Burrito Loco in Guildford

Visited the spectrum last weekend and ate at Burrito Loco, we shall be back for sure! We were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and how fresh and inviting the restaurant was considering it has been closed for some time due to covid. Have nothing but positive words to say about the food! Very tasty! Loaded fries were superb! Highly recommend!

Tried the high protein salad. Portion looked small initially but was actually quite filling and tasty. Pleasant service and quite prompt. Not ever so busy with reduced customers at the moment.

I ate at Burrito Loco yesterday and I have to say I was very very pleased with the food! The pricing is fair considering the portions are decent. The service was also very decent, the food came out quickly and the workers were very friendly. As far as Mexican food in Guildford goes, it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. I’ll be coming back for food the next time I’m in spectrum!

I love a burrito and I like choosing how hot and what fillings as they make it in front of you. None of this happens here and the end result was un-seasoned white rice, bland black beans chicken and lettuce with guacamole. No flavour and certainly no spice this was hugely disappointing compared to all competitors. I'll take a pack of plain wraps next time I visit Spectrum.

Sorry, but this is a very poor burrito (or some sort of substitute). I got a chopped lettuce, tomato sauce (plain and blant), pulled pork and rice, sour cream wrapped in a tortilla. No beans, corn, cheese, jalapeños or decent flavoursome salsa in there. Much to improve.

Came here today, after travelling to the Spectrum to purchase tickets for an ice-hockey match between Guildford Flames and Coventry, for myself and my 7 year old niece.I’ve never been particularly into Mexican food - it all seems a bit ‘samey’ - however the Loaded Chips with the vegetarian topping were really very nice indeed.The place was clean and staff were pleasant.

We visited yesterday and I would say this was okay...but not a patch on what the old unit in Guildford town used to be like. The products didn’t taste fresh, the Burrito wasn’t made in front of us and it just lacked punch. Branding was good and the service was alright, but we won’t be back in a hurry.

On their website it says they close at 9pm, so we drove there, closed early at 19:00 burritos are nice but I wont bother going again.

I have had the pleasure of travelling around much of the world in my life. Among these has been Mexico, and many parts of the States including one of my favorite restaurants, 'Chipotle'. Its hard pressed to find a restaurant that is on par with this.Burrito Loco does a great job of combining the authentic, tasty Mexican food at a budget pleasing price.Not only that but the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great!I like to visit and grab a couple of burritos, one to have then and another to keep cool to enjoy after a nights work or a workout! ;)

Six of us visited Saturday night and tried all three meat fillings and the flavours were excellent as were the fresh and I gather locally sourced salad items. The free tortilla chips on the side was an added bonus and with some interesting choices of soft drinks it made for a really tasty and great value meal. The staff were very friendly too.

The spectrum branch is so bad. It was just not tasty at all. It was really poorly wrapped and did not have much filling at all. They didn’t have any guacamole, refried beans, brown rice or whole meal wraps. The rice was extremely undercooked. They gave me a tiny tiny bit lettuce. Waste of money, really disappointed.

The food here is great! Went to their Spectrum restaurant in December and had a bbq chicken burrito, I couldn't recommend it more! Will be back again

Burrito was reallyyy tasty, went for vegi chilli alternative to meat option too and would thoroughly recommend even if u are not vegetarian, they also give complimentary nachos, 10/10 would eat here again

I've been to the Guildford Spectrum branch and the food was great. I ordered the burrito and the fully loaded chips and it was absolutely delightful. I especially loved the wide range of soft drinks that the place had to offer. I would definitely come here again.

Visited Burrito Loco at Guildford Spectrum. It was awful, I have only given 2 stars as the staff were so lovely, otherwise it would be just the 1 star.

Ordered from Deliveroo so I can't comment on the restaurant or the service but can on the food. While I accept that ordering from Deliveroo is akin to playing Russian roulette with food quality, I was surprised at the poor standard with which my burrito arrived - it was tiny, half filled, limp and soggy (full of juice and not much else.) Save your money and have a better food experience out of Tortilla down the road.

Tasteless and boring. When I eat a burrito I WANT FLAVOUR. Burrito loco did not do that for me. This is the third burrito restaurant I have eaten at in Guildford and by a long way in last place. Very disappointing

Staff are always bubbly and Friendly. The large burrito always fills me up and that's something for me! A good range of toppings are provided for free which not everyone does. Chicken is always good and salsa is tasty and hot! Cooled well by sour cream. Also a decent loyalty scheme that uses your mobile number sometimes gets you a freebie

Value for money, excellent food combined with lovely service from the relaxed girls that work there. Stress free and very enjoyable.

We went there, knowing little about the 'ins and outs' of burritos. The staff were helpful, advising us every step of the way. The food was tasty and very filling. It's on our 'must go back to' list.

Took my girlfriend here for dinner. Was blown away at the quality of the customer service! We were amazed to see the guac made fresh in store (unlike Tortilla). The large burrito was more than enough and it came with a free side of tortilla chips. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, tasty meal.

Veg Chile Burrito and Beef brisket Burrito with side orders of Guacamole. Very fresh indeed! If you like American style fast food then this fits perfectly. A worthy alternative to 5 Guys in our opinion..

No Mexican spice in anything: No paprika, no Cumin, no garlic powder, no onion granules, no chilli powder, no black pepper, no white pepper, no cayenne pepper.

Had a large burrito with 'all the trimmings'. Only at the til do you realise that all the trimming includes extras which are not in the price of a large burrito. When I questioned the price difference, was given a very abrupt answer as if I were a piece of dirt. Further queries were answered with 'have a nice day' and some quite unpleasant attitude.

I popped in on a bank holiday Monday evening because everywhere else was closed. The food was ok, and the service friendly. Mainly for take away I would recommend. Not a great ambience there for eating in.

We come to burrito loco a lot, great food, served fast (great when you have two small hungry children) we love the burritos and the children's quesadilla, the salad box is also great! Brownies finish off the meal really well too. Friendly and helpful staff and a great location, lovely to watch the busy street as you eat your lunch. We'll be back!

I visited here soon after they first opened and loved it but it appears to have gone downhill. I ordered a pork burrito from the menu with high expectations.The pork was dry, the rice was crunchy and the toppings lacked any real flavour. I was really underwhelmed.

I am in Burrito Loco at least once a week on average and the service and food is always fantastic. I normally see James or Milo when I come in but the whole team is friendly and extremely capable. Always chatty and food is never a disappointment. Highly recommended.

Been here several times - the staff are really friendly, the prices are reasonable and on top of that the food is delicious & healthy!Once, I went in with a girlfriend for valentine's day and was accidentally double charged - they refunded my instantly with little to no proof. Seeing as this is an independent restaurant, that really says a lot about there dedication to the customer.Also, much better than Tortilla - they actually talk to you as a human, not a money cow and it's cheaper and tastier as well. In my mind, no doubt of the quality of this place and compared to the other prices in Guildford, where I've lived for three years now, you can't beat it.

Thank you for existing! Healthy fast food in Guildford is unheard of, until now! Wholemeal bread and rice, sizeable portions of good meats, all the salad. Surrey students get up here, way nicer than tortilla...!Big thanks to James L for being so hospitable! Now i have a place to eat guilt free!

Had a great time at burrito loco, my friend who works there recommended it...and it did not disappoint! Great portions, fresh and delicious. The service was great and done with a smile, I wasn't sure what to get so my friend suggested the wholemeal burrito with extra guacamole... Delicious! Living in Brighton there are loads of Mexican places but this one stood out because of the food and service. Highly advised visits to my other mates who live in Surrey, as I do to whoever reads this!

First restaurant I have ever been to in Guildford, who's food literally compelled me to tell everyone I know. Just super friendly service and fun atmosphere, coupled with quality ingredients seems to be what this place is all about and that's just fine with me. All the other Burrito places I've tried before haven't got anywhere close to these guys. If the troops at the office are looking for a light, quality lunch, this is the place to get down to. Whatever you choose to have, get them to pile on some of their homemade guacamole with a fresh squeeze of lime - its just on point! Other nice touches are the free wifi and multiple power points available to plug into if you need to get on with some work while you eat. Needless to say, they have new regular in me!Keep doing what you're doing Burrito Loco!

I have been to Burrito Loco quite a few times over the past 6 months or so, and I have to say, to this day I have yet to find a better Burrito! The service is always impeccable, and the staff seem genuinely enthusiastic to please and you can tell, they really do love Burritos! I particularly enjoy dealing with James, his unique wit never fails to put a smile on my face and he's always suggesting new combinations, which always seem to surpass expectation. Would I recommend? 100% without a doubt

I came for lunch on a busy Saturday (5th November). The food was lovely, inexpensive and was served extremely quickly. The staff were so friendly and really made an effort to ensure their customers were happy, regardless of the fact that they were rushed off their feet as it was a busy Saturday lunch time. There's a fair few burrito places in Guildford, but this is by far my favourite!

I stopped into burrito loco just to have a look and ended up buying a burrito and some tacos. The staff were super friendly and funny and the food was delicious. I don't normally eat this type of food but thanks to the two servers I was happily persuaded and was not disappointed. Great food and great service!

This was my second time visiting burrito loco as I was so impressed with my first visit however I'm unsure I will be returning. We arrived at 8:30, it took about 15 minutes to order on a subway style burrito counter as the man serving us was so unenthusiastic and slow. There were next to no ingredients left at 8:30 so we paid £8 for burritos that had scrapes of refried beans and a small heap of rice as the contents were sparse, it was quite embarrassing. The staff member who served us was very strange and spoke negatively of the food and slushes, whilst serving us scraps of whatever was left from the end of the day. When we eventually sat down (15 minutes later) the three burritos we had were all cold!!! All in all, we won't be rushing back unfortunately, a shame!

The large burrito is listed as 12 inches but in reality was about 6. The rice in the burrito was undercooked and hard, the food was also cold. Its a shame because the beef barbacoa is really good and the salsa was nice too (though the pico de gallo wasnt great).

Lovely tacos with yummy toppings and sides, the kids loved them too! Friendly kind staff, giving the kids tastes of sauce on a nacho to help them decide.

First time we have eaten at Burrito Loco and definitely not the last! The staff are really lovely and attentive without being annoying. The girls quickly made our 2 burritos to our spec and the gent rang them up, even bringing them to our tables which was not necessary but lovely none the less. The burritos themselves were delicious, faster service than Maccys or KFC and 100x tastier. This little place is an absolute gem and we will most definitely be coming back!

If you just want to grab something quick, in a cool, relaxed atmosphere, it's well worth a look.The staff were very nice and sold their products well. But be warned: the large is really large... I could barely move afterwards...

This is my favourite place to get a bite to eat when in and around guildford. It's quick, easy, delicious and reasonable food. Really friendly staff and the salted caramel brownies might just be the best thing ever!

This place has such a vibrant atmosphere. I love how everything has been locally sourced and how it is an independent restaurant. I've had many great meals from here, my favourite being a chicken burrito - great value for money. Would rather go here than any of the chains in Guildford as its a whole better experience all together. The staff are lovely - so friendly and helpful and the manager Miguel is brilliant. I eat here all the time and would recommend to anyone I know !!!

I do enjoy a good burrito. More so I enjoy good food. Furthermore, this place takes the meaning of good up a notch. It's not great but it's a solid 8 out of 10. Nice decor but quality of product could be improved upon.

A good place for a snack and many times better than McD's or BKing and alike. However my burrito was a bit watery. Perhaps the sauce bottles had not been shaken enough. I will give it another go and try a frozen margarita..

The food is nice enough and I'd happily eat it again but I found the portion/price paid ratio was a little on the stingy side. I didn't feel like I had eaten a fair meal for the money I handed over - and it was a large that I had!

It's exactly what you need when you're in a hurry. Good selection ingredients for your burrito. My pulled port was a little cold but it looked like they'd just opened the door for the day (just after 12) so probably took some time to warm up. The queue is out the door at lunchtime so that's a good sign. Will definitely pop in again.

I visited Burrito Loco for the first time the other day and I will be sure to return again soon! The food was delicious and very authentic. There is such a great range of fillings and toppings, which gives you the option to make your burrito very healthy! Everything is very reasonably priced - I managed to get a 2 large burritos with drinks for under £15! The staff were warm and friendly and the shop had a nice relaxed vibe.

10/10 definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food! I eat here on average once, maybe twice a week. It's my favourite of all my tummy treats. The staff are friendly and engaging and really care about you enjoying your meal. The ingredients are all locally sourced and fresh, oozing of quality.Generous helpings too. One of the best places to eat. By far. Definitely make your Burrito a Loco Juan. Yep. I said that in a review.

Believe it or not I'd never have a burrito before! Stopped off, walked in to a real good vibe. Prices are well priced with a fantastic menu range. I had the 10 inch burrito, and even tried one of their new frozen margheritas!SHALL be returning again. Couldn't recommend this place more!!

I love Mexican food so was so excited to try this restaurant when it opened! The burritos here are so good and filled with flavour and they also do a kids meal which I sometimes have when I can't manage a whole burrito as they're very filling! Really recommend the Mexican brownies for pudding! All good value for money! Lovely friendly staff always cheerful and happy to help, the shop has a cool vibe to it! Can't wait to go back really recommend this place!

Nothing special to report here, food is okay but just that. The menu is also composed of lots of extras so in the end what looks reasonable becomes expensive. There are much better and more authentic alternatives for south of the border food in Guildford now.

Sorry guys, I really want to love this place as enjoy a good burrito, but this really isn't the one! The food is just not very tasty when you compare to other Mexican restaurants / takeaways. I've had the burrito twice and both times was left feeling a bit disappointed - Mexican food should be fresh and full of flavour but this was lacking both. Sorry - maybe I'll swing back round in a few weeks to see if its improved. On the plus side its reasonably priced and the service is friendly.

Otherwise amazing food! I ordered a large chicken burrito and nachos with guac and salsa through Deliveroo and the service was quick, the food was not especially out there or noteworthy creatvity-wise but was still soooo goood! Definitely come here for lunch or lunch +dinner because they're so filling and not bad price-wise either.

Some friends and I visited this location for a burrito on Friday night and there were many positives; - Good flavours - Good drink selection - Nice locationHowever, elements of the burrito were stone cold (I don't think they heated the actual wrap for long enough) and they had ran out of a few ingredients.It wouldn't stop me going back, but I won't be rushing to do so.

Had so many recommendations to come here so we popped in for some pre show munch last night. The staff are very friendly and happy to make any combination you want - making their own personal recommendations. We both had large burritos with delicious, moist meat and yummy extras. It was all delicious and very filling! Amazing value, great addition to local food experiences!

My daughter has been singing the praises of Burrito Loco for some time and finally I have experienced it for myself. So glad I did. The Burritos were large and delicious with a great selection of fresh toppings to suit your taste buds. The Burritos come in medium or large sizes and I would advise only going for the large one if you are very hungry. Service was a bit slow, they needed three people serving at lunchtime as opposed to two, and I am not sure why you have to pay extra to have beef and/or guacamole but otherwise it was a good experience and I will definitely be going back.

Great place to go in and have a quick bite. I love the spicy veggie burritos. the fill the burritos generously and you can take a loyalty card and get freebies.

My friend and I usually eat in Wagamama or Turtle Bay when we visit Guildford but fancied a change and when we spotted Burrito Loco we decided to try it. The place is spotlessly clean and really cosy. I opted for the veggie chilli burrito in a wholemeal tortilla while my friend has the veggie chilli salad box. The food was tasty, fresh and filling. Both of our meals with a soft drink each cost less than £15 which is such a bargain. If you want a cheap, tasty and filling quick meal full of flavour give this place a try. :) We will be back!

We stumbled across this lovely little place whilst looking for somewhere to have lunch. Burritos were delicious and great that you can choose the separate fillings-especially for my fussy eater husband!! The only downside is the premises, only a few tables so makes it more of a fast food place. Ok for lunch but not dinner. Would be lovely to have a Mexican restaurant in Guildford.

Have been meaning to stop here for ages and finally treated myself for lunch yesterday. I went for the salad option (basically the contents of a burrito in a pot rather than a wrap) and enjoyed it, although I'm not sure their claim that it is the healthy option is very accurate! Will probably come back but not sure it is as good as Mission in Reading.

We stumbled on Burrito Loco when looking for lunch in Guildford and were delighted with what we found. Burritos are commonplace now but BL have upped the game with the range they provide. Whole meal wraps and an excellent choice of filings is terrific. Also try their good range of beers. Very organised operation too. Even when busy they get through orders quickly enough.

Great range of choice when it comes to fillings, they have everything you could want in a burrito and you watch it being made in front of you, the price is fairly reasonable for eating out in Guildford.

I'm from California so have pretty high standards for Mexican food, granted. I grew up eating it and have had it delivered many, many times. We went here one night for a burrito after a long night and it was pretty bad, but they had just opened so decided to try again (I really miss Mexican food!). This time we had it delivered by Deliveroo. I ordered the steak tacos, my husband the quesadillas and an order of the nachos to share. All was vile. I'm not talking so-so here, it was absolutely inedible. The nachos came in one big, stuck-together blob - the cheese was HARD and if you picked up a chip, the rest came with it. The tacos - well they couldn't be called that. I tried to pick it up and it completely fell apart. The shell was soaked through completely and was a big pile of mush. Bad tasting, terribly flavored mush, at that. Husbands quesadillas were mediocre at best but at least slightly edible. It was an absolutely horrendous experience and if anyone actually likes this food then I suggest you book an appointment with your GP and get your taste buds and eyes checked out!!

A must go if you like Mexican or are looking for a good meal with some added kick. Food is great, the staff are friendly and the overall atmosphere is nice. The only thing that ruined it was the flowery table cloths, but that's just my opinion.

Nice and firefly staff with a great food. The quality of the ingredients was good and I'd recommend it if you crave a hot and spicy taco or burrito. I'd suggest to order a beef soft shell taco with red beans and lettuce and of course add guacamole to it with their hot chilli.The brownie we had for desert was aloud but chewy but nice. You defiantly need to share your food with someone as their plates are huge.
