This place is great! Really delicious, authentic tacos & margaritas. Which is not easy to find! I like this place a lot.

Great cocktails, lovely authentic Mexican tacos and food. Cannot rate it highly enough. I implore you to visit this restaurant if you a local or a tourist in Bristol.

Came here prior to a visit to the hippodrome. Limited menu and unable to see menu online before we booked, no chilli or other choice other than nachos, tacos & quesadillas. Service good but food pricey but freshly cooked. Would not return due to limited menu.

I had the black bean burrito with plantain and it was the best burrito ever had! It was made of fresh ingredients and full of flavours - not too spicy and just so delicious. It’s perfect for me because I sometimes go on my own if I’m in town and need a bite to eat. Its warm and friendly which beats the other restaurants in Bristol. The staff seem happy and like they enjoy their jobs and that’s important to me when I eat somewhere. I’ll definitely be going back!

Went for a quick dinner with a friend. Service was good, if at times slightly awkward. Food was OK, not great. They had no chicken which reduced the menu a lot. Not sure why they didn’t get some bought in (it was 7pm). Lots of the sauces are a bit too sweet.

Loved everything about this place! We had the meat sharing platter along with a few different cocktails and tequilas and genuinely couldn't fault any of it! Great value for what you get! The staff were super friendly and we were big fans of the playlist. Would defo recommend!!

We initially booked a table for 15 people, which eventually turned into 11. The staff at downtown taqueruia were fantastic at dealing with changes last minute. We pre ordered from the menu and everything was spot on. They were speedy with the drinks service and always smiling and happy to help us out. Its not easy to deal with a massive table and we were all super pleased with the service as well as the amazing food. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

I had x3 tacos for £10 - the chorizo ones. They were delicious but didn’t really fill me up (there wasn’t any other dishes on the menu, other than tacos/queasidilla or crisps/dips) - I was kind of expecting more rice/ burrito dishes. Anyway, after I finished my tacos I ordered a portion of nachos/dips - these looked super pretty but were super oily and left a bowl of water in the bottom? The cocktails were interesting... very very very small and so strong they almost tasted like petrol. The vibe was chilled and relaxed but the food could’ve been better. The waiter seemed to be busy so we ended up walking up to the bar to order and pay. Was quite surprised they also added a 10% service charge to the bill.

Great atmosphere on a Saturday night with drinks and food served really fast! Menu was simple but brilliant options of tacos and a few other dishes. Would highly recommend quesadillas and palomas! All food was obviously made fresh with highly quality ingredients. Very reasonable pricing for such tasty food!

We came here for a Saturday dinner and anticipated it might be quite busy so were pleasantly surprised to be greeted and seated quickly. The restaurant decor is bright, with custom posters and a large bar serving cocktails, tequila and mescal. We ordered some drinks along with a starter to share then the sharing platter. Service was reasonably prompt, not at all pushy, and friendly. Our quesadilla arrived to start and was full of ingredients and flavour, swiftly followed by the sharing platter of six meat and fish tacos. All were brimming with fresh ingredients (meat, salsa and salad) and absolutely delicious - we both agreed the shredded chicken taco with its hot salsa was our favourite. We finished our meal with a couple of tequilas and a mescal each, heading up to the bar to peruse the selection with the help of the staff. The bill was very reasonable for the two of us - we had drinks, a starter and sharing platter, tequila and mezcal. Will definitely be back and certainly recommend it!

Fantastic Mexican food from the guacamole starters to the Meat taco sharing platter, all so fresh, delicious and more-ish. Best Mexican Food establishment in Bristol. Didn’t know what to expect and even the kids tucked in. We will most definitely be returning soon. Great service from all staff.

A relatively recent opening on the site of a short lived French restaurant, this is apparently a Mexican street food/tapas joint, but from the pale pink and blue colour scheme, it looks more like a kid’s sweet shop or desert parlour. The friendly waitress brought us a jug of water and took our drinks order whilst we perused the menu. As far as the drinks go, there was a small selection of cocktails as well as several tequilas and mezcals. However, as we had missed happy hour by about ten minutes, we decided to just go for a bottle of Corona. This could definitely have done with being a bit more chilled, and at the equivalent of £7.57 per pint (including service charge) was quite outrageously expensive. The menu was primarily different types of tacos with a few quesadillas and tortilla chips available as smaller dishes. We started with the guacamole tortilla chips which were also served with chipotle ketchup, coconut yoghurt and pico de gallo (a type of tomato salsa). The tortilla chips were unusual in that they were a dark green colour, presumably made with spinach or something similar, and they did have something of this taste about them. It wasn’t a bad dish, but the toppings were somewhat unevenly distributed leading to us eating many plain chips. As usual there was plenty on the top to make it look impressive, but we quickly came to a number of plane ones, only to find a load more salsa lurking at the bottom of the bowl when we had finished all the chips. We then went for one of the taco sharing selections, which were available in meat, vegetarian or vegan versions. We opted for the meat ones, and started off with a quesadilla stuffed with chicken, chipotle adobo, jalapeño mayo, pico de gallo, guacasaca and chipotle ketchup. This was cut in to four and was really very tasty, it had a decent kick to it without being overpowering and was a very good start to the meal. Next up was a trio of taco dishes, one belly pork cooked in it’s own dripping with oranges, lemons, limes, jalapeño mayo, pico de gallo, apple and jalapeño sauce; one that was much the same as the quesadilla and finally one with fried cod in a paprika and masa flour crust, served with an anchovy and caper herb salsa, more jalapeño mayo and salse verde. Taste wise, I didn’t really think that there was that much difference between them, and even the one that from the menu description seemed to be same as the quesadilla didn’t seem nearly as tasty. They were all ok, but none of them outstanding or exceptional. A little disappointing after such a tasty start. The only other problem was trying to eat them, which much of the filling falling out you really did need a fork or something. Perhaps they’re going for an authentic street food experience, but in that case they need to drop the 10% service charge. I’ve never had that at a street food vendor. Presumably deserts are not offered here, since on finishing our main courses we were only asked if we would like more beer. Overall, I thought this was decent enough for a casual snack. All the staff were very friendly and the food was all perfectly ok. Not necessarily somewhere I’d rush back to, but then neither would I object to going again.
