Lovely meal with friends, great staff, good food lots of choice.

We ate early. The restaurant was very quiet when we came in. We stood at the front waiting to be seated for at least 4 minutes or so. Staff saw us and were not busy. No one came to see us, they just ignored us until it was so uncomfortable that someone in the kitchen caught the eye of one of the waiters! While the staff was friendly, we had to wait quite a while to get the drinks we ordered, and once they had given us the main course, they never came over to us. We would have ordered coffees, more drinks, maybe desserts, but chose to ask for the bill and leave. The food was average, nothing special. Wouldn't choose to go back, sorry.

Efes Bbq has started Breakfast.we got platter £65 for 4 people so it is a reasonable price.Breakfast was delicious and got lots of varieties with a fresh juice. Highly recomended that place.

Turkish Breakfast 8:00 till 15:00. I went with my friends today and it was amazing. Lots of variety of Food in sharing platter for 4. It was a perfect choice for Turkish Breakfast ! We will return soon.

I’m a regular customer and went for Mother’s Day today and as it was busy you could tell the staff were under pressure but they dealt with it extremely well. I highly recommend

over priced and nothing to do with Turkish food. More like an Indian resturant, ordered Medium steak came well done and very dry, food was oily and very expensive, we didn't even eat it, terrible experience.

I've always loved effes and definitely can't complain on the food. All the meat is lovely and the complimentary bread and dips, are really good. They've massively hiked prices, which is disappointing and I've definitely noticed how quiet it is now. There were 9 of us and 2 were kids, not eating a full meal (I also wasn't due to ill health). I think 3 people had a beer and 1 had 2 glasses of wine (water was £3 a bottle). It came to over £30 a head, bearing in mind 3 weren't eating meals really. The added service charge is not good, service today was slow and not worthy of 12% at all. I think people should have a choice if they want to tip and how much. I think due to price hikes, service charge and poor service today, I'll not be returning sadly. Such a shame, as it used to be my favourite restaurant in Dunstable.

The food was expensive, ordered king prawns, but very dry, and came with mashed potatoes and rice, never before had a meal with rice and potatoes on the same plate.

I went to EFES BBQ today with my family, and it was great experience. We was a group of 15 people. Service was so good, and warming. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Food was so Delicious and mouth warming. Portions were perfect and worth the Price. Drinks were so good and decorated !! lots of selection of Wines and Cocktails and Mocktails too !! I would recommend this place to everyone... THANK YOU EFES FOR YOUR SO WARM SERVICE AND FOR DELICIOUS FOOD... WILL VISIT SOON AGAIN !! :)))

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money We visited Effes Barb Q for iftar and spent nearly £250, including a £25 service charge. While the food was decent, the service was absolutely terrible. First, the waiter who took our order seemed unprepared—he asked for a minute to turn on his tablet and took almost five minutes. When we placed our order, he struggled to understand, even though we were pointing at the menu. We asked for a jug of Coke, and he mistakenly wrote down a jug of water. After correcting him, he still brought bottles instead—maybe they don’t serve Coke jugs, but communication was frustrating. At the end, we requested some food to be packed for takeaway. Instead of doing that, the staff got confused and started bringing Sprite instead. When we asked again, one waiter made a face and passed the task to another, who then disappeared to take someone else’s order. A third person came, and we reminded them about packing the food along with the bill. He brought the bill but never packed the food. In the end, we just left it there because it wasn’t worth the hassle. Charging £25 for such poor service is ridiculous. Definitely not going back—first and last visit. Total waste of money.

Table booked for 19.30. After being seated was approx 30min before we got our drinks….service was very slow and food very over priced!

I did check previous reviews before dining and alot was posted about the service which I can totally agree with. We arrived table booked for 7pm (8 people) and had to wait 25 mins to order drinks which took another 20mins to arrive and we still hadn't ordered food yet. The service was very slow and ordered 2nd round of drinks when mains came out which we had to remind them 3 times and still took time. We also asked for some more sauces as food is rice, cous cous and grilled meat which was quite dry and the waiter kept telling a diner on our table to shush. Reviews on this restaurant are varied but alot about service. There was one item on our bill that we didnt purchase and there was no service charge added which has been seen in previous reviews and they did the decent thing tonight by reducing our bill but still cost us £50 per head without a tip.

Worst place ever bad service they charged us for the service when we bearly got service rude staff if I was the manager I’d do better u guys need to try harder my family said we won’t go back we been here twice and a child got a 20£ pasta when we asked for half of it because it was to big and they still charged us just saying not lots of sauce we got try better next time

I went there with my friends and we enjoy the food as well as service and atmosphere we enjoyed a lot. Staff members are very polite and Friendly I like service Mr kirtan gave us he is very polite to us. And my friends enjoyed food a lot rather then me. I personally recommend increase options for vegetarian as well. What I eat that one is good. But they have non vegetarian options a lot and it was best in dunstable. We had fun a lot.

I visit this restaurant with my friends. Most probably we like to eat spicy food but food was soo good as well staff was soo nice. Definitely we'll visit again.

Is not hard to fall in love with the food here. The portions are generous and the staff is very friendly. It just become my favorite place from my first visit. Now bigger and with a greater variety of drinks too. Also had like to mention the quality of lamb is amazing. And that coming from somebody whom ate no lamb for over 35 years 😬. If you won't like the lamb here when you'll ever like it 😊 Keep it to the same level of service guys

Very kind staff ! We had a misunderstanding, we ordered some beef and they served us lamb, by mistake! We told them and they replaced the food in 5 minutes! Because of this minor fault, they didn’t charge us for all the drink we had! I was impressed to see this kind gesture!

Loved the food. But there were 10 of us and the bill had 19 meals on it meaning it was £150 more than it should have been. Staff adjusted the bill as soon as we pointed it out. Luckily we'd been warned to check as we weren't the first to have this done.

Not the best Turkish restaurant. My partner and I order the Efes sharing platter for two. For the price of £79, the portion size was very small. A platter with a ridiculous amount of spoons inside and a small bowl of salad. The bulgur was overcooked and the lamb chops were not cooked properly….

Obviously my feelings about the atmosphere are subjective. The service was fine, but and for me it’s a big but, it was outrageously overpriced. Perfectly good food, but I wouldn’t expect to pay more than half the price that you charge. I really hate leaving a bad review and clearly I’m in a minority because astonishingly, the place was packed. I guess people can choose what they want to spend their money on and you must be doing something right so best of luck to you.

Disappointing Experience After a Great First Visit I’ve had an amazing experience at Efes in the past, but unfortunately, this time it was a complete letdown. Our waiter seemed disorganised, inexperienced and inattentive. He got every part of our order wrong, and we had to repeatedly chase him just to place our order. We were left waiting for long periods between each step of our meal. When it was time for the cake, we were faced with further delays. We also had to wait further for utensils- all of which felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. To top it off, when we asked for the excessive service charge to be removed, the waiter insisted that it was "mandatory law," which was clearly a lie and not worth the poor service. I’m really disappointed with how things turned out this time, and I hope they can make improvements moving.

The price of the food is just ridiculous they are robbing you. I don't know why are people silly enough to pay £100 for one platter. For that price i can get nearly whole lamb. I don't know what they think they are Michelin star?

Went last night.Overall the restaurant was neat and clean but the food was overpriced. They serve Turkish bread which isn't even turkish bread its thin nan slices. We ordered Efes platter which says its enough for 4 people which is not its for 2 people. The portions was so small. Lamb chops are not tender at all its not properly cooked they were raw. Chicken wings were not cooked properly either its literally Red. 🤮🤢 And when we complained to the waiter he walked off Don't even listen at all Not recommended at all.

I've been here a few times now. It seems every time I go, here has been a significant price hike. This time when I went there was about 20 of us. They double charged a few of us for drinks. I'm not sure I will be returning here.

Today I went to Efes for my Son's Birthday party...We were 25 people and had a great time there. Service was very warm and welcoming. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very attentive and they knew thr job very well. Food was amazing and delicious🤤 Hat's off to the Chefs.....They serve sizzling Hot food to you and no need to wait long for food. No more to say about Food. Its always the best !! ☺️ They do have cocktails and Mocktails, Served decorated and Presentable. No complaints !! A nice collection of Desserts.... We will definitely visit again soon.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ❤️❤️❤️

Customer service was pretty poor, although food was satisfactory and on time. Charged for water bottles and had to remind several times to recieve tap water then charged for water bottles. Restaurant was busy however plenty of waiters were running a round and kept on responding yes to each request. Either they have a problem understanding or just ignoring.

Very overpriced for the amount of food. Price increased compared to the online prices. Shocking amount for a service charge on the bill without any notice of this. Really disappointed to say the least. £25+ for a few bits of shish and a chicken kofta! I thought i was going crazy
