Alexander Express in Watford

Avoid. Have spent a fortune with them over the years. Always tipped the drivers. Food is fine, service is absolutely awful if anything goes wrong. For the sake of a few pounds, won't ever right their wrong. If they treat service like this, have concerns how they treat the rest of their business.

Very good and delivered very early which was great as I was starving. Friendly driver and nice food - Huge portion of fries. A little pricey but worth it.

Chicken Shawarma was moreish, rich but not oily Vegetarian skewers had an excellent charred flavour with the veg still juicy underneath. A takeaway that make enjoyable food that you don't regret eating the next day

Alexander’s is lovely food and though it’s expensive and takes a long time to deliver it’s always worth it.

Amazing. Very well done and delicious food. Nice portions came with few sides which we didn't expect. Nice tarama, papers and great chill sauce. The salad could be bit more. Basically was almost no salad but im sure they will sort next time. Will recommend for sure.

One of our regular places to order from. We order the kibbeh, mixed grill, Lebanese bread and sauces and are always happy with it.

We’ve been ordering for this place takeaways for really long time, however yesterday was our last time. My husband ordered the food and i have received cooked chicken mixed with raw chicken. Before I realised it was already too late, as cooked bits were on the top, I started eating and after few bites which I already ate , felt something is not right. I stir it well there was literally raw pieces mixed with cooked. I’ve been throwing up all night, I don’t feel well, hopefully I will be ok and avoid A&E. disgusting place, avoid at any cost

I ordered fried vegetables which were supposed to be cauliflower, aubergine & potatoes but instead received sweet peppers with courgettes! Not happy

This place is great. Ordered from here about 10 times or so and it’s always hot and fresh - amazing salads and pizzas. Delivery is very quick.

Used to think Alexander express pizzas were ok, by no means the best but they did a job. Ordered today and omg … pizza was horrific! Beas looked shop brought yet somehow it was undercooked too! Horrific!

Food wasn't great, Shawarma chicken just tasted burnt and of little else. Lamb shish was OK. Everything was in loads of small plastic trays, a lot of which don't seem recyclable and definitely didn't hold the heat. Cardboard would have been better. The place isn't very welcoming, they seem more focused on their deliveries than take-out customers.

We ordered a mixed grill and halloumi sandwich, when the order arrived the halloumi sandwich was not there but there was a portion of halloumi. I called the takeaway and they sent a halloumi sandwich but asked that we give the halloumi portion back. My wife was hungry and had already eaten one piece when I called the takeaway but after that we didn’t eat anymore. I thought it was strange they wanted the food back, when they messed up the order in the first place. They then called me to say I was “cheap” after returning the halloumi with one piece missing. They didn’t seem to understand that their mistake meant we could not eat together and we had to wait for the correct food to arrive. I hope they didn’t just reheat the halloumi and serve to anyone else. Any ordinary takeaway would have just accepted they got the order wrong and not request the food back. I ordered through their app, so it was clear what we ordered. Awful customer service and I didn’t appreciate the abuse from the takeaway. I had always enjoyed eating here

Wow! Food came super quick, hot, and most importantly tasted delicious. We loved the lamb shawarma wraps, very flavourful and juicy. Will definitely be ordering again :) لذيذ

I love Alexander Express. The food is really good and delivery is reliable. The mixed grill is the best. I can't buy it as often as I used to since the price went up so much, but I buy it when I can.

If you like lamb... well this is pretty much the best ive ever experienced. nicely fragranced, cooked to perfection. Not something you would expect to find in this country. Very high quality.

Used this place alot always lovedd it the falafel was lovely as per but the mixed grill... everything tasted off or like it was soaked in old oil took a bite from each meat and all tasted so bad had to go in the bin

Halloumi was nice but the pizza dough was under cooked - not good. I would have been better off buying a frozen pizza from the shop and cooking it myself. Disappointing.

Always great food. Love the sauces, always made by the restaurant as opposed from out of a packet.

Some of the chicken pieces were hard. So I’m not sure how fresh it was. The description on the menu states 2 skewers. There were 5 pieces of chicken. I’m struggling to see how this was 2 skewers for £12. Overall not good value for money if it was 2 skewers (small skewers).

I’ve wrote for the driver exactly where the place is and he barely was speaking English and I couldn’t understand him so he couldn’t understand me too. The order was soup and what we received was literally prepared 50p soups. I waited a lot since the guy on the phone said he didn’t had any drivers but waiting all this time to get that kind of quality of food it’s a shame. Definitely wasn’t worth it

Excellent food, as always. Prices have gone up quite a bit with some of the dishes, but I don't mind. It's still great quality food and good value.

The delivery guy refused to bring the order to our place. He made some none sense excuses and after a few minutes over the phone he made us go down to pickup the order at 300 meters from our place, he didn’t even got out of his car!. We were hungry so we didn’t want to keep arguing with him. At £3 delivery fee the minimum service is to deliver the food just right in your door!

The pizza was the worse pizza I have ever eaten. Or, not eaten I should say. It went in the bin. The base wasn't that thin and it was undercooked and doughy. Tasteless topping and bitter base sauce. Yuck!

Delivery and service was great, but quite disappointed in the food. I've never in my life tasted restaurant food that was completely bland, even adding salt didn't help. The chicken was also burnt. This was my allotted cost for a takeaway for the month and it felt wasted. Not again for me.

Food was OK but I didn't get my Lebanese salad (money was refunded) and the lentil soup tasted identical to Baxters tinned lentil soup. They are generous on the bread and you get free dips, peppers, olives etc

The standard of the food was very poor for the price. The hummus and lasagne were very watery. I left a note with my order that obviously wasn’t read, as I never received the plastic cutlery or napkins I simply asked for. I won’t be ordering from Alexander’s ever again. I felt totally let down.

Unfortunately meat was nearly cold, it would be better if salad was in a separate tub, being in with meat it was all limp and soggy. Sorry but didn't really enjoy any of the meal

This is normally a pretty good restaurant. I just felt the grilled vegetables were a little insipid. The meat was ok, but there was very little of it. I think the options for rice need to be much better!
