The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in East of England

I have ordered before many times from here and it's been alright, but today the quality was extremely bad. Ordered lamb wraps, and the lamb was not even cooked properly, I thought maybe it's just one piece undercooked, but eventually, I had to just bin it. Couldn't even chew the lamb. Don't think I'll order here again! Wasted my money and spoilt my dinner.

Really nice tasty food, well presented, friendly professional waitress. Lovely decor, good atmosphere, reasonably priced. Would have been a five star, but at 8.05 pm on a Sunday, asked for coffee to finish off the three course meal, to be told, coffee machine had been switched off. There were still other people enjoying their meals in the restaurant. A little disappointing.

Tal vez el mejor restaurante en el que he estado. Un contendiente, ciertamente. Estaban llenos, pero como prometimos, cuando llamamos, en caso de una cancelación, no se habían olvidado de nosotros y nos dieron una mesa. Fuimos afortunados, muchos se decepcionaron. Estaba lleno todo el tiempo, pero nunca caótico. El servicio fue rápido y muy amable y atento. Muy razonable precio - la comida era increíble - verdaderamente. La mejor comida que he tenido, en un ambiente encantador servido por los dueños de la familia amable. Teníamos el cous royale y pollo zatoun tagine. Ambos fueron impresionantes. Muy recomendable.

Excellent service dealt with allergies superb was great night out and made everything feel like a normal night out can’t recommend enough!

I can not praise Kylie and her amazing team enough! I took my mum there last night for a very important birthday .....a total suprise for her.....Kylie put a happy birthday sign up and treated my mum like a queen. Amazing food... fantastic atmosphere.....can not praise the whole team enough xxx

We ate early. The restaurant was very quiet when we came in. We stood at the front waiting to be seated for at least 4 minutes or so. Staff saw us and were not busy. No one came to see us, they just ignored us until it was so uncomfortable that someone in the kitchen caught the eye of one of the waiters! While the staff was friendly, we had to wait quite a while to get the drinks we ordered, and once they had given us the main course, they never came over to us. We would have ordered coffees, more drinks, maybe desserts, but chose to ask for the bill and leave. The food was average, nothing special. Wouldn't choose to go back, sorry.

Delicious food and good ambience however, service was a little too relaxed. Enjoyed the mezze bowl.amf the sharing platter was very good

I am fed up of ordering a meal and it's missing items. Or the order is not correct, instead of rushing people off the phone please can you make sure you have fully listened to what they want , as I have just had to eat a meal with chilli sauce covered all over the chips and chilli sauce put in my chicken wrap that I did not ask for , if it wasn't for the fact that I have somewhere to be I would of sent it back , used star grill for many years but enough is enough now !!!

Amazing service from the northern lady, she is so sweet and doing such a good job, a real team player! Food was delicious but sadly we ordered a huge starter so i couldn’t get it all down😅

Completely ruined my dad’s 60th Birthday. We booked a table several weeks in advance to celebrate my dad’s 60th Birthday and received e-mail confirmation for the booking. We turned up at the restaurant to find it completely closed, not a member of staff in sight. What’s even sadder is that there was also numerous other people waiting outside including a party of people who had arranged a meal to celebrate a 90th Birthday. Received no notification from The Highland that our table was cancelled. I can think of very little excuse as to why some form of notification could not be given to guests that the restaurant was closed and this is a disgusting way to treat people. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Our visit to Shishbourne started off ok. When we arrived we were told that due to it being Mother's Day we'd have the table to for only 2 hours, which was totally fine by us. After approx 75 mins whilst we were still eating our main course's, their waitress come over to me and a little abruptly advised they would need the table back in 10-15mins. I advised the waitress that upon our arrival we were told we'd have the table for 2 hours. For there record there were no customers waiting to be seated. Everyone in the restaurant was seated and eating their meals. We would have stayed for dessert but the rude and abrupt waitress ruined our visit, so we just finished our main courses and left and will not visit again. Upon paying the bill I questioned their pricing, we ordered a child size portion of Spaghetti Bolognese that was priced at £10.95. My eldest had the Adult portion of Spaghetti Bolognese priced at £17.00. Both portions were exactly the same size. So go figure...Their response was may the child got a little extra.... No atmosphere and the wait staff were not exactly welcoming. More annoyed for my wife on mother's day as it ruined our family meal out. Next time we fancy going to a Turkish Restaurant we'll go elsewhere, there's better with better service & atmosphere close by.

Amazing food! Proper greek authentic grill the Tatziki was great! Staff were lovely. Great value for the amount of food. Had a lovely time definitely recommend

This place is utterly horrible. This stupid manager is horrible, mean, and greedy for money. The way you replied to my sister and other people. (In mean sarcastic ways looks like you act like this right in front of your customers. The food was very salty, soggy and burnt. To the manager: Have manners. Treat you customers in a fair kind way. Watch videos on YouTube or take courses on how to treat your customers. My nieces and children went home hungry and I work so I couldn't make anything for them to eat. You also lighted with me in front of my children and nieces, how dare you.

A shame that they have stopped the all you can eat menu. I would willingly have paid more than £18.95 because the food is so good. Now it is 3 courses for £15.95 with a more limited choice. The quality of the food is still excellent but the portion sizes are far too small and we left feeling disappointed.
