Absolutely delicious fresh food. Delivery was prompt! It is somewhat expensive however the portion sizes are great.

First time visiting, Great choice of meat free starters and the sea bream was lovely. Will be returning to try more of the menu.

My friend and I decided to try somewhere new for dinner and we were not disappointed. The staff were super friendly and helpful and Yugen made sure to help my friend with her lactose intolerance when looking through the menu. The food was delicious and well presented, and the wine recommendation was perfect. I will definitely be going back again in the future

Not bad. I just finished church service and saw this restaurant on the way. I came in and asked the waiter to recommend dishes. After trying them, they were good and suitable for Chinese stomachs. It is worth recommending.

Great menu - lots to choose from. Food was delicious and service quick and efficient. Staff were welcoming and attentive - even when we queried the bill (they were right, we just couldn't do the maths! Haha!) We were there for late lunch and it was quiet, so we had plenty of time to eat and chat but can imagine it gets busy at peak times. Highly recommend.

We ate here on Christmas Eve. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious especially the lamb shanks. The cocktails were also well worth the money. We couldn't fault it and I am only sorry that we live so far away. Otherwise it would definitely be a firm favorite.

Fantastic staff and food highly recommended

My friend and I went for lunch today on a day trip yo Durham. We went for the two course lunch option and were not disappointed. I had calamari followed by the sea bream both of which came with a gorgeous salad. My friend had the pan fried sardines and a vegetarian dish. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. We also both had a glass of wine. The service and food was excellent and the restaurant is very central. I only put 4 for the atmosphere as quiet when we went in which was probably the time we went. Would go again, great value for money.

Came in for a quick lunch. Absolutely loved it. Every part of the food was delicious. Fantastic portion sizes. Chilli sauce was amazing, fresh Turkish bread for dipping. Had a Turkish coffee which was perfect. The other brilliant thing about this place was the servers. So funny, attentive and friendly. We told them we were in a rush and they brought out food and drinks at such speed. Refreshing to see such good service. Would have to fight me to stop me coming here again. Thanks!

We were staying the weekend in Durham and this restaurant came recommended by friends so we booked for Saturday night. Are we glad we did. Its very busy, but worth checking out. Great food, funny, friendly staff whom seem to genuinely enjoy what they are doing. Book, you wont be disappointed, all four of us would return when in Durham next. A credit to the city. Im sure the restaurant is lovely, the staff are and the food tastes great. But do not order via Just Eat. They do not deliver. The staff (restaurant) were very friendly and helped as much as they could but our food did not arrive and Just Eat charged for it. This unfortunately has to be my review of my experience. The restraunt should do away with them ASAP.

My friend was pleased with the garlic mushrooms she chose for her first course. I opted for falafel which was ok, the accompanying hummus was good. Both chose vegetarian moussaka for main course, which was excellent. Service was initially ok but marred by the waitress who took payment and spoke and behaved in a very curt, abrupt manner. Probably wouldn’t stop me from going back but I would be more keen on returning if people were well mannered

The staff were quite blunt and impatient. Honestly, the food wasn’t great, and to make matters worse, I was up half the night being sick. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were ok, she didn’t understand English very well. The waitress at the end asked if I wanted my food packed and I said yes but she didn’t pack it in the end and ended up throwing it all away which was disappointing as I had a lot of food left over. Food wasn’t the best, I wouldn’t go here again.

Falafel and hummus were as dry as the desert. Falafel was not tasty. The chicken shish was delightful. El Nazik kebab is amazing. Highly recommended. The iskander kebab was nice. The temperature is too cold and some dishes arrived cold.

Food was stone cold when it arrived very late. Once reheated it was very tasty.

The place was freezing cold even the waitress was walking around with a scarf on service was bad it felt like we wernt wanted there didn't even get eye contact from staff who served us and the food was far from great I was realy dissapointed as there is so much other good choices in the area

We called in on a busy Saturday afternoon and were lucky to get the last table. Therefore, I'd advise booking in advance if you really want to eat here as it is understandably popular. The service was prompt and staff were attentive throughout the meal. We ordered starters and mains and they were fresh, hot and utterly delicious. The wine was tasty too. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the whole experience was a real treat. We will 100% be back.

I visited the restaurant with my daughter last night. I had a problem that was so professionally dealt with by the lovely owner and staff that I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. The food, wine and customer service was second to none. Highly recommended

Nice food, attentive service but felt pressured to get out. We hadn't booked and arrived about 6pm. It got busy quick and the service and food came super fast. They were obviously keen to turn over covers asap, which detracts from the experience. Would definitely go again.

Had a meal there on the 03,01,25 me and the wife never booked a table just walk in staff very helpful food spot on wife had mussels and I had garlic mushrooms for starters, then we had the sharing platter which was delicious and plenty for both of us,I had cheesecake after,this was our first time there and we be back,very clean very good and staff very friendly lovely little place

We ordered the Beetroot Tarator, Baba Ganoush, the Chicken and Lamb spicy pots with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The food came quickly, all the dishes were good quality, generous portions and very tasty. Beetroot Tarator was a new experience, Beetroot mixed with yoghurt and tahini. Both starters went exceptionally well with the wine which was reasonably priced and very cold (a good thing!). Service was friendly and efficient.

Rude waiting staff, ask for coca cola and they bring you Pepsi, ask for lemonade and then bring you Pepsi with no apologies. Food has obviously been sat in fridges from the day before as it comes out so quickly and is very dry. No one smiles and had to wait ages to be served and pay for the bill. Lemon meringue pie was the worst I have ever had and probably been sat in the fridge for a week. Atmosphere was cold and toilets dirty. Save yourself the pain and go elsewhere. Not worth the effort or money. They didn't even care when I pointed out the poor food. Avoid

Staff are so lovely and attentive and made us feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door! We were deciding where to go for food and seen the special lunch menu they had advertised outside. It was our first time and won’t be our last! We got Tzatziki, calamari and hummus to start and it was delicious! Very fresh and quick turnaround. For our mains, I got a stuffed aubergine dish alongside some stir fried veg and my boyfriend got a stuffed bell pepper dish. All were huge portions and amazing value for money. I can’t wait to return!!

Visited Turkish Kitchen as a party of 3. First time trying this restaurant. We hadn't booked and despite the restaurant being really busy they found us a table. Food was incredible. All the staff were polite and friendly. Service was extremely quick. We had brie and calamari to start, mixed shish, beyti chicken and chicken iskender for mains. All absolutely delicious. This place is a gem and we will 100% return. Thank you.

Warmly welcomed at lunchtime. I had a choice of tables, but I would book ahead next time because it got busier around 1pm. I had a plentiful bowl of mixed salad and a lamb kofte which were both of excellent quality. Service was excellent, quick, and well organised. Definitely worth returning to!

Got myself spicy sausage and beef mousakka. The spicy sausage was so tasty I think it would be perfect if I had ordered rice to pair it with. By the time I am done, I was almost full so I didn’t get the chance to really enjoy the moussaka. Not because it’s not good but because the serving’s too huge for me! It was tasty and well seasoned. Would really love to dine in again to try their feta salad and kofte dishes! Service was quick and staff were very attentive to the guests.

Excellent food and fab service 👌

Went on 24th September with my son for my Birthday and been several times previously. Food amazing, staff amazing and atmosphere excellent 👍👌 Honestly it's the best Restaurant arround 🙏

It was a busy Friday night and we were just in time to get the only unreservered table - and we impressed with the food from start to finish. We shared a hummus starter with warmed pitta pieces - it was a delicious hummus, then for our mains the meat on the shish kebab was so flavoursome and cooked to perfection, and the aubergine vegetarian option was a proper meal too. Usually I find baklava too sweet but gambled as everything else was excellent - it was the best baklava I've tasted. The whole meal was just over £60 including a glass of wine. This will be on our priority list next time we come to Durham.

Had a great evening meal here over August bank holiday weekend. Restaurant was full and had a great vibe, felt authentic. Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Our meals were delicious but be warned, portion sizes are big, be prepared! Highly recommend.
