Shishbourne is our local we go atleast once a month. As a couple and with friends The staff the decor the food are all excellent and to top it all there is live singer most Friday and Saturday nights . We will definitely be going back . Thankyou again for a lovely evening Sue x

Such a lovely experience at Shishbourne, the food and service were outstanding, and we were looked after so well by Ugur, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited this restaurant a few months ago for my cousins birthday so decided to go back for a bottomless brunch for my mums 75th birthday . Such welcoming, attentive and friendly staff who helped put decorations up before Mum got there. Food was fantastic . Service great . Highly recommend.

This restaurant is the best by far, of all the Turkish restaurants in Broxbourne. We brought our friends here last week and they were impressed it was literally within walking distance from our home. Sorry, but this is our favourite. The food is amazing, the staff are exceptional. The chefs create great flavours and the portions are generous. Adem, the lovely front of house superstar always looks after us. He’s so attentive, friendly and can mix a great gin. Thanks Shishbourne, we absolutely love coming here.

Went here on a quick ad-hoc night with a friend on a Sunday night and had a brilliant meal made even so better with our very friendly waiter Adam

Pretty much decided to book a table at 18:45, and was sitting own in the restaurant at 19:30. Excellent food. Helpful and approachable staff. A real feeling of good quality and service.

Since we were still on holiday, decided to eat lunch in a restaurant. Returned to Mezzom now lockdown is over.Starters were very good, 2 per person in lunch menu, especially aubergine puree, with very thin bread which left room for the main course. We both chose lamb shish as a main. The lamb was delicious, had been marinated then charcoal grilled 6 cubes off the skewer each. A very good lunch, will return.

ordered a takeaway, what a waste of £36 one lamb shish, one chicken shish and a starter, the lamb shish was the same as a bog standard one you find in a takeaway kebab house, gristly and small, the salad portion was very small, the pitta bread was hard like it had been left out for a week, even the chicken shish was small, the starter was the best thing, never again will i eat from here, been to sparks Turkish restaurant in Hoddesdon and few times and it is very nice but Hayta Turkish restaurant also in Hoddesdon is out of this world, the best by far.

Great restaurant, great service, really well cooked fresh food and as you'd expect with this type of place decent portions for sure! Can't recommend enough prob the best food spot on this high St. You won't be disappointed

Ordered a take away from them today, two lamb shish dishes, along with some sides. I received 3 cubes of gristle ridden lamb. (25 years of eating Turkish food, I've never had such a small portion of shish.)The rice was almost fried? It was rock hard, bread that was packed was clearly stale. The portions of the side dishes was an utter joke, perhaps a table spoon of cacik. Awful food, when spoken to on the phone I got told "You ordered the lunch menu, you get what you pay for." Disgusting attitude as well, do not recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered calamari and king prawns in a sauce. Delivery came on time but was not happy they served us bread in a blue paper towel!! Ridiculous King prawns was 4 small prawns and only got 3 calamari rings. Tasted OKAY

Before I continue, this is the 3rd or 4th time I have Ordered from this restaurant and it’s absolutely the last time!I appreciate times are very difficult right now but the portion sizes that we received on our latest order were an absolute disgrace.You may ask why we ordered again or why we are being so harsh after three or four times well we thought we’d give the opportunity for the the restaurant to improve as we think everyone deserves an opportunity but this has just gone downhill and downhill.I ordered a Grill chicken shish and Adana loftedMy wife ordered Roasted aubergineWhat is hot was 4 segments of chickenAnd a very small amount of lamb topped up with a small salad and rice at £14.40 (Picture below you tell me if it’s worth £14.40?)The aubergine was £13.90 (you tell me if you think that was worth £13.90?)If you think you can just get away with that then you deserve a bad review.Now considering we use it 4 to 5 times at a cost around 30 quid I know it’s not a lot money couple hundred quid 150 quid whatever, well that business is now going to lose our business.

We were visiting Lee Valley and wanted something other than pub food and stumbled across Mezzom. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and our server Mustafa was great with our two kids who both found meals they liked on the fantastically priced lunch menu. Will definitely swing by again when we’re next in the area! Thanks again!

Needed to catch up with my younger brother – and this was the PERFECT place. A very clean, relaxed environment, with great food, super wine and fantastic service. A very polite girl called Romena looked after us on Thursday evening. Very friendly and super polite service (well done Romena). I’ve visited Mezzom a few times now – and can’t fault it. My friends and I had a great meal and the service was amazing. Musti especially made the experience enjoyable. Since the last time I came the food has definitely improved and I will be looking forward to coming again.

Visit just to the waitress the best looking waitress in Hertfordshire. Very professional absolute rocket. Needs full Vegas treatment.

Three of us went at lunchtime and had a very tasty meal at a great price It composed of 2 combined starters and a main course - all for £8.90 Not enormous portions but very adequate and along with the bread, we came out feeling very full. Served by a pleasant waiter called Musti Our only complaint is that we would have preferred him to wear a mask or a visor as he came very near

We came across this restaurant after trying to find somewhere to eat after a day out. Overall, we enjoyed the meal. It was a quiet Sunday evening, so there was just us and another table there. The service was good & very attentive.We had a sharing board for starter which was nice, and then a wrap for main. The wrap was ok, however in our option it lacked flavour and could have been better.

When visiting my parents in nazeing we always use this place for a take away and we have yet had a bad meal from here, the portions are a good size at a good price, also the staff are very polite so I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited Mezzom couple of weeks ago for a friends birthday. All the staff were very welcoming. Ilyos, in particular, was very kind and made us feel very comfortable. He provided an amazing, efficient service, really made the effort with us and made sure our meal, and whole experience was very enjoyable. He made my friends birthday very special and we will definitely return.

People in broxbourne i just want to make a quick announcement that this turkish restaurant mezzom is fantastic the customer service was amazing they were very helpfull with picking what meal to go for but the waiter recommended me the lamb shish and it was very delicious i have not eaten nothing like this lamb shish befofe, ive been to different kind of restaurants but mezzom is just diffrent. Very nice food and always busy. Bit on the pricey side, a main dish of 3 mushrooms in ‘chefs special sauce’ is £14.00 which is ridiculous! Apart from that, the lamb shish is soft and melts in the mouth, home made bread is lovely, and staff very friendly

Visited this restaurant with a few friends on a quite night of the week. Attentive pleasant service all the way through. Food was well presented with good portion size and all very tasty though one of the kebabs was not as tender than expected. A large restaurant and maybe due to lack of customers on the night it felt colder than what it should have been. Reasonable price too.

Did the lunch menu which is 2 starter and a main for £8.99 which really is a bargain price! However we arrived to an empty restaurant but we had pre booked a table so they were expecting us. 6 other people arrived spread over 2 tables they all got served before us! It took an hour and a half to get our meal and eat it!! And I had an appointment so was beginning to panic after 30 mins and no salad bread starters or dips etc!Lamb shish was neck of lamb meat small portions and the chicken had been bashed so not chunks, a kind of mashed chicken. I’ve had much better food in this restaurant before and with all the competition in Hoddesdon for Turkish/ Mediterranean you have to do better than this. A relaxed lunch became a stressful, disappointing waste of time

Absolutely fantastic Turkish Restaurant, the Lamb Chops are to die for, Ilyos & Manny looked after us like royalty, but they looked after all the other customers equally well, all in all fabulous, well done

A superb Turkish Restaurant, the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive which helps create a totally relaxed atmosphere in which to dine. Both the drinks and food menu's are large enough to cater for any need, the food is freshly cooked to order, which makes the whole experience 5 Star.

I was in the restaurant with my family I made a very nice welcoming service It was unique, and cocktails amazing specially the platter (MEZZOM SPECIAL) the best.

I went to this Turkish restaurant because a friend had recommended it so I took my wife for her birthday with the family it was 28 of us on a busy Saturday night and still with all the pressure that the staff must to have been under my food was pretty much the best Turkish I have eaten in a very long time and I go to Turkish restaurant at leat once a week but this place is going to be my second house, our waiter Manny gave us such a good service that I would have never expected and no one thing wrong went with our table and at the end we didn’t have a cake but Manny our waiter surprised us with one and a little show for my wife lol they where so amazing plus all the cocktails where amazing and specially our food was the greatest, I want a big thank you to all the staff and chefs for giving us such a great time

Went to Mezzum restaurant yesterday evening for my fathers birthday for the first time. A hidden gem in mine and my families eyes. The staff, quality of food and atmosphere were second to none. We had a surprise birthday cake for dad and the staff put on an old time classic (forgot the name) which made everyone get involved with the clapping and singing happy birthday, but I think the staff did it on 5 occasions bless them as others had their birthdays too. I don't hardly leave reviews, but when I'm fully satisfied with everything I feel it's fully deserved and will certainly visit more often.

Our friend manny provided the great service we come to expect from mezzom. Couldn’t have chose a better place with a better waiter. Will definitely visit again

Really impressed with this place, a real gem. We were spoilt for choice with the menu, so many lovely fish dishes to choose from. The service here is very good, super friendly and helpful.

Good range of dishes on the menu for meat eaters and vegetarians. We enjoyed some tarama and Turkish bread before tucking into excellent main courses. The service was impeccable - but the music a little too loud for our liking.

A last min pop in to this a regular venue for ourselves. Never a wasted visit here as the food and staff are second to none. Tonight was the lamb chops and lamb shush. Beautifully cooked as per usual. See you again soon.

We arrived early 6.40 with my 90 year old(it was actually her birthday) Mother-in-law. We had advised in advance that she had difficulty walking. On arrival, head waitress was waiting at the door to greet us, nice touch. Restaurant fairly quiet when we arrived but got very busy as the evening went on (Wed eve). Starter and Mains very generous portions, make sure you are hungry when you eat here! We decided to not have a dessert and ordered our bill and a cab. We were starting to think our bill was a long time coming....next thing we knew, our waitress and the staff came along with a cake and a rousing chorus, in their own style, of Happy Birthday!! Then proceed to make a fuss of 'The Birthday Girl' as we left the restaurant, lovely touch!!

Not your usual Turkish Restaurant, very good quality kebabs served by attentive and helpful staff. The food was very tasty and plentiful, definitely recommend if you want to try good quality Turkish food, slightly more expensive than the usual but well worth paying the extra.

My husband and I eat here quite regularly. The food is great & the service is fantastic. There is one particular waiter called Malik who is so friendly & accommodating. He is a real asset to this restaurant and one of the reasons we keep coming back! Would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I live locally and visit this lovely little restaurant every month or so. There is a friendly airy feel to the venue with food typical of the genre but always well cooked and extremely tasty. The service is top draw. Malik in particular is superb and probably the best front of house / waiter in any restaurant we’ve eaten in for a long time. Courteous, friendly, amusing he makes a good meal into a really lovely evening without ever being fussy or intrusive. We really like this place and highly recommend it.

We've driven past this restaurant so many times but finally decided to pay it a visit and we weren't disappointed. The decor is very good with interesting light features as you enter. The layout of the restaurant is such that you don't feel squashed in even though it is quite long and thin in places. The atmosphere was also very pleasant as even though it was busy we were still able to hold a conversation without having to shout across the table. The food was we chose was really good, I loved the calamari and lamb chops but all the dishes we saw coming out look great too. Can't wait to go back and try some more. The staff were very attentive and friendly and we never felt ignored but were also left alone to enjoy the evening.

The grilled sea bass on the bone was so fresh and tasty and served with delicious salad and bread. Also liked the Turkish white wine. All other food looked good too. A great atmosphere - made you feel like you were on holiday!

We ate there for dinner early on a Friday evening in March. We had not reserved a table but at that time it was not particularly busy. We ate a cold meze as a starter and a mixed grill for a main course so we could share tasters of a variety of Turkish foods. Both dishes were plentiful, beautifully presented and extremely good value for money. Lots of attentive, friendly waiters.

Stopped of for an impromptu lunch and was very pleased we did. We ordered wraps, I had the lamb kofta, my partner had the lamb shush. We were brought complementary breads with dips. The bread, a flat bread was made fresh in restaurant and was delicious. So nice to find home made items like this. My kofta was delicious, cooked beautifullly with a pinkness that kept it very moist. I noticed that later I was not over thirsty as I've been with other koftas that they over salt to give flavour. Mem our waiter was very attentive and very friendly, making us feel very welcome. The wrap came with either rice or chips, but although this wouldn't be my choice, I'm aware this is very much the norm. The restaurant has a nice feel to it, up market, yet relaxed. I will be back. The front of the restaurant has bifold doors and in summer I can image enjoying a lunch and drink and enjoying the weather.

I visited Mezzom just before Christmas with a large group, it was my first time there, and I must say the food and service was excellent,

I liked the flatbreads they bought you with 2 dips to start with. The kleftico we both ordered was very tender and flavoursome. Nice salad - something I normally don’t like but this one was cut up small with a good variety in it. I thought the wines a tad expensive so just had a small beer. Turkish delight served with the bill - lovely finishing touch.

We were at Mezzom's last night with a large party of thirteen. The food was excellent, delicious and well presented. It was served with efficiency and humour by Mehmet, our waiter. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also warm and inviting and the over whelming opinion in our party is that we will definitely be returning there again to enjoy more of their Turkish cuisine.
