eaten in for a long time, do not waste your time and go elsewhere!

We had a great meal out at Cheeky Chicos. They were very good about adapting their quesadillas to suit one picky eater in our party, and the food was really good. It's a nice spot for a quick meal.

It was on the weekend me and my partner went there , we have no idea where to eat in that area as its seems to be late to make reservation in some restaurant , so decided to stop by here and found its really cool Mexican restaurant. From the outside it looks like a small place for hangout . But when you get in , its different atmosphere.

We stopped here for a late night snack of quesadilla and chips/salsa. Service was quick, and food was tasty.

Our meal was reasonable, no complaints. However, we were conned out of £10 when paying our bill. We chose to pay by cash, all putting in sufficient to cover our £90 bill, which already included service. We counted the money twice. The waiter took our cash to the counter without checking it in front of us. A couple of minutes later he returned and told us we were £10 short! I disputed this and I was not prepared to give more as it was obvious he was conning us. However, my companions agreed to give a further £10 to keep the peace. So, these crooks got their service charge and an extra £10 for their dishonesty. Needless to say we will not return.

Our food was great and different but good different. A different twist on Mexican, Latin American food, however I really missed having some sauces, chilli and others on the tables to add some real spice.

Visited Cheeky Chicos since i was craving for mexican food. The restaurant has a classic mexican kitchy interior with a simple but somewhat typical menu. They offer tacos, enchilads and also does take away.

My wife's birthday meal on Thursday 21.03.19 and another returned visit on 22.03.19.

I’ve been here half a dozen times and it never lets you down. I travel to London a lot and if I’m on my own I always find myself here whether I’m staying at Paddington or Tower Hill, worth the walk!! For some reason it’s never too busy, service is great and the food is always really tasty....and the beer is cold, what more can you ask for? Definitely worth giving it a try!

If you fancy some nachos and a cheeky margarita then this is the place for you. Only thing I will say is that service is slow and could be improved on. We had to keep asking to be served.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, no issues. Food came very quickly, I had a burrito with pork and then tacos with deep fried breaded chicken. Everything was fine, not the best Mexican, but better than average.

Estuvimos en Londres unas cuantas noches para ver un espectáculo de teatro y tropezamos con este lugar y decidimos darle una oportunidad. ¡Gran decisión! Nos sentamos rápidamente, la camarera era amable y rápido tomando nuestra orden de bebidas. La comida fue traída a la mesa rápidamente y estaba deliciosa y bien hecha. Recomendaría que valiera la pena visitarlo, la única razón por la que le he dado 4 estrellas, no 5, fue la proximidad a la mesa de al lado (dos mesas pequeñas para separar cuatro con un par de pulgadas entre ellas, era ocupado en el momento así puede entender por qué se hizo esto.)

In London for a work trip and a colleague and I were looking for somewhere relaxed to eat. We stumbled across this place on our way from the tube, mid week and gave it a go. We were really impressed, the food was really tasty, home made, good value and the service was excellent. It’s a small restaurant with a great atmosphere, very friendly staff and delicious Mexican food. The menu is limited but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I had the pulled pork burrito sweet potato fries and jalapeño coleslaw (hot!) colleague had the chipotle veg quesadilla which she said was excellent too. My only criticism was the food could have been a bit warmer. Definite recommend

Ein Mexikaner wie er sein soll,die wundervoll gestalteten Wände, wie uns der Kellner erzählte, von einer Mexikanerin gemalt und das ganze Ambiente passen perfekt zusammen. Auch gegen das Essen gibt es nichts einzuwenden.

As I walked the streets of London in order to find a good place to eat, I came across Cheeky Chicos. The name is catchy, but I didn't go for the name. It is a Mexican restaurant with very high prices and for some reason it didn't bother me to try something out. A test that I do before I sit down to order. I ordered the agua de jamiaca (Jamiaca water). If they rock their Jamiaca, I am in! Unfortunately, that didn't happened! The water was water down, no sugar... Jamiaca is sweet, cold when entered in your mouth it should wake you up and you will gasp "ooooo".... But for me all that didn't happened. I grabbed my Jamiaca to go and stepped outside.... Maybe next time, who knows...

Sirven dos tacos para llevar por £6. Están muy buenos, con un picante tolerable. El personal fue muy agradable y muy rápidos. Muy recomendable como comida rápida.

Pit stop before heading home from London. I had the tacos with fish, but it was battered fish which was odd it was ok but very expensive. My friend had a burrito but didn’t eat too much of it as it was quite spicy. Overall for a coffee, an apple juice a burrito, 2 tacos & some sweet potato fries it was £35. A little too much for a disappointing meal. The staff were great though!

This is casual but the service is really good and the food excellent. Nachos are a great starter while waiting and food is fast but nachos still worth it. Food is great and really good value. Great place for lunch or early dinner.

Absolutely amazing food, great place and great atmosphere. I had the fish quesadilla which was divine. Well presented, smallish restaurant which also sells great cocktails. Definitely worth booking a table to secure a place.

Me encontré con este restaurante por casualidad el otro día. La comida es estupenda y el servicio era igual de bueno. Nuestro camarero, Sr. Enis, era muy atento y se ocuparon de todas nuestras peticiones muy delicada. Los tacos eran geniales y la ensalada de pollo. No tuve la burritos, comprar mis hijos no y cuidaron enorme. Definitivamente vale la pena visitar de nuevo.

Found this gem after climbing St Paul’s cathedral. Would say it’s one of the best Mexican places I’ve been too, the nachos were amazing!!

Spotted this lovely little Mexican on the way back to my hotel. Ventured in after my run and was ready for some decent food. The food came super quick and I was a bit apprehensive given just how quickly it arrived. It was lovely! Hot, spicy and just what I was expecting. Service was great. Arrived just after 7.30 and by 8 there was no tables left. Buzzing.

Vinimos aquí para el almuerzo para el cumpleaños de un amigo, pedimos un pollo y un cerdo, el cerdo taco era mejor que el pollo. Tamaño de la porción no coincide con el precio, parecía como entrantes en vez de platos principales, y era bastante caro para lo que era. Yéndose, todavía estábamos hambrientos después, pero no quería perder más dinero en un puñado de comida. Hay muchos otros restaurantes mexicanos que sirven generosas porciones y cobrar menos, no volveremos por desgracia.

Siamo andati a cena in questo posto vicino all'albergo e soprattutto l'unico a farci mangiare a tarda serata. Abbiamo preso un burrito vegetariano, un nacos e 1 Corona per £27.

Nice decor and restaurant, friendly staff. Food was okay, a hint of curry though, which is unknown in Mexican food and portion was too small. My vegetarian dish had feta cheese, again not very Mexican. Overall a bit disappointed for the price, left hungry and wondering if the name "Cheeky Chicos" was a play in words to represent their cheeky flavours and portions.

We passed this on the way to the City of London Distillery (see separate review!), it was buzzing. So we decided to hop back to Chicos after we'd sipped. It was later, much quieter - so service and food were prompt. Our waitress was full of smiles and the lack of other patrons meant I could revel in the flamboyant decor! I liked the idea of partnering a dish with a way of serving, I opted for the Southern Fried Chicken served naked (so just rice, beans and sour cream) - it hit the spot for me. Let's be honest, this isn't food that's going to reinvent-the-wheel, but if you're after some unreconstructed Mexican fare, then be Cheeky!

Este era el único lugar en esa zona que sirve comida a las 10:00. En efecto personal ha sido muy amable. Sin embargo, la preparación de alimentos tardaron bastante tiempo y no han servido todos juntos. Aparte de eso, la mayoría de mis amigos y yo no hemos quedado contentos con la comida. Un montón de pimientos en vez de carne. . . No vale la pena.

We went to here on Saturday night for a family meal we where seated very quickly for there being 14 of us the starters and main meals where totally amazing even catered for my young cousin who didn't like Mexican food the servers where really good on helping out as this was our first visit they also took a family go to of us all n got us to stand on seats to be taken with there sign couldn't fault it from start to finish x they also gave the kids free hats when leaving xx

Disfrutamos de una comida encantadora en una visita familiar a Londres. Este restaurante estaba cerca de nuestro hotel y en primer lugar, no estaban seguros de si para comer allí, pero nos alegramos de haberlo hecho! . La comida era excelente y nuestro camarero Aineias fue magnífica. ! Nos lo pasamos estupendamente y disfrutamos muchísimo de la experiencia.

After being pleasantly shown to our table we ordered drinks and then food soon after. The drinks arrived but we were told the kitchen was busy and we would have to wait "5 or 6 minutes more than usual" for our food. Given the area and lunchtime clientele being mainly workers on a lunch break we assumed our food would take approximately 20 minutes in total. 50 minutes, and two reminders later (one of which we were told we were next only to see other tables then get served before us) we had to leave to get back to the office with no lunch. The waiter did waive our bill on two drinks but we'd rather have paid for drinks and have a timely meal - or have been given a genuine time frame for service initially so that we can decide whether to wait or go elsewhere.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Die Preise sind für London normal/günstig und die Cocktails waren lecker. Kann ich empfehlen:)

Brilliant colourful decor takes you into another world of the best of Mexican culture. Great staff and excellent food. Very helpful and given advice to create vegan options from standard menu items. We also loved the drinks options. Will definitely go again when we are next in London.

We stopped by for a quick bite. The waiter/ bartender was super friendly. Our order arrived very quickly - nachos, jalapeño poppers, guac, toastadas and sweet potato fries! All superb! I can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you for a great meal for five!

Wir sind per Zufall über dieses Restaurant gestolpert, haben unseren Besuch hier auf keinen Fall bereut. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Wir haben Poulet-Fajitas gegessen. Wir sind relativ früh hier eingetroffen und waren deshalb zuerst alleine. Das Restaurant hat sich aber dann rasch bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt. Wir würden hier auf jeden Fall wieder herkommen.

We got off the rail at Blackfriers, looking for a good place to eat. We are from the US and had never heard of Cheeky Chicos but decided to give them a try. It was excellent! I had chicken quesadillas and my husband and daughter had pork and beef burritos. We all raved how good the food was. We also had sweet potato fries and caramel ice cream. Everything was delicious! We definitely recommend this restaurant and would eat there again. It was reasonably priced and the server was very nice.
