Disgusting service from this business… ordered and failed to deliver. The staff showed no remorse or attempted to resolve. Will never use this unprofessional set up again

Welcomed by Mo, who recognised us from previous visits. The food was very good. Wine, recommended by Mo, was a very good accompaniment to the food. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Lovely family feel restaurant. We will be going back.

Lovely little place on Chillingham Road. Couldn't ask for better service, chef/owner really cares about the food and it shows as the food was delicious! We visit regularly and recommend to friends.

We had to play a game of spot the chicken in the chicken wrap, turns out they was about 5g of protein worth. And the meat I did get was chewy. Best things were the chips, rice and bread. Best off paying slightly more and going to Lezzet.

Fantastic food and truly excellent service from Rhianna - welcoming, informative and incredibly helpful. We had a table of four with a mixed mezze and bread for starter, followed by two mixed grills, a chicken wrap and a mixed chicken and lamb shish. All brilliant. Lovely tea and Turkish delight afterwards too. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Friendly service and a nice ambience in this small Turkish restaurant. Fair prices for these days. The food was tasty enough, but I knocked a star off as there was little veggie choice in the main courses, only two 'Guveç' dishes and the portion size was disappointingly small.

Came here on a quiet weekday night and the service was amazing. Lovely to hear about the owners story and the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

An amazing night at Caspian! Started with such a warm and welcoming service, followed by the most delicious fresh food. I had the Kleftiko and it literally fell off the bone. It was stunning, every part of the dish was quality, right down to the salad and rice. We also had the cold and hot mezze - it took us right back to our holidays in Turkey. All of the staff and the head chef were so friendly and lovely, took the time to chat to us and even gave us complimentary desert and tea. Can’t recommend it enough, the atmosphere is great and you can tell that the people who run it are so passionate about creating amazing food and giving their customers an unreal experience! Thanks again!

We had an amazing experience at Caspian restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, bursting with authentic Turkish flavors. Rhianna provided outstanding service, making excellent recommendations and ensuring we felt welcome throughout our meal. Great halal food and great service.

This was our second visit to this restaurant. The waitresses, once again, were super friendly and made us feel like VIPs. The food was very tasty and it had a lovely atmosphere. I had the vegetarian dish which had just enough spice, it was delicious. At the end of the meal they gave us a small traditional tea served with beautiful spoons, cups and sugar bowl, as well as a Turkish delight. We will definitely go back. I was surprised at some of the negative reviews on here, as that was not our experience at all.

What a delightful restaurant! We visited for the first time to celebrate my birthday prior to going to Turkey and couldn't have wished for a nicer experience. Food was delicious and you can tell Mo (the owner) cooks with passion. Rihanna (our waitress) was so friendly and explained the menu to us and looked after us perfectly. Despite being the last customers there before closing there was no pressure for us to eat up and leave. All in all a delightful experience and highly recommended. We look forward to going back again.

We visited this restaurant after seeing some great reviews on Newcastle foodies. We were not disappointed, the welcome was warm, the atmosphere was relaxed and homely, the staff were wonderful. I had the chargrilled wrap and my wife the Chicken dolma, both were amazing! We will be back real soon to taste another amazing dish. Keep doing what you are doing! Glenn & Jan

The food was outstanding at a really affordable price, so glad we made the stop as we will definitely be returning! Visited with friends for an early dinner. One of our party is vegetarian so we opted for a mixture of vegetarian & mezze dishes to share. Gorgeous food it’s hard to pick a favourite as everything was really nice (I don’t know what they do to their feta but believe me the one they use in their feta salad was a cut above) but if pushed I would highlight the Vegetarian Guvec the sauce of which was outstanding so tasty. Really friendly prompt service & very good value for the amount of good we ordered. I will definitely visit again

Service at the Caspian II Turkish restaurant in the Heaton district of Newcastle was first class. I doubt it's possible to find a place that offers a heartier welcome and more personable treatment throughout the course of a meal. I ordered a mixed grill that was well presented (other than a tiny chip out of the corner of the plate) and tasted fine. The temperature of the restaurant was a little too chilly for my liking, despite heaters being on, on a brutally cold January night. There was nothing else that the lovely staff could do to add warmth. The complimentary cup of tea at the end of the meal was much appreciated.

What a lovely place with a great atmosphere! Staff are wonderful and enthusiastic about the food making the experience all the better. Food is fantastic! A must try.

Exceptional. One of my favourite, if not favourite, restaurants in Newcastle...and in the UK

We had a table booked for 7:30, however upon arrival, the shutters were down and the doors locked. We tried ringing, however we got no answer. No email or phone call to tell us the booking had been cancelled. This was somewhere we were really looking forward to trying, however after tonight’s experience, we will not be looking to try here again.

This restaurant is a little gem in Newcastle so pleased I came across it , the food is amazing has to be one of the best Turkish cuisine in Newcastle the food is just mouth watering to say the least, the chef Mo and the staff are friendly and helpful recommending great choices of food can’t wait to go back would definitely recommend you won’t be disappointed great place with amazing food and great friendly atmosphere.

We had a fantastic anniversary 45 years Meal. Mo and his staff really looked after us the food was delicious. The turkish wine yakut red is gorgeous we had champagne what a fantastic evening thanks mo.

While we both enjoyed the food and we’re very impressed by the waiting staff we were horrified to be told when paying that it was pointless to leave a tip as in the words of the waiter “they never saw a penny of it”. When I find out places do not treat their staff correctly it is obviously very off putting. I can’t see us returning now we know that staff are not valued or treated fairly.

A few of us visited , the service was ok ish obviously a new waitress as she didn’t really know what she was doing but that’s ok everyone has to start somewhere, but the food was awful the chicken was so rubbery you could bounce it like a ball off the ground and the Adana was so salty. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately.

One of the worst experiences I've had eating which even beats getting food poisining. The place, poorly lit, the waitress, rude and uninviting, the cutlery and plates, dirty, the apple juice containing spit and flem. The food was half way decent but based on my apple juice I'm not too hopeful. Avoid at all cost!!

Went here with my aunt for a birthday lunch. The place we'd expected to visit was closed so this was a lucky find. The food was excellent and the lunch set menu is superb value. Inside, the restaurant is extremely colourful and the service was so friendly. We'll certainly be back.

We called by for an early evening meal and really enjoyed our visit. The food arrived swiftly and was well presented and authentically tasty, the price was reasonable, and the service was attentive, friendly and Mark went out of his way to oblige us.

Don't be put off by the exterior, what awaits inside far outways 1st appearances. Prebooked through Groupon, the choices on the menu were extensive (not your usual limited menu) From starters to dessert...outstanding. Service and speed...outstanding Efes...outstanding 😁 Would I recommend...Yes Would I return...Already booked.

Popped in for an evening meal after being recommended by my friend, safe to say I wasn't disappointed. Food was beautiful, portion sizes were huge and the service was amazing. Mark couldn't do enough to help and was good craic at the same time. Sadly didn't get photos of the food as it didn't hang around for long. Will definitely be back in the future.

I don't write reviews but the moussaka I ordered last night was very disappointing as it was very runny, just like soup , 1 piece of potatoe and aubergine between the 2 dishes, plenty of minced meat and some sauce, the best value last night was the £5 salad and not the £12 dish x 2. Will not order again.

I’m a person who selects food very carefully and would say that the restaurant’s food is healthy professionally cooked and served fresh! Every time I order for home the delivery is very fast!! The photo down is from my last order. Cheers and thank you for the good service all the time!

Rarely leave good reviews but this restaurant truly deserves one. Ordered for delivery, and honestly, I cannot believe I’ve been ordering such mediocre food from other places for so long. Not only you get great value for money here, but the food is truly delicious. Restaurant quality delivered to your door, truly! The seafood was spectacular. Never tested a sauce as flavourful as this one. The creamy chicken also delicious. And on top of all of that, the garlic sauce is…well, words cannot even describe. Heavenly, perhaps? Would be leaving 8 stars if it was possible. Really really pleasantly surprised!

I have just waited for over 2 hours for this food to be delivered. Although the delivery was late I was still expecting edible food. However I received a salad which I paid £4.50 for that can be presented better in the local kebab shop. It was a measly attempt at putting it together. The main dish ali nazak with chicken drenched in oil I literally couldnt see the dish. I had a taste and it was more of a chicken curry not an authentic turkish dish. I have just thrown it in the bin. I am extremely upset at how disappointing the food was here and I will now be going to sleep £17 poorer and nothing to show for it.

I don't think there's a Turkish restaurant or take away I haven't tried in the Newcastle area that is better than Caspian. Food was insanely good! Well done team Caspian!
