Tried for nine days to book a table for tomorrow no one ever answer the phone. Can't find opening times anywhere. Bur it says open no one ever answer the phone

Been today with friends absolutely delicious 3 course 11.95 well worth it

Absolutely terrible over cooked meat from the barbecue, so told them I could not eat this and they took it away and brought me the exact same food back. Don’t waist your money 👎🏻

Didn't enjoy this experience, waited nearly an hour just some baklava to take home when I was told it would be approximately half an hour, won't be in a hurry to go back 😖😖😖😖

Got the full mixed kebab to take away, cost £20, don't think it was anyway near value for money, really disappointed. Was expecting a lot better. Don't get me wrong it's the only thing I tried off their menu so it may be I just got a bad one time meal

Strange place to find a delicious Sunday roast. Ample portion, delicious tender beef served with Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes, lashings of rich gravy and a side of veg...what more could you want and an absolute bargain at £8.95 Will be returning soon to go through the traditional Turkish dishes on the extensive menu. Great welcome from friendly and efficient staff.

I have ordered well over an hour ago, no answer on the telephone and no food delivered!!! You took my money though!!!!

My husband and I have eaten here on several occasions and the food has always been amazing. Today we called in for lunch and were not disappointed! We started with houmous and then I had Ali Nazik with chicken and my husband had a mixed kebab, with extra chilli sauce. We also ordered a portion of chunky chips and they were the best chips that we have eaten for a long time. The Waitress was lovely - very welcoming and friendly - and as we left she presented my husband with a complimentary pot of chilli sauce! Thank you for another lovely lunch - we will be back again soon.

Amazing food, Sunday dinners are worth it as well

Nice to visit with family and kids. It is a quite place and excellent Turkish food. We had Adana, Iskander, and Shish chicken, and dessert all of them fresh and tasty.

Was here with 3 other people and we all enjoyed the food would definitely recommend

Just been for our first Take away from A'la Turka and have to say we were not very impressed considering all the positive reviews that it has. Ordered a mixed shish and a Tandir Kebab the portion size of the mixed shish was very poor as we got 3 cubes of lamb and 3 cubes of chicken which were overcooked ( very dry ) and far too expensive at £13.95 was a rip off ! My Tandir kebab on the other hand had lots of lean lamb but was just like lamb in gravy from a Sunday dinner. Served with plain boiled rice. Have to be honest this was nothing like the food we have enjoyed in Turkey. So first visit will unfortunately be our last. Unimpressed!

Lockdown treat. Tonight we ordered the sea bass, grilled chicken, a wrap and halloumi starter. Salad, Turkish bread, chilli sauce and rice all included. Very fast delivery! A free pizza arrived too. It was all tasty, fresh and hot. Quality Turkish food in the comfort of our home on a Monday night - fabulous. Very impressed and highly recommended.

Good food, friendly staff. Would recommend. Like an idiot I'd left something on my table as I left the restaurant. Could easily have been thrown out, but was kept safely for me behind the bar ready to collect when I got back there. Two thumbs up.

The standard of the food is fantastic the staff is great and friendly definitely worth a visit.

One of my favourite places to go!! The pizza and the meatballs are my favourite. Service is brilliant and they're happy to edit orders to suit when needed.

We have been ordering online during lockdown so that we can have a 'treat' and the food has been nothing short of amazing! My kids absolutely love the Margarita Pizzas and the special wraps are just unreal! It has been lovely still being able to have our favourites in the comfort of our own home. I would strongly recommend A la Turka to anyone.

I recently went to this restaurant with a friend and was worried there would be nothing I could eat as I’m vegetarian. The waitress was friendly and told me the few vegan and vegetarian options that were available. Our food was served in good time and was tasty and plentiful.

Love the menu usually at A’la Turka but, tonight’s delivery was really disappointing to be honest! Very expensive for really bad food unfortunately.

Pre ordered and it was ready for when I got there and still hot. First time we have tried it and with out a doubt the nicest Turkish food I have had from a takeaway. Would defiantly recommend and will be back.

Have always loved ala Turka, so decided to treat ourselves with a takeaway. Such a shame that food was so bad that I will never return, potato skins were hard and husband thought they were yesterday’s, rice was cold, garlic sauce was a changed recipe, and the lamb casserole was in need of recooking, lamb was hard and chewy and veg was raw. Was an expensive takeaway @£35 for two.

We normally get a curry from Saffron or Himilaya in Chester le Street. However, we thought we'd try something different so picked a few random items (two mains and two starters). Food was absolutely delicious, every item was cooked to perfection and full of flavour but also well balanced. Will be ordering again very soon.

Visited on Tuesday for a take away pre ordered for collection at 16:15 Ordered starters of Patlican Ezme, avci boregi and potatoe skins , the Ezme was tasteless, the boregi was just warm enough to eat and the potatoe skins tasted like they'd been refried. Main courses were Beyti sarma, Adana and a Margarita pizza Husband enjoyed the Adana and daughter liked the pizza but my Beyti was so cold inside, I had to take it back. The man apologised and reheated the dish he said next time ask for the yogurt to be served separately, it was not the yogurt, the mince was cold We had been really looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately we were left very disappointed and definitely would not return, it does say under new management so maybe that has something to do with it, hopefully it will improve, the restaurant also smells musty.

Just had Sunday lunch delivered fantastic.Roast lamb mashed potato roast potatoes cabbage broccoli cauliflower carrots peas and gravy + Yorkshire pudding. The lamb just fell to pieces everything was perfect and plenty of it. One course £7-95 two courses £9-95 three courses £11-95. All including delivery.

We just had Sunday lunch delivered - 3x2 course meals... and it was fabulous!!! Just about in time, lots of fresh veg and the meat was just beautiful!!! Staff on the phone and the delivery driver were lovely!!!! Thanks so very much!!!

Best takeaway I've ever had when this climate changes and yi can go out again soon we'll be in for a meal.

Went for lunch with friends. They had special lunch menus but we choose from ordinary menu. Food was freshly cooked and very hot and tasty. Would recommend.

Booked a table on the off chance for a Saturday night. The only thing that put me off was it was cash only on a weekend. Anyway we ordered the hot mixed plate of starters which came promptly. They were very tasty and filling. I ordered a mixed grill which was lovely. Mainly lamb and chicken with rice and chilli sauce. My wife ordered a lamb dish which was equally good. No room for puds. Drinks were £4 a pint as well as a g and t. Would definitely recommend

I asked why anyone who is non-Muslim would request halal meat, the absolute best scenario I could imagine was that they didn’t object. And knowing that it costs more, it is more likely to be detrimental to the animals welfare and it imposes a religion on people who may not want it. I decided all should boycott.

Enjoyed menu, draught lager and cider. In early but soon got busy. Mixed kebab in wrap good. Chicken on bread too mild for me. Good portions - stuffed after starter and main. Struggled for parking. Weren't told when booking for Saturday night cash only - saw sign on door on way in. Asked for dessert menu never came nor did bill till 2nd ask. Average price. Handy for our hotel.

Well what can I say, 3 of us just called in got cheese garlic bread starter. Mixed chicken wrap, chicken stroganoff and a mixed grill. It was all very nice

Visited for my birthday in October, after hearing good reviews about this place. We live near so decided to try it. It was quiet when we visited at 5 but started to gradually get busier. We ordered three starters between us and they were all delicious and very filling. Very difficult to choose from the menu because there were so many delicious choices. We each had something different. Was very impressed by the meals we had. We would definitely return because there’s so many more meals I’d like to try.

I literally love this place. We’ve only ever had it to take away but I can’t grumble it’s so good. We always get hummus and bread to share and start. Then a chicken special wrap with mushrooms and onions and it’s absolutely lovely. It’s definite it’s my favorite type of takeaway. We still need to still in to see the restaurant itself and the service. Can not recommend takeaway enough.

Went there for lunch mid week. The staff was absolutely brilliant, the food was very good. . There was 18 of us the meals came out together. The menu was very good plenty of choice. All the food was hot.

Sunday lunch is served between 12 and four we had a table booked for 330 but we arrived early we thought we’d have a beer in the bar to start with when we arrived we were greeted we are sorry but there is no food left we looked around the restaurant and there was nobody in surely a restaurant would cater for people coming for Sunday lunch I can’t believe they run out of food as we entered I noticed there was a sign which said cash only which made me a little bit

Nice meal but shocked they use chicken stock for the rice they serve with vegetarian casserole option! So had potatoes instead!

Second time we've visited and the quality it top notch! The lamb is phenomenal! Iskender is unbeatable, must try!
