Dragon Inn in Central Bedfordshire

Love the Chinse food from the dragon city inn, well recommended. The young man who’s delivering all the time is so polite and friendly as well.

It arrived not very warm and like it had been sitting around for a while before it was delivered

Was told delivery would be about an hour but it arrived in half that. Dumplings were good but there needs to be more than 4 for the price. Duck was nice, and chow mein was a good portion. Satay sauce wasn't like satay sauce at all though, more like curry sauce. Not peanut-y at all.

I love this restaurant, the food is amazing!!

Waited nearly 2 hours, chicken balls were good but for £9 a medium portion the food had 0 flavour. Would not order again.

The best Chinese in Leighton buzzard hands down.

The soup portion was very small compared with others and the egg fried rice was not need what it should be. Really disappointed as it’s my first time eating Chinese in LB since moving here. I have had from Dunstable and Hemel Hempstead and this was a very poor show compared to them.

I don’t normally order from here but my go-to was closed so I took a gamble and I have to say I am quite disappointed - the food was very bland. The chow mein and fried rice didn’t have any seasoning/flavourings not even soy sauce which is evident when you look at the photos if the dishes in the app - it looks and tastes like it was all just boiled in water… a far cry from the tasty flavours that usually accompany Chinese take away. Probably won’t be ordering from here again

the food was great however the driver messed the order and all the sauce was spilled inside the bag. I had to clean everything before eating. the only thing that was wrong were the chips, I don't think they were fresh, because they were hard and dry

Food was great, always is. But it was late and one item missing, Just eat sorted and added a credit to my account. 1st time we have had an issue.

rice was clumped together. chicken balls were very greasy. sauce was cold and almost a jelly.

The quality of the lamb dish wasn’t great, meat very chewy having said that everything else was lovely

Absolutely delicious food, delivered lovely and hot. Have tried a few other places but in my opinion Dragon Inn are the best by far.

Thought we would try a different Chinese takeaway, by far the best I’ve had in Leighton.

Arrived on time, still nice & hot but I just wish they wouldn’t bulk out dishes with onions, use something else like peas or sweetcorn.

We placed a large order for a family meal, ordered 1/2 duck and no plum sauce was sent - dissatisfied at such a key part of the dish

The best Chinese in Leighton buzzard hands down. Unlike the others, these guys have more seafood dishes and their food is delivered so fast. Don’t think I’ve waited beyond half an hour for a delivery from dragon inn. Food is always piping hot and they make the best chicken curry, sesame prawn toast and special chow mein. Essential.

Food quality is great but ordered before settling down for a few drinks and it stated “opens at 17:25 so earliest order” we ordered knowing it would be between 17:30-18:00 which is what we wanted. It arrived at 16:30 which is nearly an hour before we were told the restaurant even opened?! Sadly it meant we were far from ready to eat BUT to emphasise - quality of food is excellent. Just don’t order until you are actually ready… sadly it meant we couldn’t enjoy as we hoped today.

The food was of very poor quality on this occasion, cold and slimy. Given that 2 meat options, 1 noodles, 1 rice and some prawn crackers cost near £40 this was exceptionally bad.

We are visiting family in the area today who are members at this restaurant (you have to be a member to be able to eat here for some reason, maybe the set my expectations to high). They have had a few mixed experiences but we were willing to give it a go. The food was great, although a little pricey compared to others in my own experience. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time, was hot, and tasted great. Unfortunately the staff were exceptionally rude, and not only to our table which was a great shame. It left the atmosphere very uncomfortable. The staff were actually laughing at us after we asked whether the drink delivered to our table was correct as it did not appear or taste as expected. If it was up to myself, I would have paid for the drinks, got up and walked out at this point. However the group wanted to stay and give them the benefit of the doubt. The person who came to our table to collect payment at the end of the meal was so eager to take the money from our hands that I was genuinely left shocked. Im afraid we won’t be returning to this restaurant but hope the staff learn from this review to ensure other members do not have the same experience.

Would appreciate a refund. We've placed similar orders many times and enjoyed the food, however, this time the dishes contained a large amount of carrots compared to previous orders.

I want to support local and more-so I want it to be good, but sadly there was no flavour to anything. Salt & pepper squid and chicken has no salt on whatsoever. Chicken was a bit crispy but the squid was soggy as a mermaids cheque book. Duck with ginger & spring onion, chicken fried rice - same issue, no flavour which is a shame as the duck looked very tasty. I know it was a Saturday and they were busy but I was very disappointed. Sadly, I cannot recommend

Best Chinese in Leighton and the front of house team are great lads. Won’t go anywhere else and in fact will go here and not to the Chinese on the same road as me!

My wife ordered a takeaway. When she got home my prawn curry was a pork dish. They're not cheap and they can't even get a takeaway order correct. Will not be returning for a meal here.

Disgusting Food. who cuts up ribs into nibbles? fries chips in fat that had needed changing years ago. The rest tasted foul and went in the bin. What a total waste of money. For me not the first time from them. Never again.

I had better Chinese. the food was bland and everything tasted the same. the fried rice was very dry, the prawn rolls had weird smell and taste...like fried in bad, old oil. I wouldn't buy again from them

By far the best Chinese/Cantonese food in LB. Delicious Lemon chicken, the lemon sauce is fresh and has a great tang.

Eight of us went to The Dragon Inn to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. The food and service was exceptional. Sammy was a wonderful host. Highly recommend a visit (be aware, portions are huge, you'll come out feeling stuffed but happy). Thank you Guys

My usual Chinese is closed so, I thought I’d give Dragon’s Inn a try. I spoke to the restaurant over the phone and they were very polite and accommodating. Unfortunately the food just wasn’t very nice, it was confusingly very bland. I say confusingly as the special fried rice just taste like boiled rice and the strongest flavour in it was the garden peas! The Satay Chicken was slightly bizarre it was very gloopy I’m not sure if that was because the garnishes had gone soft and again no strong flavour, I could barely taste any peanut, really oily too. The prawns were crispy but the garnish didn’t taste like anything! The chicken balls were good a nice portion, crisp on the outside really meaty chicken piece in the middle but the sauces were not they smelled like vinegar. Chowmein very bland again. It was really unfortunate as the customer service was great. Even the delivery man was really lovely.

Delivery was quick. But asked for no prawn and they didn't take notice of the written instructions. This place is expensive and I would have expected better quality food for the price. It was average.
