We visited the 'Spark bar abs kitchen' for the first time and it was a great experience. The gentleman that served us, Dennis, was a brilliant host. He made us feel welcomed and had us laughing throughout our time. Even surprised me with a slice of cake for my birthday and I even got a lollipop. The food was amazing, full of flavour and plentiful. We left feeling full and had leftovers too. I had a frozen cocktail which was brilliant, the fruit inside was not soggy, stayed solid, so nice. The prices are reasonable here too. Music in the background, gave it a nice atmosphere. The service on the whole was 10/10, especially for our first time here. We'll definitely come back and we'll bring the rest of the family. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped into a Sparks Kitchen today for an impromptu lunch and was looked after by Denis. The food was cooked to perfection! We had pan-fried prawns, mixed Shiah. liver and chicken caesar salad - all extremely tasty. 100% recommend this place. Thanks to Denis.

We had a lovely meal in Sparks for my daughters 13th birthday. The waiter Denis surprised my daughter with a desserts and a candle and sang to her which was so lovely. My parents have never been here before and really loved their experience. Thank you Sparks for yet another amazing visit

Really really good restaurant in the high street. Creamy garlic mush for starter and shared the mixed grill for a main , felt the need to add the chips as an extra,needn’t have. Absolutely stuffed.

kebabs were perfectly grilled-juicy, tender, and packed with rich flavours. The side dishes, especially the bread and sauces complemented the meal perfectly

I had dinner at Spark and honestly, the food was incredible. I ordered the Lambshish and it was cooked perfectly—flavorful, fresh, and just the right portion size. The seasoning was spot on, and you could tell they use quality ingredients. I also tried the spicy beef sausage which was just as good—crispy, and not greasy at all. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail in the flavors. Everything tasted balanced, not too salty or overpowering, just really well done. If you’re a fan of Turkish this place is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be back for sure!

Had a table of 11 booked for tonight at 8pm.Only 3 had starters,mains came at 10pm, a wait of 2hrs, and 1 one of those was undercooked and got sent back.Drinks were few and far between, again after prompting.Even when we asked for water on the table, we got 1 bottle and 2 glasses for 11 people.Absolute shame, ruined what could of been a good nigh

Went to Spark with some friends last night, I haven’t been for a year or so and was shocked at the changes in portions. I ordered the mixed grill and was given 2 small cubes of lamb and 2 small cubes of chicken along with the normal skewer length of Kofte. 2 small cubes of chicken and lamb on a mixed grill for £23! Even the rice portion has halved and was no bigger than 2 tablespoons. The plate was loaded with salad to bulk it out but definitely not worth the money.

I had a fantastic dining experience here! The drinks and food were absolutely delicious. Our server, Denis, was outstanding—attentive and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal. I highly recommend the mixed board to share; it’s a great selection of flavors. The mixed fish kebab was also a standout—tender and full of taste. Be sure to finish off your meal with a rich Turkish coffee and the decadent chocolate brownie—such a sweet ending to a wonderful meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Came here with a big group for my birthday in November, wouldn't go anywhere else in Hoddesdon...absolutely love this place! Food and service is outstanding- you always feel really looked after here. They brought me out a birthday dessert too! Very special place couldn't recommended highly enough. Didn't get any pictures apart from our starter😍

Amazing food and drinks and service and atmosphere everything 10/10 !!!

We had our staff Xmas do here and it was very busy. However, despite that, the food was excellent and served with it's own unique flair. Even the bread with the meze dips was different and very tasty. I honestly don't know how the staff coped. The only thing that spoiled it a tiny bit was the live music that was too loud for my liking and pretty much killed all conversation for people over a certain age! But that's not unique to this location and lots of people like that. But having said that, I'm really impressed and I'd definitely recommend it as a venue. I'm guessing that out of the holiday season it's going to be quieter. Parking is also easy. It's not obvious but there is a public car park just a very short walk through the pedestrianised centre which has free parking after 6.30.

I’ve been to Spark many times but on this occasion I came with my family for a lunch on a Sunday and we had a lovely time. The food is always tasty and the portions very generous. The staff are very friendly and attentive which always makes for a good experience. They really take the time to make your experience there feel personal and special. The management is excellent and the atmosphere is good. I would highly recommend Spark to anyone!

We have recently moved and had a regular Turkish restaurant which had a similar vibe but I am glad to say that we are so glad to find this little gem and glad to say our host Mesut was great

We went to try first time today. The food was lovely and very enjoyable & the atmosphere very pleasant, would definitely go again, only thing I would say would be for the waiters to be more relaxed, has you can feel like your being hurried, even though they were very polite and professional. Had a good experience, food was good, very enjoyable.

I have been going to sparks ever since it opened. But tonite has been the worst service ever. My partner doesn't eat rice so we have always changed rice for chips. Tonite we were told we can't do it no more so had to pay for chips. We waited so long to have our orders taken tables came in after us eat and left before we got our food. Wasn't told that you now pay for the breads you get. I can't drink alcohol so asked for some water got given a small glass of water warm not even any ice. The waitress wasn't that pleasant either. Sad to say I won't be going back again or even recommend it to any one has I have in the past

A great place to have a fancy dinner where you can enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food which is rare in Hoddesdon to have both things at the same place. Their service was beyond excellent as their staff were very friendly and helpful! The Lamb shish and Ezme salad was so delicious and fresh! The mix sea food was also great and then you can finish it up with their homemade baklava!

Everything was very good. Definitely 5 stars. Prices are very reasonable. Especially the ‘house special lamb’ ‘octopus’ ‘goat cheese’ was great.

Hi everyone! I’ve been going to this restaurant for years! even on our birthday party’s for all my kids I been going there, today I have very bad experience with one of the staff waitress , we was seven people, we wanted to eat some ice cream and the guy is very rude. I told him politely please bring us the menu because I want to have some ice cream ! and he said just ice cream nothing else!! I said yes for today only ice cream, he gave us a very bad look that he wasn’t happy because I’m ordering only ice cream ! Anyway, he brings us the menu and he throw the menu on very rude way on the table . And then he asked us again so you guys having ice cream and drinks nothing else I said no drinks only ice cream that’s all. then he walks away with a very bad attitude! Then I got very upset and I told him you’re not professional you are very rude and you don’t respect your job. This is not how to treat the customers. I told him I’m a regular customer here. Anyway He doesn’t want to know. He says I’m not serving you and he gone . So after that we left as well , we didn’t want the ice cream anymore as we were very upset. I’m not going there anymore.. unless that guy has gone from there.

Service was good but unfortunately my daughter had a burger and the bun was stale and very crumbly. Their response was that the “bread was crispy”. There a huge difference between a stale bread and a crispy one. We have been there quite a few times and the food used to be really nice.

Decent restaurant decent food. Staff are nice. Dont appreciate been forced to pay a massive service charge at end though inwould rather leave the staff physical tips. As staff mentioned they don't get the service charge paid too them

Rude staff, expensive & very average food, singer there on Saturday was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation

This was my second Turkish meal in Hoddesdon High Street in three days, and the previous meal down the road had set the bar high. Tonight was my twin girls’ birthday, so I was really hoping for something special. From the beginning to the end, we were looked after in the way a restaurant should. The waiting staff made us feel special which, on a random Tuesday night, isn’t easy to do. The food was faultless, but it was the small touches of class, quality and, quite frankly, love sprinkled onto the evening that made the difference. Why can’t all restaurants be like this? It’s about effort. That’s all. Nobody minds paying good money for a meal out if the restaurant makes an effort to provide value. Spark Bar and Kitchen does just that. They were at pains to ensure we felt special on this special night. When the waitress noticed an insect had dropped into my half consumed pint of Efes beer, she immediately replaced the whole drink without hesitation. When we were given a slightly incorrect order, the waiter gave us the incorrect dish as an additional freebee. And the icing on the cake was a happy birthday song for my girls and a complimentary dessert and drink. Truly first class and a lesson to an aspiring restaurant as to how it should be done. Thank you to everyone involved in making this a great evening.

Came here with a group of friends on Saturday . Food overall is of decent quality , but the portions are very small . Thr salad looks more like a garnish and a large chicken shish skewer was 1* 6 pieces which were of average size . I live in London and go to Turkish restaurants often and would say this is charging overinflated prices . Service was slow and I asked for ketchup 3 times . At a cost of £100 which is essentially rice , salad and some meat is ridiculous . This isn’t even a prime location . Looks to me that all the the money they rip people off with goes into to tasteless interiors . Looks more like a food place / wine bar rather . What we receive does not represent value for money . The waiter gave me a cheeky remark when I asked to remove service charge. Don’t understand how you can charge £20 for a small kebab and service charge on top . What’s the £20 for ? Portions were very small . Won’t be returning. Food was of a decent quality though .

Chanced upon this place when dropping off our daughter to a friend's. What a treat! The food was amazing, staff attentive & nothing too much trouble, atmosphere great and live singer was an extra bonus! Can't fault anything about this gorgeous little place. With the front opened out and the sun shining it felt like we were on holiday! Will definitely go back.

Oh what a lovely place. Such a wonderful atmosphere. Food is delicious. Now I definitely want to come back again to try more things. Staff were amazing 👏 They are so busy, but table served professionally in short time and with a smile.
