Very accommodating! Great Staff, Great Atmosphere, Great Food!

Very good, went for my partner's birthday. I had the Mexican Chicken, a bit like butter chicken, with coriander and pepper, very nice. My partner had a fajita, which comes served on a skillet and you make your own with 4 wraps. We had their onion rose starter, which is a bit like a massive onion bhaji. I'm stuffed. Thank you and goodnight.

We had a family meal at cook house yesterday and the service was lovely and friendly, what food we had was nice. But the price was ridiculous for the serving size. An £12 chicken salad was a plate of lettuce with about four shreds of chicken (not even half a breast) and a drizzle of dressing. The small plates are hugely overpriced for the size. £12 for a slice of focaccia and a few mushrooms, £9 for a small slice of bitter cheesecake. While staff were lovely and there’s a nice atmosphere it’s definitely more about being a bit pretentious than value for money!

The only good thing about the restaurant was the Ambience. Lady server was sweet and helped in selection of food. Food was alright, portions are smaller than the exorbitant price you pay for. The boy server was cocky and had an attitude. Terrible customer service. Despite pointing out the undercooked chicken, he had an attitude, zero attention by the chef to atleast come out and seek the problem. He cleared the plates without giving attention to the problem and only just highlighted its double cooked, which one can see from pictures 😞, its not. I’ cook chicken everyday and I know what cooked chicken looks like. Paid a high price for what we had and charged an unjustified service fee for a cocky attitude Never returning again. Excellent Sunday Lunch. Good meals during the week too. The tagine and hanging skewers were very good.

Disgusting service from this business… ordered and failed to deliver. The staff showed no remorse or attempted to resolve. Will never use this unprofessional set up again

Tried for nine days to book a table for tomorrow no one ever answer the phone. Can't find opening times anywhere. Bur it says open no one ever answer the phone

Superb range of proper ciders. A lovely place, with a bit of a ‘someone’s kitchen’ vibe about it, and I mean that in a good way.

Really good food and service, would recommend the mixed grill platter.

We always buy food from here but today's experience was not as good. now they started to put the sauce inside the sandwiches and they have put the wrong chilli sauce for me instead of garlic so really all the 6 sandwiches were ruined. They offered to replace the sandwiches though and took the old ones. I would rather having the sauce aside like before.

Booked well in advance for a table of ten. There was a wait for the table with very limited space to stand at the bar. Once seated the service was fairly slow but the menu was comprehensive. Service continued to be slow throughout the evening and staff were less than attentive. Most of the meals were fine. A steak was ordered medium but arrived tough and cremated. Pleasant evening but nothing special.

Just been for Sunday lunch as a large family and it was absolutely amazing one of the best dinners around. So good, definitely recommend. And so cheap for the quality and service
