The Bake One in Newcastle upon Tyne

We always buy food from here but today's experience was not as good. now they started to put the sauce inside the sandwiches and they have put the wrong chilli sauce for me instead of garlic so really all the 6 sandwiches were ruined. They offered to replace the sandwiches though and took the old ones. I would rather having the sauce aside like before.

A group of us visited yesterday afternoon, the food was amazing and the service was great, nothing was too much bother, I'd definitely go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Take your own drinks if you visit this super restaurant 😋😋😋

He querido probar Bake One durante siglos. Aproveché para celebrar mi graduación. A la llegada, recibimos una bienvenida genuina y cálida, y nos sentamos rápidamente. Pan y chapuzones pronto siguieron. Ordenó el Mega plato, hornear una ensalada y papas fritas sazonadas para compartir. Comida más que suficiente para 3 , podría haber servido fácilmente a 4 / 5 personas. (Lo que no comimos, lo tuvimos para el almuerzo del día siguiente) La comida fue cocinada en una cocina abierta muy ocupada. (no esconderse de la mirada de los clientes) La calidad de la comida, el sabor y el tamaño de la porción eran nada menos que excelente. Como el restaurante es libanés, puede traer su propio alcohol, con el que estarán encantados de ayudarle. (Vidrios y tornillos de corcho, etc) El agua embotellada que pedimos era de cortesía, lo que fue una sorpresa. Al dejar de fumar en el mega plato (habiendo encajonado alrededor de 1 / 3 ) , se nos presentó un pudín de cortesía. (Pudín de leche libanés tradicional aromatizado con agua de rosas) En general, una experiencia gastronómica magnífica con un servicio amable. Sin duda volveré para probar algunos de los otros platos en el menú. Recomiendo - Sí Volvería - Sí

Been a customer for YEARS and then I receive a takeaway with a dagger shaped LARGE piece of white plastic in a salad which sliced open my cheek. Restaurant response is to refund the salad. That’s it. There are no words for this disgrace. I am angry, disgusted, out of pocket and INJURED!

Fantastic food sitting in or takeaway. They forgot to put halloumi in the bag so I rang up, they dropped it round in 10 minutes- class!

Food is good, above average. Bit cramped inside. Service could be a lot better.

This place is truly one of the best Lebanese restaurants i have had, we had a long drive up from Cambridge and already popped into another place to eat which was awful then found this and was pleasantly surprised with the great tasting food and 5* service by Abdulla. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting decent Lebanese food. Thank you

We had a table for 10 people booked for lunch on a Sunday, 6 adults and 4 young children. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond, and the food was absolutley incredible. It was our first time actually inside the restaurant as we have been takeaway customers for a few years now, but will definitely be returning.

My experience is only with deliveries, not eating in. I’ve experienced the poorest experience ever with late deliveries & rude staff that kept on patronizing me and telling me that I should drive myself if I want it to be delivered on time, and proceeded to cancel my order.

Seriously, good food. Everything was delicious. Excellent service from the front of hour team. Highly recommend.

I decided to give it a go again due to the buy one get one free pizza deal in Uber , big REGRET! It was the worst meal ever, the pizza was dry bland with barely any toppings, and the shawarma special wrap was just empty toasted wrap with barely any meat in it for £9.50 honestly save your money and just buy from shawarma Beirut much better shawarma with meat in it, unlike the bake who skimm on meat , they charge crazy money for empty wraps!!! Worst Arabic restaurant in town.

I’ve been ordering takeout from The Bake One in Gosforth for years which is always amazing and recently went into the restaurant for food and it was just as good! I don’t think I’ve ordered anything from this place and been disappointed. Everything tastes delicious and I’ll keep on ordering from here!

One of my favourite restaurants for the past few years! The food is always delicious and well presented, eat in or home delivery. We visited for dinner and the service was exceptional. We had a lovely time!

We are regulars at Bake One, Gosforth & mostly come when we look in the fridge and decide to let someone else cook for us! The quality, taste, freshness and attention to detail is second to none. If you want a real treat try the Prawn Provisal. The mega king prawns are so big you would want to meet them in the sea! The Bake mixed chicken is to die for. And it’s all at exceptional value. A great touch is that the restaurant is BYO , so if you fancy a bottle of wine to wash everything down it’s at your own cost. Have never been disappointed here. Give it a try.

I want to start off with the fact I never normally complain or put a bad review up however, I am appalled at the customer service in this place.  I.To start off on Saturday the 15th of June ,  I had ordered the bake one king mixed grill and after explaining to my boyfriend how unreal the bake one is , I was struck with the worst one I have had. I have been ordering from the bake one gosforth since it has opened and never had a bad experience until this. I understand Saturday is busy but it's still NOT okay.I opened up my order excited to tuck in , a bit of the lamb was a bit grisly but nothing unedible. I was enjoying it until I tucked into one of the chicken cubes (I can be a bit funny with chicken so I take my time) . I bit into it and felt like it was a bit jelly like so I spat it out and took apart the rest of the chicken cube and saw again jelly like substance and red . Raw Chicken. ( picture posted) . I immediately logged it with just eat and rung the bake one as I was put off my food after that . They offered a new one to be sent out , I said I just wanted a refund as it put me off eating full stop. They had rung me 3-4 times then said they would send a driver out to pick up the food then they would ring me with an outcome. The food was picked up but never heard back.On the 20th of June I had realised just eat hasn't been in touch nor was there any account credit or refund being processed. I proceeded to ring bake one again to chase this up as just eat have next to no customer service either.  Again, was past from pillar to post with no answers on what's happening. They had given me just eat number , I rung the number given and the first line said it wasn't for customer service but actually for restaurants and drivers to log things .I had then rung bake one once again explaining that and again gave my order number as apparently this has now been taken away from the system log. They had said a manager will be in touch.They rung me later that evening saying again that I would have to chase this with just eat by ringing , which again I stated that it wasn't for customer service and that I felt dissatisfied with how this has been dealt with. Anyone handling foods knows the importance of following a protocol when dealing with poorly prepared food as usually it is drilled in all workers heads. The man on the phone stated that the chicken wasn't raw and that's how it was cooked. I'm not stupid I know what raw chicken looks like. I understand how some food places the way they cook chicken can still look a bit red however, when ate not have a jellylike substance that indicates that It was raw. Either way this isn't how any business should deal with a complaint . Especially not regarding food.In the end the man said he would contact just eat himself friday 21st June and if the refund hasn't been processed by 5pm , he would get a driver to drop off the moneys . I was grateful for this conclusion , however personally I would be concerned if I had a food business and someone complained about poorly prepared food which can make someone not well . I have rung again chasing this refund Friday 20th of June . As a paying customer I should NOT be waiting nearly a week for a refund on poorly cooked chicken . Being told I need to wait for a manager to be in well who deals with complaints when the main manager isn’t in ? Surely there’s a supervisor that will be able to help as I can imagine the manager rarely being in the restaurant. Also being told “I told you , you need to contact just eat” after a good handful of times of me explaining that there is no customer service number or email etc otherwise I genuinely would of . I shouldn’t have to tell a business how to deal with stuff like this and that they need to contact just eat on my behalf (just like how just eats options state when you do ring the number) . If this was my restaurant and I got given a complaint regarding poorly prepared food I would personally be chasing it up with both just eat and the paying customer to ensure that a refund does go through .

Good lebanese restaurant. Can try some shawarma and grill chicken or lamb. Don’t go for kabsah chicken if you think it’s like Mandhi or Kabsah from south india we get. It’s different.

Recently, I had been here twice to order a takeaway and both the times I had to leave frustrated. No one was willing to take the order, I waited for 10 mins each time, but all the staff were in the kitchen chit chatting. Not sure why they can't respect there customers and stick to work ethics. Horrible I can confirm that this experience was at The Bake One, High Street, Gosforth branch, as I stay close by.

A great night for a chill dinner with family and friends. The baby chicken, Shish kebab lamb and mountabal were really nice.

We always get chicken grill dish - delicious, hot and usually quick delivery. One of the few consistently reliable good takeaway options in local area. Definitely recommend 👌🏻
